Zendesk Sell (formerly Base CRM) is a CRM that aims to give reps access to integrated tools that provide the full context of a customer account. This keeps them in the loop and allows them to capitalize on opportunities. Zendesk Sell can be extended with Reach, a lead generation and engagement tool that automates the process of finding and keeping leads interested, so reps can focus more on building relationships and crushing their quotas.
Base CRM was founded in 2009, and acquired by Zendesk…

Apollo.io has all features of prospecting, outreach automation including email sequences, campaign tracking, lead scoring, and analytics in one interface which enables sales persons to manage their entire sales funnel without having any other extra tool. Another benefit is for …
In Outreach, when a Sequence ends, a pop-up automatically appears prompting you to add the person to the next Sequence. Apollo.io doesn’t have this feature. Outreach also allows you to run Sequences directly from the Extension, and the workflow is person-centric. For example, …
In terms of everything Apollo.io was very user friendly and was more accurate. The data received was on point and we did get more contact and email data from Apollo.io rather than Linkedin. The value for money was way better than the platforms we tried.
So we have evaluated Seamless AI, Enrich AI, and Snov.io before finally deciding to settle for Apollo. These platforms have better UI and some, like Snov, have good email sending capability, but they all lag when it comes to their database; they do not match up to Apollo. …
Apollo is my favorite in terms of the quality for emails and phone . and i have been using so many other tools which unable to gave me that kind of data.
The main other product I've used is Hubspot but I used that as more of a CRM and where I wasn't focused on prospecting, generating leads, sequences, etc with it even though I know that is a possibility. So I can't necessarily compare the two given I used them for separate tasks
Apollo.io has a mid tier dialer that I was looking to replace. Ultimately, I never replaced Apollo.io's dialer because it was really nice to just have one single tool that everything worked through, and never had to transfer data or call logs between platforms.
Apollo.io stacks up against other interfaces because of its overall all in one prospecting tool capabilities right from account identification to end to end reachout to leads no other prospecting tool provides such wide range of features for a bd reachout. It's a …
Apollo.io is much faster in gathering data that I'm searching for and it's pretty simple to control. I can also save searches, lists, and export the data at whichever capacity I desire. Also, I like the new features that involve AI, Buying Intent, and LinkedIn data scraping. …
The contact management system is better and the association between contacts and deals is a big improvement. Tracking emails in addition to notes is an improvement.
We moved away from the platform above because integrations and reporting through Zendesk Sell (formerly Base CRM) are far better. Zendesk Sell (formerly Base CRM) is definitely a more modern approach to our ever-changing company. We needed a system that provided accurate and …
Simpler than most CRMs, which can be good if your sales team is not very tech savvy. We switched to Hubspot which provides a lot more value than Base did, but it isn't right for everyone. Hubspot is focused on capturing in-bound leads and has its own flaws and limitations, but …
Zendesk Sell is not as robust as other leading CRM tools I have used in the past like Salesforce. Salesforce is the market leader and is always leading the way in innovation. Salesforce objects management is better simpler and allows the user to customize different screens and …

It does everything salesforce was doing only easier and the mobile app was much better and cheaper. I have been able to both run a sales team and do the sysadmin and setup work on base as a sales manager.
Let's face it, there's a lot of competition in the market of CRM systems. From Salesforce, Hubspot, and Zoho, which offer other modules that integrate other elements of the business into the CRM, to options like Sharpspring, CampaignerCRM, and SugarCRM that integrates marketing …
Base CRM is great for beginners, or small sales forces. API/integrations need help. As a CRM it works just fine, but could use some improvement, and backing. A lot of Base CRM users are great help, but there needs to be a more robust back end to help your customers implement …
The automatic email feature is extremely helpful for quickly contacting more potential clients. It is user-friendly and easy to access all buttons, which helps you navigate the task efficiently. It could greatly help to acquire more clients for a project to be successful. I cannot see anything less appropriate for me to achieve the goal I am aiming for.
I think that for a company that creates any sales and needs to house their client information, the Base is perfect. The price of the program makes it completely worth the investment. And to be able to use customizations makes it possible for any business that does sales use Base for their orders. I would say for companies that use legal contracts or binding contracts for their business, Base may be too simple for their needs. We work in tandem with a company that always has contracts going back and forth, and the build out of the customizations here weren't really going to work for them.
Integrates well with FullContact, Slack via Zapier, and Gmail and google calendar.
Excellent mobile app for iPhone lets salespeople have data at their fingertips and enter notes at conferences, in elevators, wherever.
Does all the basic things a salesperson needs to be productive, contacts capture, deal capture, documents, smart linking of contacts to deals, and nice reminder features.
Apollo.io has an amazing amount of features. It's great being able to complete so many tasks in one space but it's also overwhelming. It took me a few days to work through all of the options when searching for a company or person. After a few days it started to provide companies for me which was confusing before I understood what was happening. At first, I was also confused about what a "sequence" was so maybe some of the jargon can be confusing. I think with time I will become more comfortable once I understand all of the options offered.
I received about two hours worth of training on Zendesk Sell (formerly Base CRM). I will say it's a clean look and the ability to change views is extremely helpful. I do wish there were other features that allowed the views to be more simplistic. Some views can be overwhelming to look at. Nevertheless with the minimum training, I am still able to navigate through Zendesk Sell (formerly Base CRM) successfully due to the ease of usability.
The team wants to solve probelms, but we are finding that they don't know how to solve the more technical issues quickly. I suspect that they don't have a mature process for escalations, and they don't have a usable knowledge base article repository. They seems to push emails around to let us know that people are working on the issues to find solutions, but this takes weeks and oftentimes still leaves us without a resolution.
Due to the ease of the product, I have not had the chance to reach out to support yet. I’ve had no reason. The resources provided to clients are extremely helpful and detailed. So far my questions have been pretty basic and I generally just ask my colleague or teammate. They're able to assist with the answer.
This product has a great backing of users, but needs more options direct from Base CRM on all operations of the software. YouTube videos do a great job of helping implement, and the back end support is a great help as well. The CRM is a great free option, and should be treated as such.
Apollo.io has all features of prospecting, outreach automation including email sequences, campaign tracking, lead scoring, and analytics in one interface which enables sales persons to manage their entire sales funnel without having any other extra tool. Another benefit is for pricing related which has been understand from our management team.
Zendesk Sell is not as robust as other leading CRM tools I have used in the past like Salesforce. Salesforce is the market leader and is always leading the way in innovation. Salesforce objects management is better simpler and allows the user to customize different screens and have different dashboards for reporting reasons. This is definitely a good alternative to Salesforce especially if you are currently using any other Zendesk products like Zendesk support.
Increased # of booked meetings from outbound email outreach.
Our sales team's productivity has improved when prospecting/doing outreach (which has a monetary value, given our salaried status). This makes us more productive, enabling us to accomplish more and reach a greater number of people in a day.
We've only recently implemented this, so we're still waiting to close, but leads are on their way to doing so.
