Chose CATS ATS
I spent 4 months doing research on all available hosted and on-premise solutions and the CATS score outweighed all the other available solutions.
TargetRecruit - CATS is way more user friendly than TargetRecruit. You have to have a degree in Computer Programming to use TargetRecruit. CATS is very streamlined, clean and easy to implement.
Zoho Recruit - with the exception of the resume parser, CATS is an infant learning …
The implementation relative to anything else I've seen that is as customizable and powerful as CATS is first reason. The cost is a huge factor as well - at $99/month for a user license, it's much less expensive than similarly featured products and immensely better than ones …

Chose CATS ATS
Many systems seem to have the same options. The customization and flexibility was key, as well as the cost factor and no contract requirement.

Chose CATS ATS
Zoho Recruit was clunky and not easy to use. It also wasn't made for an agency like oursleves.

Chose CATS ATS
Customization and cost. A lot of the products are really overkill for a one person shop that is strictly recruiting - no need of HR functionality. I had very specific ways I wanted to be able to customize / track certain things. CATS was the only product that could accomplish …
We used to use Sendouts (prior to it being acquired by Bullhorn) - and it wasn't browser based like CATS so instead of being able to access it from a home computer, laptop, mobile phone, etc. you could only use it on the computer with the software uploaded - which is a …
People Matter was not as user friendly as the simplicity of CATS software. They also don't have enough options for specific questions and search filters for writing reports. Our time to screen candidates to hire would have increase about 80%.
Same features for a fraction of the cost. More intuitive.

Chose Frontline Recruiting & Hiring
We use Paylocity as our HRIS system and they offer an applitrack/recruiting function. However, we were using Frontline Recruiting & Hiring platform prior to Paylocity. We new Paylocity did not have the universal application process and Frontline Recruiting. We also used in …
Our HR department went with [Frontline Recruiting & Hiring] w/o investigating other solutions. It was an easy choice since we were already working with Frontline for Substitute Management & Educational Training. Still would have been nice to see what other options were …
I truly think Frontline Recruiting & Hiring is one of the higher up and more useful websites to manage all your hiring needs. It allows for simplified, and fast-tracked hiring processes and helps increase efficiency. I also think that although the design and layout is not …
I don't know how appropriate it'd be for large organizations with very large recruiting teams - cost per license might not make sense after a certain point. For small/medium sized businesses, it's absolutely worth a look. It's very affordable, super-easy to use, highly configurable, and set up is an breeze. Knowledge base is decent, and support is generally OK, though it's not necessarily a strength. The product team is engaged with the user community to crowdsource suggestions for updates/improvements and allows users to vote on others ideas that are appealing. Search functionality is solid and documents are instantly indexed as far as I can tell - I've never noticed any delay. It'll push postings out to various free job boards and you can customize to push out to pay boards as well. It will integrate to certain HRIS packages, so if that's of interest, making sure yours is on the supported list would be important. Data backup is super easy and would likely make changing to another ATS down the road pretty simple if the need arises.
Frontline Recruiting & Hiring is well suited for the educational industry. Time is valuable and requiring candidates to apply at each employer of choice takes time and can be a bit frustrating. Many schools in Delaware and Pennsylvania use Frontline Recruiting & Hiring. An employer who uses Frontline Recruiting & Hiring makes it easier on the application process because the applicant only has to complete the application once. All you have to do is create one login and password, then they're able to use the same application to apply to any multiple different employers, as long as they use Frontline Recruiting & Hiring. I love this feature.
Custom fields for all entities of any data type let's you track what you care about. Also customizable workflow with triggers can save a ton of time in automating processes and also ensuring steps aren't missed/established processes and protocols are adhered to.
Support is extremely responsive, knowledgeable and committed to resolving any issue.
Integrations with LinkedIn, job boards etc. is a big time saver and helps bring it all to one place.
Our company has been using it and enjoying the benefits for a few years now. Its a perfect system for our end goal of finding the best candidate effectively and being able to track and write reports on our progress.
While any and all platforms have room to grow and evolve. Frontline Recruiting & Hiring overall meets my expectations. There is still some room to grow in its functionality but they have a clear purpose for this platform, which they meet. As I mentioned previously, generationally applicants do not want to complete a lengthy application process. Frontline Recruiting & Hiring eliminates this when other employers use the same platform.
I've had mixed results with asking for support. Sometimes they gave a quick answer and sometimes my emails were never responded to. Some responses were a single word.
They are very helpful if necessary, but honestly, a lot of the page is easily managed on your own. This means that you do not have to spend a long time working with customer support, because you don't need it! The simplified process helps cut down on issues and makes it easily accessible and useful to any and all
This is an incredibly easy system to implement. There is no hardware or software required, it's entirely SaaS based. Compared to other systems I've implemented, it's breathtaking. Customization can all be done directly in the tool, there is no need for any involvement of consultants and most of the information you cannot figure out intuitively is covered in the knowledge base
TargetRecruit - CATS is way more user friendly than TargetRecruit. You have to have a degree in Computer Programming to use TargetRecruit. CATS is very streamlined, clean and easy to implement. Zoho Recruit - with the exception of the resume parser, CATS is an infant learning to crawl and Zoho Recruit competes in triathlons. For $70 per month per user, you can build a recruiting universe. Top Echelon - turns out they purchased CATS. We tested them, but it was not as user friendly. JobAdder - loved this product. Customizable like CATS, but the API for JobAdder gives many, many option. However, JobAdder only uses Zapier and all the addons will nickel and dime you to death. A $100 license with JobAdder becomes a $250 per month per user really quick.
Our HR department went with [Frontline Recruiting & Hiring] w/o investigating other solutions. It was an easy choice since we were already working with Frontline for Substitute Management & Educational Training. Still would have been nice to see what other options were available.
We went from Excel spreadsheets to using CATS so honestly anything would be an improvement. But CATS has saved tremendous time on an on-going basis in terms of managing the career portal automatically.
Being able to log email conversations with the click of a button from Outlook right into CATS has been a time-saver and also has helped numerous times in providing better follow-through to candidates and providing better tracking of candidate interactions and what they have previously said (or not).
