Macrium Reflect is an endpoint and server backup and cloning solution from Macrium Software (aka Paramount Software UK), available in personal and professional editions.
Sophos has an excellent product. Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, though provides the true integration with other security products and 3rd part systems that we need. In addition, the ability to secure the backups and scan for issues is a great benefit.

Acronis Backup Cloud has more features than eFolder, and is less than 1/3rd of the cost. In terms of restores, it's faster than eFolder if you use the local component. The restoration component is much better than Carbonite's, which has a tendency to drop connection midway …
Acronis is a great solution and provides a flexible amount of ways to backup and restore data. For software, it competes directly with Carbonite, ShadowProtect, Veeam, and Veritas. Most of these solutions are agent based and require licenses for each. Acronis does a great …
Gravit8 was originally making use of BackupAgent - which was then purchased by Acronis, redesigned, and rebranded. Since this acquisition, we have seen constant improvements and feel that Acronis Backup Cloud is in a league of its own.
Price! All the services have low entry points and then hit you with big fees. Acronis Advanced Backup provides better management and control of your cost then the other services we evaluated. We have tested a number of solutions not on the list that have are price competitive, …
I believe Acronis has the easiest interface to control backups and restores. The backup solution that didn't work the best for us was Symantec Backup. The other backup solutions (Unitrends, Barracuda, and Veeam) have similar backup features as Acronis and are recommended. …
I used Symantec Ghost probably 12 or 13 years ago - outside of that, I haven't looked elsewhere for an imaging software suite. Acronis Advanced Backup is fantastic at what is does, and supports previously made backups when you upgrade. So I have no fear utilizing them for the …
Acronis is by far much easier to configure and gain access to cloud resources. Acronis is cloud only whereas Veeam requires an on prem server. We tested both and have found that we were unable to accomplish our goals utilizing Veeam.
Acronis Disaster Recovery Service provides an entirely cloud-based service that can be managed anywhere without the need for additional hardware. While we do offer other DRaaS options, they mainly involve redundant hardware that is costly and typically not suitable for small …
We went with Acronis Backup Cloud because we're able to backup all platforms, not just PCs. And the price was good when it comes to all those options. It's a hard sell to clients, but when explained properly, the understand the cost of a good solution. It's like having good …
We used Veeam previously and were constantly having to contact support for issues that would pop up all the time. Constant issues with backup chains getting corrupted and no longer being able to back up. We have had very few issues in the last year after switching over to …
It offers a unified solution for backup, malware protection, recovery and patch management. Setup is easy and management is straightforward too. It saves time since you have everything in one dashboard.
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud has an "open ear" for MSP's needs and adjusts services when it is necessary. Have also NFR for MSP and this is a very good motive to try and sell more products and services.
Single agent for backup AND cybersecurity. Better pricing and easier deployment translates to better margins. Superb sales and technical support, comprehensive partner portal, free training for all of our technical and sales team members, combine it all together and we have a …
The people that work in Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, all the time support us. The simple way to do business with Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, the easy way to deploy and manage the services, the functional choices to bring to our customers an individual service.
Previously, I used Acronis as my company purchased licensing for years. It's great, but I found Macrium Reflect more straightforward, and the free version has been perfect for personal use.
Veeam offers Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows, a product we also install and use. It compares favorably with Macrium Reflect; however, for small firms and individual wanting an added cloud backup of their full hard drive, Macrium wins out in requiring less cloud storage space …
We used IBM and Freesync, but all other software had file differences. Architecture kind of backups take a long time for our 10tb storage. We compared times and it's x5 faster because Macrium is a block-based backup system instead of file comparison, and won't affect …
The endpoint protection is fantastic. Being able to recover a single file on the fly has saved many customers hours of frustration. Long term recovery of O365 data has worked well. I bit more difficult but not Acronis Advanced Backup issue, it has been MS issues. Nothing beats on premise backup / recovery speed but, when it is not available, Acronis Advanced Backup gets the job done for bare metal recovery.
Macrium Reflect is one of the best partition backup applications available in the market. It can also clone drives in addition to making images of partitions and has a very useful feature of creating a bootable recovery drive for restoring partition(s) in case the OS is not booting. There are also different products for varying needs of the end user- Macrium Reflect Server, Workstation, etc. I have restored my system without any errors many times with Macrium.
They do not sell their product directly, so a reseller is needed - or third party website to process payments for them in order to download the product suite.
They have done away with stand-alone software purchases, and have moved to a yearly subscription-based model. It's affordable, but you never truly "own" the software now.
They recently raised the pricing for backup usage and our price has nearly doubled. It is still lower than some other vendors, but we might review other options before renewing next year.
Overall, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is powerful and effective. The platform has user-friendly features and a centralized dashboard that simplifies management across multiple clients. This platform integrates backup, recovery, and security features effectively, all in one. It makes our lives easier.
Support has been helpful when we have had to reach out. We have not had to contact support that much so I do not have much feedback on them. I met the support team at the Cyber Summit and they are all very nice, smart individuals.
We have not been opening tickets for support from Macrium at the moment, only for licencing issues, but good attention and fast response by the support team. They respond pretty fast to our emails and fixed our issues giving us a good explanation of our case without any complications. Due to the good functionality of the software we have not opened a ticket for support in years.
Sophos has an excellent product. Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, though provides the true integration with other security products and 3rd part systems that we need. In addition, the ability to secure the backups and scan for issues is a great benefit.
Veeam offers Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows, a product we also install and use. It compares favorably with Macrium Reflect; however, for small firms and individual wanting an added cloud backup of their full hard drive, Macrium wins out in requiring less cloud storage space by a significant margin. ShadowProtect is a rock solid competitor with a higher price and no free version. It is highly dependable, but more complicated to install and set up. The number of technical issues and quality of technical support have ruled out Acronis products. MSP360 Backup has impressive technology, but we encountered issues with restore times and full drive image restores.
We have been able to further develop our customerbase and and more MSP as our partners
Overall the recurring revenue coming from Acronis, will help us to increase revenue and margin, without investing in new hardware and save on energy-cost.
It is time consuming to implement Acronis into our system and train our employees. With this there is also cost involved, but we believe in the long-term investements we make here.
