Animaker vs. VEED.IO

Animaker is best suited for short projects that are well-defined. We have found it very useful for developing our explainer videos, concept illustrations for pitching new product functions or iterations, and also for creating content quickly and easily. For an illustration of bigger and more complex projects, they might be less adequate and more difficult to execute seamlessly.

VEED is a very simple and effective platform to create podcast videos and short video clips for social media marketing and educational purposes. If you only have audio files that you want to share on social media, you can transform these audio files into video files that can be shared on social media. You can embed the caption into the video and insert a progress bar which makes the video produced high quality and very user-friendly to consume. We use VEED to give a taster to our clients and we build a library of snackable videos.

• Does not always save work even when displaying it does

• Overall, in my opinion, just not a pro product, not useful for professional post production
• In my opinion, not at all worth the $38 per month minimum plan required to be able to download subtitle .srt files

I originally chose Veed over Descript for its easy interface. However, I am switching back to Descript because in my opinion the product is less glitchy and comes with better support and features.

• Ever since we switched from using only actual demo videos to adding animated explainers, our conversion rates have increased significantly.
• Our productivity when creating presentations and materials for client engagement has more than tripled since we started using Animaker. We can go from storyboard to final output in 3 days or less. Previously, each output took at least 2 weeks to complete.
• Creating projects in Animaker is just way more fun. Team members no longer dread having to work on a new concept. And our outputs are a lot more engaging.
