Considered Both Products
CallFire
Chose CallFire
EZ Texting... it's fine but more expensive. They do the same thing.
Chose CallFire
We also use CallRail in our agency but find that most of our needs are met by CallFire for less money.
Chose CallFire
Previously we used Vitelity, but its tracking capabilities are more limited.
Chose CallFire
We considered Trello before deciding on CallFire. Trello is a good service that seems to do much of what CallFire does, however we wanted to avoid the labor-hours necessary to get Trello up to speed, as it is very technically involved. We didn't want to hire any additional …
Chose CallFire
CallFire has a pricing structure that is attractive to us as a small business. The "pay as you use" options helps us keep our overhead low, especially with so many softwares already in our tech stack. It's a tremendous value for the cost!
Chose CallFire
I have not personally used any similar products.
Chose CallFire
CallFire has adapted and changed internally ever since I [have] used it. It is has become, quicker, cleaner and much easier to use. I haven't used any other systems, however I thoroughly enjoy the efficiency and ease to build custom campaigns in minutes. I highly recommend …
Chose CallFire
I haven't used any other products, but I am so pleased with CallFire that I will continue using this program.
EZ Texting
Chose EZ Texting
It's easier to send with EZ Text vs manually sending.
Chose EZ Texting
The onboarding process for ez texting is more straightforward and less cumbersome than other texting options. Ez texting lets you know what documentation is needed, typical response times, what party you are waiting on (the phone carriers, for example), that you have to provide …
Chose EZ Texting
Hatch is very good, and integrates with a lot of CRM's, but it's relatively expensive and a heavier lift to get started.
Chose EZ Texting
Attentive Strengths: Highly focused on SMS marketing for e-commerce, Advanced automation and segmentation capabilities, Deep integrations with Shopify and other e-commerce platforms, and Excellent use of two-way conversational messaging.

Weaknesses: More expensive than EZ …
Chose EZ Texting
We chose EZ Texting over enterprise solutions because of it's ease of set up, ease of use, and low barrier to entry. We had discussions with other companies, and it seemed very complicated and would require a lot of set up on our end. We don't have a dedicated IT or marketing …
Chose EZ Texting
EZ Texting is leaps and bounds ahead of Constant Contact. It’s a pain to use and costs way to much for the credits you get
Chose EZ Texting
I'm more familiar with EZ Texting than Simple Texting. Also, I think the pricing was a little more favorable
Chose EZ Texting
I think Constant Contact was Terrible. Cumbersome. Terrible compliance department. It never worked for me.
Chose EZ Texting
the price, and the online support really separates you guys from everyone else, in the industry.
Chose EZ Texting
It wouldn't list but Textsignal, it was very hard to use couldn't upload contacts nor delete people along the way. No preview of message sending before hand.
Chose EZ Texting
EZ Texting was much easier to use and better rates.
Chose EZ Texting
We have only ever used EZ Texting and have no reason to look anywhere else.
Chose EZ Texting
The API, web and mobile functionality are far beyond what RingCentral has to offer. We are very happy after the switch, especially with the automations we have configured using the API
Chose EZ Texting
I have not used others. I tried EZ texting first and never had any reason to go elsewhere.
Chose EZ Texting
EZ Texting has a much better user interface and better support. At first I wanted to "pay as you go" so switched from EZ Texting to BulkSMS. BIG MISTAKE. After 2 hours of banging my head against the wall, I went straight back to EZ Texting and paid the little extra monthly and …
Chose EZ Texting
I don't recall; we've been using EZ text for quite a while now.
Chose EZ Texting
EZ had all the features of other companies, but better pricing!

Simple Texting
Chose EZ Texting
I did use another service similar. But the fact this on is on the palm of my hands and it’s called EZ as my business is called EZ Tronics gives me an excellent marketing that’s goes with our name! Also just easy to use this one !

If you need to find a test candidate for your client quickly, this is one of the best ways. Pull yourself a hot list of a couple hundred potential candidates and load them in to CallFire. Then get ready to hit about 50-60 calls per hour. You should have a great test candidate for your client in about 24 hours! It's amazing how quickly you can show your clients the true speed of your company.

It is great to reach people who have given you their phone numbers. You can connect with leads and customers, strengthening rapport and staying in touch with them. They work well with Facebook ads through the Zapier connection, allowing you to follow up with prospects. However, if a business cannot access its leads' phone numbers, the tool will not be of much use. I know of a senior care company that was in business for years but relied strongly on email marketing. They did not ask for their leads' phone numbers and, therefore, did not find EZ Texting useful. That is expected from a company that does not ask prospects for their phone numbers.

Pros
  • CallFire has amazing organization as far as categories and campaigns and all aspects go.
  • It is very easy to use and understand! Very user friendly.
  • Customer service and help is awesome! There have been some times when I have needed assistance and they were always so quick to reply.

  • Easy to use web interface.
  • The ability to set up our main business phone to receive texts is fantastic.
  • There are an abundance of features we haven't even explored yet but look forward to doing so!
  • The mobile app is great alternative when a desktop or laptop isn't available.

Cons
  • The services are easy to use and robust, but there is room for improvement. Unfortunately, not much has changed over the last 2 years of use. There haven't been any new features or innovations in that time.
  • API integration and automation is not easy for most folks to jump into and there is very little technical support or documentation to take advantage of such features.
  • The standard reports are generally sufficient, but there isn't any customization or intelligence available.

  • Drafts don't save well, seemed like I kept having to redo the same text because a draft wouldn't save.
  • I want to be able to click and update users quickly, but there were too many steps to add/remove people from lists.
  • The app didn't work if I used google SSO - i couldn't ever get signed in.

We're excited about EZ Texting and what it does for us. We want to get more into automation with campaigns dealing directly with web sales so a more robust solution will likely leave EZ Texting as our event activation partner and only be used during select times of the year.

Usability

I think it is straightforward to use. UX is always challenging, and the platform does an excellent job of making it easy enough to use. However, it's not 100% intuitive and takes just a bit of figuring out, so I gave it an 8 / 10. It's easy enough as is, but of course, it could always be better.

EZ Texting "gets it"! When I have had something I needed customer service to help me with, they returned my emails and calls promptly. I have a smaller business and they came through as if I was a huge corporate entity. They really care about all sizes of customers!

allow plenty of time for integration - time is definitely a factor. We had to wait about a week before the product was completely usable. Customer support was very helpful. though. Very much worth the wait, I think. Allow plenty of time for integration. Lots and lots of time needed.

We considered Trello before deciding on CallFire. Trello is a good service that seems to do much of what CallFire does, however we wanted to avoid the labor-hours necessary to get Trello up to speed, as it is very technically involved. We didn't want to hire any additional developers just to get Trello set up and maintained. With CallFire, it was very intuitive and easy to setup quickly.

We have never considered or looked into any other system. We were very much just trying to fix a gap in our internal system as quickly and easily as possible. EZ Text was one of the first options that came up. We did a free trial, and it seemed easy (EZ) enough to use and fair in price, so we moved forward.

Return on Investment
  • I sent out a broadcast message pretty deep in our data base, well three years out. I had one customer come in and buy thanking me for contacting her.
  • Our holiday season was up 35% over last year, this year we used CallFire more than we did in the past.

  • Customers, as well as potential customers, do not seem to have any issue, providing their phone numbers for text messages as opposed to receiving countless emails.
  • Upselling items has improved considerably due to our ability to notify customers of new products and specials that we are offering in the store.
