Considered Both Products
BoldSign, by Syncfusion®
Chose BoldSign, by Syncfusion®
BoldSign is much less expensive than DocuSign with very similar features.
Chose BoldSign, by Syncfusion®
I'm not aware of any other products by Syncfusion.
Chose BoldSign, by Syncfusion®
They all have similar features, but BoldSign stands out for its simplicity and ease of use. Adobe has a business model where they are sending you ads while you are using the system and the truth is that it tends to be a bit annoying and distracting at times. I didn't like the …

Boldsign is less expensive and easier to implement with its easy to use interface
Chose BoldSign, by Syncfusion®
The price-performance ratio is better with BoldSign. If I want to scale up to the next level and then go back, I can do it easily with BoldSign, unlike Adobe, for example. If you want to try another application, that's fine. They all do the same thing. In my experience, the …

Customsing documents for signature with DocuSign is a nightmare.
DocuSign customer service is terrible, as bad as Microsoft...
Chose BoldSign, by Syncfusion®
Our company uses BoldSign over its competitors because of its ease of use and functionality for the manner in which we employ it. We can quickly upload documents that need execution and get them circulated to all parties immediately to do so. This saves us tremendous amounts of …
Chose BoldSign, by Syncfusion®
It met all my needs at no cost. We only needed a basic service. BoldSign more than met our needs and did so securely and efficiently.
Chose BoldSign, by Syncfusion®
Much easier to work with and support is much better. In my experience, Docusign is just not an easy company to deal with. And, in my experience, whenever we tried to add a particular feature in our integration, Docusign would force us to upgrade to some higher level. I found …
Chose BoldSign, by Syncfusion®
These competitors provide mediocre and feature-bloated offerings that are simply a pain to use. For example, building templates in the aforementioned tools is like pulling teeth. The editor is finicky. BoldSign, by contrast is simple and generally intuitive, thereby making it …
Chose BoldSign, by Syncfusion®
It's more intuitive for using.
Chose BoldSign, by Syncfusion®
Pricing is great and the functionality is the same. I have not really used Docusign or Panda Doc that much so I can not really do a great comparison.
Chose BoldSign, by Syncfusion®
BoldSign keeps digital signing simple and easy. DocuSign is bloated and incredibly expensive and too complex for signing documents required by a small business like mine.
Chose BoldSign, by Syncfusion®
I think it is just as easy to use, but it is a lot more cost-effective. I also like BoldSign, by Syncfusion® has my company logo.

Chose OneSpan Sign
Both products had similar functions, but I found that OneSpan Sign just had the edge when it came to use ability and user experience. It is very clear how to use the system and it integrates very well into our business. Are use it on a regular basis, and even though I’ve tried …

OneSpan was more affordable than DocuSign.
Chose OneSpan Sign
we realized some insurance companies are using OneSpan and also our admin office uses the same program. Therefore, it is more friendly in terms of everyone knowing software.
Chose OneSpan Sign
OneSpan Sign had better audit history capability and better pricing.
Chose OneSpan Sign
My experience with OneSpan in the customer service has been very positive. However, since my experience with OneSpan is much more recent, most of my technical experience with OneSpan includes technical areas that were not available in other products at the time I was working …
Chose OneSpan Sign
All other evaluated tools allowed for changes within the document after the first signature. Within OneSpan this action kicked off a completely new signing process. This along with the security compliance was our main factor for approval.
Chose OneSpan Sign
Docusign wanted $1500/mo for access to the equivalent feature set of creating links to standard forms.
Chose OneSpan Sign
I haven't used a competitor nor would I as esignlive meets our needs.
Chose OneSpan Sign
eSignLive has made it easy to send and receive documents. No other program has been as user friendly as it is!
Chose OneSpan Sign
We are being introduced to similar products; I'm loyal, but any improvement with the unlocking of documents, and yearly subscription cost would make me more loyal!
Chose OneSpan Sign
DocuSign was probably one of the alternatives but to be honest we just did not evaluate alternatives at all. We were simply happy to integrate easily with an approved (by our financial institution) eSign product. We just moved from the POC to a "That's a go" decision given the …
Chose OneSpan Sign
I didn't research alternatives since I was approached directly.
Chose OneSpan Sign
I was told that the other services may have a better API but for our needs, the cheaper the better and eSign Live's prices could not be beat. I believe that DocuSign's similar product was roughly four times as much as what we are currently spending on eSign Live.
Chose OneSpan Sign
Our primary market is the enterprise. We reviewed other tools at the outset but these are small to medium scale tools trying to move into the enterprise, mostly with public cloud only offerings. We needed a platform with a proven record in the enterprise with options like …
Chose OneSpan Sign
DocuSign has a reminder function if the paperwork is not complete. You just click Remind and it sends the person a reminder to complete.
Chose OneSpan Sign
We've used a few other programs for sponsorships, and looked into using them for scholarships but the cost was in the thousands to create an additional form. eSignLive was much more cost-effective for our department as our organization was already using it for other forms (I …
Chose OneSpan Sign
It all comes down to workflow and UX. e-SignLive is the superior choice when it comes to these factors. The product lays out the signing process in an easy-to-follow format that is easy to understand both from the client side and the customer side. As a SaaS user, security was …
Chose OneSpan Sign
We were also considering Docusign but with the similarity of product and functional offering, it boiled down to price and possibly a better support system.
Chose OneSpan Sign
e-SignLive provided us with more cost control options around implementing and using the service than competitors. e-SignLive seems to offer stronger legal and audit attention to details around electronic signature processing.

BoldSign is perfect for the small business or startup that needs a legally-binding solution to digitally sign contracts/agreements between 2 parties or more. It's no frills and super easy to use, and requires no training to understand how to use. BoldSign is less appropriate for organisations that require complex integrations and automation capabilities for their digital signature solution.

It is well suited for financial professional field. At the moment, i cannot think of area that will be less appropriate. It all comes down to if the admin office or head office can accept OneSpan as authorized software. Often enough, program can be very good but not recognized by head office due to its compliance issue. For example, in the Canadian regulatory rules for investments, sometimes it requires companies to process/store documents in the same country. If there is a cross border issue, it will be a big compliance issue.

Cons
  • It would be great if BoldSign saved my signature in my account to use each time
  • It might be easier if you could select signature (or any heading for that matter) and click where you want it instead of dragging it to where you want it.
  • It would be nice if completed document’s automatically saved to a selected folder for safe keeping.

  • Search capabilities can be improved by a great extent. We still can't search documents by name of the signatory
  • Pricing seems a bit high when compared with other players in the market
  • Data importing and exporting capabilities can be improved drastically

Great product. Great price. Free for up to 25 signatures for one persons account. Having a group using it under one account is even a great price. Much cheaper than all the alternatives out there and does the same stuff the others do

I don't see any reasons to change as their solution covers all my need for now. I could make even more integrations but that might be something that I will do down the road. I'm used to working with the interface and my data is all there as well.

Usability
Very straight forward to use and customers understand the service. No questions or need for me to explain. The free tier is amazing and has locked me in as a customer for when we're big enough to need the paid version.

The product is so well designed and built that we rarely need to reach out to customer service. But we have reached out to them in case of downtime, and we have always gotten a satisfactory response. We never had to follow up, as customer service executives were very responsible.

Return on Investment
  • So far I have only used the free version
  • I am sure that the paid version would be extremely beneficial if you did a bunch of contracts. I just started using the program, so not too many contracts yet. If I need to upgrade my subscription, the price will be well worth it.

  • It has done what we got it for. It has made it much easier for our advisers to do business with clients in remote areas.
  • It has significantly reduced the time that it used to take to open a new account.
