It is very well suited for a mid-level organization that has limited data and that does not require very complex analysis by integration with other software and data analysis. It is also very good to have a holistic view of financial analysis, accounts payable, receivables, payroll management, and other financial areas. It would not be very suitable when it requires integration with other software and tools, this could be one area of improvement. It can have better API's.

For a smaller company I can see this being a realistic solution. The cost is relatively low, complexity and install isn't too painful, and it's not difficult to use for the most part. As a large enterprise ERP system I believe this is a bit too simple. It is a cheaper alternative but would be hard to use if we were much larger.

• Unfortunately, usability is a major issue at times. I hear complaints about dropped network traffic, and it's not our infrastructure.
• The interface is confusing. We have to train new employees with a lot of detailed instructions which shouldn't be necessary.
• We have had to pay for any support on the above issues.

• The necessity to buy individual modules to fit specific needs is a bit of a pain, it feels like you're being nickle and dimed.
• Revision control on bills of material and parts is not intuitive or easy. We have not purchased the engineering change module, but it appears it may be needed to really implement this.
• It's difficult to transfer engineering models from popular solid modeling software, requiring a third party solution to really make the transfer work as designed.

We selected 24SevenOffice because the vendor made a lot of promises and demos related to network uptime and features. None of this ended up being exactly correct in real life. I have never used any other PM software so I can't really speak to how it compares in a lot of those ways.
