QQCatalyst is an insurance agency management platform described by the vendor QQSolutions as easy to learn and use, with internal CRM and marketing automation.
AMS360 is a solid platform to run an insurance agency. Their support during issues is stellar. Our issues came only after we said we needed to pivot a different direction, then everything went to pot.
I think AMS360 is more user-friendly and has many options that are time savers if you learn to use them. Integration with the companies is significant for me as well. They seem to be on the front end of technology and integration with companies like Bridge and Agency …
We acquire agencies with a long list of different management systems; after vetting the systems we currently utilize within our agencies, AMS360 came out on top as the most inclusive program set. Vertafore products are really rounding out their set of systems that really create …
We have considered other platforms from time to time but have felt comfortable staying with AMS360. New users appear to understand AMS360 quickly and customize it to their personal preferences. Older users, generally reluctant to changes, are more receptive to updates as they …
Both systems are similar in terms of management capabilities. We went with AMS360 as it better fit my group as a whole. I do think that reports were much more easily run in Applied than AMS360. I hadn't used Applied for accounting, but it seems the AMS360 is a little cumbersome …
I have used HawkSoft for over 8 years, so we know their system like the back of my hand. I have been using AMS360 for over 6 months, so it's really not fair to compare both at this level of knowledge of AMS360. It's still a learning curve with AMS360. So far when we compare …
HawkSoft is good for personal lines, but it can be very tedious to enter all information for each policy. QQCatalyst is better suited for Commercial lines than HawkSoft. As of the date of this review.
When I started looking at management systems I first looked at AMS360 since it's the Cadillac of management systems. However, it's a hefty upfront investment and the monthly is steep for a start-up agency. At that time EZlynx just had their rater platform however when they came …
If you use PL Rating, AMS360 is highly recommended due to their seamless integration. Also, if you are looking for a system to use on the cloud, it is best. But if you are an offline user, then maybe it's not for you.
I used NowCerts and also HawkSoft. QQCatalyst is just easier to navigate, process changes, send certificates of insurance and just get policy information. HawkSoft is a good system but their niche is personal lines. I can create Premium Finance Companies and MGA's with QQCatalyst and NowCerts, not with HawkSoft. QQCatalyst and NowCerts are 100% cloud based. If you have a lot of personal lines clients, then QQCatalyst is not a good option. QQCatalyst needs to update the Acord 25 form in their system so we can actually use all the spaces provided by the Acord company; right now we cant enter information for insurance company "F" anywhere using QQCatalyst.
This is by far the most robust agency management system I have used that works for all sizes of agencies. Others have better options here or there, but they are highly customized for a specific type of agency. AMS360 is a one size fits all type of solution, and it works well for us.
We have considered other platforms from time to time but have felt comfortable staying with AMS360. New users appear to understand AMS360 quickly and customize it to their personal preferences. Older users, generally reluctant to changes, are more receptive to updates as they come up since transitions have been easily understandable .
When I started looking at management systems I first looked at AMS360 since it's the Cadillac of management systems. However, it's a hefty upfront investment and the monthly is steep for a start-up agency. At that time EZlynx just had their rater platform however when they came out with the management platform a year or so later we strongly considered making the switch. EZlynx is an excellent management system but given the price to transfer data from one platform to the other we decided not to proceed. Lastly HawkSoft has gone through quite a few changes over the year and though they've really beefed up the backend I'm still not a fan of the user interface. All three systems are excellent options, really boils down to preference and affordability which is why we went with QQCatalyst as it fit the bill across the board.
