Chose Applied TAM
I've used applied tam and EPIC. I believe EPIC is the NEW TAM? I love both products. I think Epic is a little bit more user-friendly and less clicking. TAM wanted to make an "activity" for everything-where Epic I feel like the choice is yours, which really frees up some …
HawkSoft is good for personal lines, but it can be very tedious to enter all information for each policy. QQCatalyst is better suited for Commercial lines than HawkSoft. As of the date of this review.
When I started looking at management systems I first looked at AMS360 since it's the Cadillac of management systems. However, it's a hefty upfront investment and the monthly is steep for a start-up agency. At that time EZlynx just had their rater platform however when they came …
A new thing we love about TAM is the opportunity section. You can create an opportunity for your producer when you get a prospect -and it really keeps track of the progress and also his book of business. This is one area that works well for my department. I love the search/filter as well. This program is SO user-friendly. It's a great tool all around no matter which department you are in.
I used NowCerts and also HawkSoft. QQCatalyst is just easier to navigate, process changes, send certificates of insurance and just get policy information. HawkSoft is a good system but their niche is personal lines. I can create Premium Finance Companies and MGA's with QQCatalyst and NowCerts, not with HawkSoft. QQCatalyst and NowCerts are 100% cloud based. If you have a lot of personal lines clients, then QQCatalyst is not a good option. QQCatalyst needs to update the Acord 25 form in their system so we can actually use all the spaces provided by the Acord company; right now we cant enter information for insurance company "F" anywhere using QQCatalyst.
After I attach something there is always a pop up telling me that "doc" has been attached. It pops up at the bottom of my screen and I constantly have to "x" out of it. It's not too big of a deal-just an inconvenience.

When I started looking at management systems I first looked at AMS360 since it's the Cadillac of management systems. However, it's a hefty upfront investment and the monthly is steep for a start-up agency. At that time EZlynx just had their rater platform however when they came out with the management platform a year or so later we strongly considered making the switch. EZlynx is an excellent management system but given the price to transfer data from one platform to the other we decided not to proceed. Lastly HawkSoft has gone through quite a few changes over the year and though they've really beefed up the backend I'm still not a fan of the user interface. All three systems are excellent options, really boils down to preference and affordability which is why we went with QQCatalyst as it fit the bill across the board.
