Chose Newswire
We find NewsWire so much easier to use and it seems to actually get reach. In the past, we didn't seem to get any actual visibility on our releases, but NewsWire shows us who read our release and where.
I am not sure if this is still the case, but I recall that PR Newswire was quite a lot more expensive without justifying the additional spend for our use case.
They all seem the same to me, just with varying interfaces and pricing. I went with Newswire just because I've used them in the past and have had a good experience. I am sure Cision is also good as it's an industry leader. The markets are a little varied, too, but I have not …
I chose Newswire over PR Newswire because I have had multiple bad experiences with Cision and PR Newswire. The experiences were bad enough and costly enough to our company that I wouldn't go back to anything with them in the future. I found that Newswire was perfect for our …
Newswire is more economical. Cision is kind of viewed as the leader, but for "the rest of us," Newswire makes more sense to enter into earned placements.
PR Newswire is good for specific audiences; we use Newswire as part of the marketing channel mix. We found Newswire is more easy to use completed to others and its audience segmentation carters for different audiences and this is great to have another services
Newswire is affordable compared to the other products in this segment and very user-friendly. The onboarding process is quick, simple, and smooth and the product is entirely self-serve. Others have strict guidelines for content review and take time and support intervention for …
24-7 Press Release was a cheaper option (at least, when I used it), but there wasn't nearly the sort of visibility on the distribution once things were published. PR Newswire had a very extensive process for creating an account, and the last time I worked with them, I had …
Newswire is much easier to use and the interface is much more intuative. We always struggled with the targeting in Cision, but that is made simple with Newswire.
Newswire hands-down beats these other platforms based on their unique price-to-feature-set ratio. We couldn't find a better value and user experience on any of these other platforms when we went through our discovery and evaluation process. All in all, we are very happy with …
I’ve never used any other service because I haven’t had to! I’ve gotten inquiries to use other services in the past, but I am 100% satisfied with Newswire as my go-to tool for press release submission. I’ve also recommended several friends to switch over to Newswire, and they …
Newswire makes much more sense than Cision PRWeb, in my opinion. Costs are flat versus recurring monthly or annual costs. In our business, our press releases are timed based on work completion and company events that are sometimes difficult to plan, so Newswire allows us to pay …
Newswire is more expensive. However, their platform is cleaner and easier to use, their review process is much more thorough, and their distribution is a far wider range and, in my experience, much more targeted to the types of publications we want to be in. Additionally, we …
We have been a loyal customer of Newswire because it is easy to use, and we are able to pay for press releases using "credits." This makes sense for us because we do not send too many press releases per year, as it all depends on the partnerships we develop.
We still use SEMrush for our SEO and content department and don't use BuzzSumo much for social media these days so what BuzzSumo does for our agency it does better than the competitors and that's primarily advanced monitoring and the relevant data associated with placements …
We have used TapInfluence and it is definitely better for finding influencers, but it does lack a lot of the other capabilities that are available with BuzzSumo.
BuzzSumo is a great software because it does a little bit of everything, but it does not do some of the focuses super well, such as influencer marketing, etc.
We have used TapInfluence which is much more expensive. It is definitely better in the influencer category, but BuzzSumo provides more functionality beyond that.
I am not really sure of another software out there that does all of these things within one. It really is diverse and saves on additional subscriptions.
Buffer is a tool that can be very useful for certain uses of Twitter, but in reality, it is very limited when you want to demand a little more. The pros actually weigh a lot, but the serious limitations in several regards do not allow us to give it a higher mark.
Buzzsumo seems pretty far ahead of many of its competitors. Specifically, I find that its data pool is much more extensive and in-depth compared to mainstream competitors. For example, Buzzsumo seems to be more aware overall of tangential topics that are relevant to–but not …
Buzzsumo is really easy to understand and does give a clear insight on trends and subjects to keep an eye on. It's a general tool that not only keeps up with keywords but with the subject in general, which is very convenient. Also, it doesn't need a big tutorial to get through, …
Sprout Social and Salesforce are extremely expensive and don't offer the same powerful content marketing features that Buzzsumo offers for a third of the price
The crisis monitoring and social listening tools within Buzzsumo are much more user-friendly
I have found Buzzsumo to be great regarding its social aspect (finding influencers, popular content and getting shares), but in order to reach out to influencers you need to use other tools.
Also, Buzzsumo can be used to find socially popular content but other tools might be …
I selected BuzzSumo because it had a few insights that Google Trends didn't. However, because Google Trends is free, I would recommend it to anyone who wants similar features, but can't afford to pay the price for BuzzSumo.
Buzzsumo is probably the best tool when it comes to social shares. Other tools like Ahrefs and Mention can get you similar data, but those tools have other focuses (social mentions and baclinks). If you want accurate social share counts for your blog and other companies, …
Google Trends is amazing, but Busssumo gives you influencers. Trends will influence what you write. Buzzsumo influence who you write to. It is a difficult one to answer. Both are great, but I would happily pay for Buzzsumo.
Buzzsumo has more features when compared to Followerwonk. I only ever used Followerwonk to find new followers on Twitter and build out targeted lists. Buzzsumo I use endlessly for competitive research (social media, back links, social media influencers as well as top performing …
Personally, I see no difference between Newswire and other press release services. This one's available with our current PR SAAS solution, there's nothing wrong with it, and pricing is usually somewhat competitive. These days nothing works as well as actual media relations, so Newswire comes in handy for just having a solid link for a press release and getting the SEO on backlinked sites.
It's well suited for marketing agencies of all sizes who need to quickly monitor the placements of their clients in the media. It's helpful to professional content creators to see how existing content and topics are performing online. It's perhaps less appropriate for a single freelance user with a limited budget who could do much of that work for free online, albeit with far greater consumption of their most valuable resource - time.
Communication via video calls and emails. They were responsive to any questions we had.
Provided all the information we needed to make the decision to move forward. They had the materials around what publications and news outlets they could get into for us.
From Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Reddit data, to large scale content analysis, influencers, trending news stories and media alerts, you get it all.
Helps me find the best topics for content writing, allows my organization to track word patterns.
The editorial process was always very hard on our sale releases. Even if we followed the same structure we used to with PR Wire they would flag it as advertorial.
The option for video is nice but would be better to actually embed it into a part of the release versus just floating at the bottom.
Would be interesting for them to share more industry-specific releases or give the option to only get emails on specific industries. The E-blasts are always too general.
Simply put, they are a great team, excellent support and a platform that is so seamless to use. Great reporting content, can do attitude and a solution / product that works. They are an established company and there are many 'new companies' out there claiming to offer a better service but they lack the depth and capabilities of the Newswire platform
Simple step-by-step process to get your news out to the world. Easy to understand process and explanation as you go through the steps. Each upgrade does have a charge, but it's pretty visible. Once you get familiar with their platform and systems, it becomes fairly easy to use to get your news published. It's also nice how quickly you are able to get the news out and published in the places you choose.
The interface is a little clunky for me, especially on mobile. However, the directions are clear and it didn't take long for me to figure out how to use it. I just wish that things were a little more streamlined.
When we have needed support, the Newswire support team has responded quickly and been very clear about what we need to know. We have never had a significant issue and they have been very helpful at cleaning up any points of confusion on our part. I always feel like they have my back.
The support we have received over the years has been wonderful. They have definitely demonstrated excellent customer service. We find the chat support to be the quickest and most useful for the day-to-day questions. A rep always responds very timely, answers our questions, and sends a follow-up to ensure we're maintaining success
It is a very simple product to get started using, particularly for press releases. I have no used the other functionality so I can't say for sure how easy or difficult that might be, but my guess is that the way the platform is built makes it easy for anybody to get started.
To be honest, they are very similar in many ways. Business Wire, for example, is more focused on business news as opposed to other types of news. Newswire has a more general and broader application. Other news services like Bloomberg are only interested if the company is traded on one of the stock markets.
Sprout Social and Salesforce are extremely expensive and don't offer the same powerful content marketing features that Buzzsumo offers for a third of the price
The crisis monitoring and social listening tools within Buzzsumo are much more user-friendly
The permissions in Sprout Social get very confusion and setup has been a pain and the content analysis features aren't that intuitive
In a new technology area, Newswire has helped us build brand recognition.
During the pressures put on Healthcare over the past COVID periods our presence in the Marketplace have been difficult to maintain. Newswire has been key in our efforts.
When medical imaging AI tools exploded on the scene three years ago, there were over 150 vendors at conferences. Those that didn't promote with tools like Newswire and now gone.
