Chose Axiom Software by Syntellis Performance Solutions
When we shopped for Axiom, there really wasn't any comparable product on the marketplace that we could find. It has a full suite of products (including some we don't use like capital management, profitability, productivity, and benchmarking), and everything was in "one place." …
Chose Axiom Software by Syntellis Performance Solutions
Axiom was selected based on the impression of ease of use and integration. It is capable of holding all of our entities data while giving us an easier more accessible way to deliver monthly Financials and reports to managers. Then in costing we signed up because the impression …
Chose Axiom Software by Syntellis Performance Solutions
The only other system I have worked with was the Fiserv MPC product, which is what we had Axiom replace. The Fiserv MPC product does not even come close to the functionality of Axiom. For our Budget, we would have to run an Excel Macro in Fiserv MPC overnight which took about …
Chose Axiom Software by Syntellis Performance Solutions
Vena was a strong product, but only our department within the University used it for budgeting. The entire university chose Axiom for the increased scale and capacity. The loading and saving performance of Axiom is slightly better than Vena. Also, Axiom provides more …
Before using Wdesk, tie-outs were completed via an Excel table. This provided a good format for financials and linking, but the actual text and paragraph style areas of the financials being prepared are better suited to Word than Excel. Wdesk combines the best of both tools, …
This software comes in handy where the organization's strength is greater than 1000 employees. Quality of support is almost equivalent to others as far as I know so that won't be an issue. Ease of use hasn't been a big obstacle. Also, it meets the usual requirements when it …
I liked Merrill Bridge and Wdesk. I'd be happy with either one, as both have a user interface that's simple for seasoned users of the Microsoft suite of products. We use Wdesk because there's a large network of Wdesk users in this community, there are lots of training resources …
We moved from a third party filer to doing it in house. Have seen demos of products like Active Disclosure, which has come a long way from the beta version I saw and but we are not too far gone with Wdesk for us to evaluate other products.
Merrill. Just so much easier to file, so much time saved. But formatting new documents can be a real pain and is something Merrill would do for you (at a cost of course).
Axiom is ideal for organizations with multiple departments that need to collect, share, and integrate data from common internal data sources. The product is best for very large organizations with a lot of financial backing. I wouldn't suggest using Axiom if you're a small organization or only one department, for example.
Wdesk is best suited for companies with demanding SEC filings and documents, with multiple revisions due to auditor/counsel review, and where financial reporting is extremely manual. Wdesk really helps take out the potential errors out of extremely manual processes, and helps automate regular financial reporting by allowing companies to link financial information and build customized flows of their information into financial statements and other documents (such as presentations or other internal reporting).
Extremely flexible and dynamic allowing for customizations that align with our business needs
The database structure within Axiom allows us to create custom tables for adhoc data analysis
The processing time of Axiom (daily imports, monthly imports, Budgeting processes) are extremely favorable allowing us to cut our budget cycle time in half compared to our previous system.
Overall it's a good-to-go product because of its features. It's easy to set up, meets requirements, has quality support, etc. So far, it has been working quite well for me, and I wish to continue using it for as long as it meets my requirements.
For the scale of our implementation, Axiom only assigned two consultants who were both completely new to the company. It felt like we were all learning about the product together, when you would expect them to already be experts at their own product. The team also made a good bit of mistakes throughout production and go-live, which then caused more work internally for us. The team lead for our project also just left the company, so we'll see how next year's planning goes
I have not had to deal with the Support Team, but overall our experience with the tool has been positive. They try to set new customers up for success from the start (I was part of the sales process, not the actual onboarding) and seemed to know that it’s a difficult transition, but worth it in the long run.
The only other system I have worked with was the Fiserv MPC product, which is what we had Axiom replace. The Fiserv MPC product does not even come close to the functionality of Axiom. For our Budget, we would have to run an Excel Macro in Fiserv MPC overnight which took about 8 hours to process in order for us to to see the results of the inputs we did the previous day. With Axiom, the non-margin items (Non-Interest Expense, Non-Interest Income) are real time - as soon as you click Save, the data is available. On the Cash Flow Margin side (Loans & Deposits), it takes about 5 minutes to fully process in Axiom approx. 30,000 records, which is extremely favorable.
I liked Merrill Bridge and Wdesk. I'd be happy with either one, as both have a user interface that's simple for seasoned users of the Microsoft suite of products. We use Wdesk because there's a large network of Wdesk users in this community, there are lots of training resources available online and in-person, and all of the departments in the company like the program.
