If you're a new entrepreneur and getting into the online world, Capterra is a wonderful resource to help you get started with investing in tech and software, which every online entrepreneur needs and which can often times seem overwhelming. I used it to help me get off the ground when it came time to invest in software and I appreciate a service like this

RubyGems is a great packaging library primarily because of its verbose logging information and easy to navigate system architecture. We've dealt with artifactory systems in the past for Java and JavaScript, and RubyGems just makes it a lot easier to handle the packaging and deployment of our reusable libraries. We've noticed in the past that there are times where (if all 200+ teams) are releasing at a similar time that publishing the gems can lag, but that's fairly rare.

• They list the cost of the product in the review, and that is something we all want to know up front.
• You can find comparisons. Maybe the product you want is out of your price range, well they show you the next best thing.
• Some products also highlight a list of features.

Its a simple and easy to use tool, you can get set-up and your product published very quickly - its also copies this information to its other review sites. If you have a SaaS product, it should be on your list to sort your Capterra listing out.

RubyGems has strong community support and finding issues to errors is as simple as searching for the error message you're receiving (but usually the error is clear enough without having to bother with that). Honestly, the framework is simple enough that support isn't needed much, but it has been helpful to us in the past when we have needed it.

I would say they are neck and neck very similar. Both have the same great features, and verified users, and both are free to use. When you look for honest software reviews in any search engine, both companies are the first names to appear. That way you can compare reviews on both sites.

RubyGems is easier to use and to troubleshoot issues overall. Sometimes when troubleshooting in other systems errors are masked and it takes a trained eye or a lot of time searching through Google trying to find out what it really means. RubyGems is very verbose and allows for quick troubleshooting of any deployment problems.
