So far, we've only worked with AVI-SPL on classroom upgrades and maintenance, and general purchasing. So far, these experiences have been overall positive collaborations. They are always prompt in creating purchasing quotes, coming on-site for classroom walkthroughs, designing AV upgrades/solutions, etc. They are also very personable while maintaining a professional demeanor.

  • The desk mics are a game changer. They can be moved closer to the presenter so that there is never a missed word!
  • The camera quality is great! It's important to us to look professional to others outside of the company and this technology helps with that.
  • The quick response time on technical issues. Yes, there is always a wait time to have a tech come out. But it also goes to show they stay busy because they are in high demand! Every tech from the installation to software issues that have came to the office are very informative about the software and incredibly nice, which is appreciated more than you know.

  • The wait time for the components has been very long.
  • Some of the components agreed upon in the original contract have been discontinued so parts are changing.
  • Because of parts being discontinued, we will now have a controller that is no longer removable from the wall.

They are a great company to work with overall, but there is always room for improvement. We have had incredibly positive experiences with our main sales rep for any and all purchases. The installation team in southwest VA is lacking and lead to quite a lot of issues on a large scale project last year.

Their customer portal which is linked to the initial service ticket that you open is often not updated with your service ticket details or status. You have to rely on the case worker assigned to your ticket to give you updates. It is difficult to just check the status or close notes yourself without searching through your email messages

The support desk has been responsive, however, there have been times where they try to send us a technician in a timeframe outside of our agreement. So occasionally we have to push back a little to get the on-site support we need in a timely manner. Otherwise, they're pretty easy to work with.

I have use plenty of other A/V companies in the past. They all have they pros and cons. AVI-SPL has consistently proven they can get the job done on time, within budget, and the type of quality I need and expect. AVI-SPL's service department has been able to keep our rooms going on short notice whenever we have an issue. It was a no-brainer to purchase a service contract with them.

  • With the products they supplied, I was better able to present the information to my clients.
  • Based on the conference room size, they help determine the best projector that would optimize the viewing for the clients in the room.
  • This had a positive impact as I was more effectively able to communicate the information to my clients in an engaging manner.
