GoToMeeting is less expensive but does not provide access to a database of users or a good platform to showcase recorded webinars in a channel. BrightTalk is created more as a marketing and content hub so is better for marketing activities.

Online Events Marketing
Comparison of Online Events Marketing features of Product A and Product B
We've found the suggested training to be pretty spot on, and the speakers have been good so far. The pacing is usually good to slightly fast. Most professionals don't have time to take a couple of hours a week on training or learning about new products, so we've also found the length of the meetings to be very good. The suggested classes/webinars have been good so far-- too many companies ask you to fill out a questionnaire about what you use or what you're interested in and then pigeonhole in those couple of suggestions forever. So far, we have not seen that with BrightTALK.
PowerPoint integration was a key element in our implementation of OmNovia. In short, "old school" mentalities could easily integrate with a "new age" presentation platform. Specifically, the feature was highly-compatible with different file types, sizes, and formats. More so than similar platforms I've used in the past.
Additionally, a lot of our end-users were without comprehensive media equipment or in low-bandwith environments, so the Audio Chat was a great way for folks to participate with their laptop microphones.
The support materials, video, and direct customer service was integral in our adoption of the platform and, in turn, with the dissemination of it's use through the department and affiliate offices, agencies, and organizations. I refer to the omNovia website and the available YouTube videos that provide those who desire a more complex and intricate virtual experience the know-how to do it.
The user interface can be a bit tricky at times, as you have to dig down to find certain information. However, it is a robust interface and the information is there.
Some features, like adding questions or resources, have cut-off windows, so you cannot make last-minute additions or changes.
The bridge occasionally drops speakers, and this can be disconcerting to presenters. However, it does not happen too often.
I am not at the level to make the decision nor am I at the company still. Although, I do suggest omNovia to current and future companies I work for as a tool that works, can solve business problems, and I am familiar with.
BrightTalk has an excellent usability and is intuitive with its design. The registration of events is secure, and the connectivity to webinars is seamless

I selected BrightTalk because it seems more secure and provides an ease of use when utilizing it for registration and webinar purposes.
Having an assortment of licenses at my disposal with different web platform products was key given the clients included embassies, consulates, universities, etc. all over the world in different bandwidth environments, with different media equipment available, etc. omNovia performed well for the users with moderate to high bandwidth and higher quality equipment. Low-bandwith users did use the audio chat function but preferred less intense platforms that allowed for video. Other products: Watchitoo, Adobe Connect, Google Hangout, WebEx, GoTo Meeting.
in person networking since OmNovia allows for live events to be streamed. Without this ability we would only have regular webinars and would miss out on the networking opportunity.
