Trainual is a modern training manual for growing businesses. It provides one simple tool that aims to help users centralize processes and policies, automate onboarding and training, and build a foundation to scale faster. The vendor says Trainual is designed for small to medium sized businesses that are growing quickly and eager to document systems and processes, define step-by-step workflows, eliminate grey area between roles, and ensure that training happens consistently, every…
Looked at our current software provider's timekeeping application, prior to purchasing ExakTime. Ease of use and time capture is what sold me on ExakTime.
This is the first product like this that we've used. We've been using ExakTime for several years now, and I can't imagine going back to manual entry! I also wouldn't think there's any comparable product on the market that allows as much customization or would be as user …
before the ExakTime mobile app everything was done via email or hard copy papers. This app was the first one that company attempted to implement and went off without a hitch. The app was so easy to use there was no need to search the market for another time tracking software.
Although Asana works well for offices that focus primarily on office management, it would not be a user-friendly tool for those who are on job sites and traveling to different locations on a daily basis.
They were my third choice because they would work with QB. Love the reminder to clock in and out that woould be usefull. Open the Time Clock window in the app.Select a job or task, Select Clock In, Select Clock Out when you’re done for the day. I did not like the layout.
NEOGOV and GOSKILLS offers relevant preloaded courses that are of interest to our employees. The reporting ability is also more user friendly and the appearance of both platforms is better.
I used a software called Kronos, but it was actually for clocking in a warehouse where everyone is stationary. ExakTime is better suited for my particular field because we have multiple locations. I have also used ADP, but I prefer ExakTime because it is bundled with all the …
Busy Busy did not track equipment hours. ExakTime tracks them, but the reporting is challenging when trying to combine labor hours and equipment hours in the same report.
Acoro is really great and stacks well in the industry. There really isn't any other ATS system out there that works with contractors and other different industries which makes it tailored really well into the field. It centralizes around different scopes that employees and …
ExakTime provides a great solution to timekeeping especially with the mobile app. The conference calls we had prior to purchase were constructive and very informative. ExakTime's sales team was more than willing to answer our questions. Our biggest concern was how were we …
No comparison as it relates to many differences. You’re not able to create a portal or generate different classes to make the training fun like trainual it has been a lot easier for our team members to get caught up on any new products and other software that we used has not …
Previously we created SOP's in Google Drive that we used for employee training but they were cumbersome to navigate through and were also in danger of getting deleted. They were plain Word documents and were not interesting to read. Trainual is SO much easier for new employees …
Previously we just wrote task items in shared Google documents. It was the best of what we could do at the time, but this is a whole different world, and we love it! Being able to integrate quizzes and photos and interactive video …
For my industry, ExakTime is incredible. The geo fencing, and clock-in locations and job types works incredibly well. I am likely to recommend because I have and I do recommend it constantly to others in my industry. I would say the only reason more people are not trying is it, is because they are of an older generation and using a virtual program can be daunting.
Trainual is well suited for new hires. They can be introduced to our processes and products before testing and trying themselves. Trainual provides for a less jarring experience for anyone new to our team. Every time someone new starts it is imperative that they complete all the training modules within Trainual before doing some of the work themselves. It definitely allows for a smoother transition to the team and work life
The layout for all subjects is very overwhelming, and I'd love to be able to sort into folders or buckets.
I'd also like to be able to see all steps within ALL subjects in one area and be able to reorganize those with a simple drag and drop, instead of having to copy and paste text to move from one subject to another.
I don't have any major problems with Exaktime so I do not see a reason to switch to something else. All the bugs and learning curves have been worked out so move to another company will take too much time of which we do not have. I have become an Exaktime expert and don't trust another software that guarantees geofencing timekeeping.
ExakTime is very intuitive and easy to use in some cases. From an ExakTime Mobile perspective, it is very simple and easy to use. The Clock In/Clock Out screen is intuitive and easy to learn. Similarly, the ExakTime Connect side is very smooth and simple for Time Card Detail viewing and Report usage, but it is sadly lacking in User Experience in Scheduling.
I have had problems outside of normal business hours and I get a return phone call from them pretty quickly. There has only been I think 1 instance that I waited for too long to be able to fix my situation.
During the entire sales process, the Trainual team was great to work with. After the sale, their onboard process was top notch as well and was very quick to answer any questions and actually were open to customizing the platform to meet our specific needs. They have been great this entire time.
Gave a notice to all employees to come to work 15 min early on the day planned to implement the program. I had Spanish and English signs on how to down load the program and log in I showed them ALL how to log in and out and explained that they are responsible for reporting accurate time. I had them all sign a policy that lunch breaks were mandatory for all employees at least 30 min per day. This ensures safety on the roofs. We had a few people who did not have passwords to the app store and we had a few problems with android phones but most of them were on their way quickly. Most not happy about the change but I hope they see the benefit of it now.
This is the first product like this that we've used. We've been using ExakTime for several years now, and I can't imagine going back to manual entry! I also wouldn't think there's any comparable product on the market that allows as much customization or would be as user friendly as ExakTime

Improved payroll accuracy and employee time breakdown by type of work, greatly reducing the manual data tracking and time spent by employees on such tracking. More time for actual work!
Employees can interact via field notes while on the job, providing revisions to data entered if appropriate. Improves administrator efficiency as well.
Reports significantly improve time tracking, positively effecting job costing recordkeeping and evaluation.
Trainual has very positively help us in on-boarding new employees! Everyone is provided the same information about company structure, mission, vision, etc.
Trainual has helped us solidify and keep consistent with our training of new employees. We are able to train people faster and they seem to be retaining the information better!
