Cayuse (SmartGrant) has been in place at our institution for a while and we wouldn’t examine using anything else because it has been easy to work with, access, and stay organized with. Cayuse (SmartGrant) is also used for our office of research and is separate from our …
Fluxx is not only more intuitive than CyberGrants, its interface is also smoother and easier. Fluxx allows proposers to enter and attach proposal information in a more appealing platform than in CyberGrants. Fluxx also retains more historic data than CyberGrants.
Active Network is the platform we use for program signups for all of our youth programs, as well as scholarship applications and management of past and present program participants. It's a great program for managing lots of information, although they do take a relatively large …

Again, I am always hesitant with this type of question. We selected grant maker because it offered the best fit for our organization's working style and culture. There is also a personal level …
I searched for a product to organize the steps of grantwriting, but every option I found was too expensive for me to present to my non-profit. I liked the features of Smart Simple, but the price was too high. Grantmaker is free but has the options of an expensive grant software.
Cayuse (SmartGrant) is well suited for institutions who have multiple grants and projects that need to be organized, tracked, and followed up with. The closing and sorting of projects is also helpful when using this software. Multiple signers also have access to approvals electronically which makes the process more simplified and accessible for all parties involved.
Grantmaker is well suited for managing grant-making processes and records. It's not a very good tool for CRM. We are currently working with an outside vendor to design a module that will integrate with Grantmaker to help with CRM.
Highly configurable for different use cases and easy to customize.
Instant insight into different job functions can be provided through the unique, customized filtered cards and dashboards for each user.
Frequent updates of new features that add more value to the product over time and create more efficiencies for staff and grantees.
Collaborative user base that is eager and willing to share best practices with lots of support from the vendor.
Friendly staff that is genuinely interested in the funding and nonprofit sectors and how they can make it easier for us to have the community impact we are all trying to achieve.
I would love to see either email or text notifications added to the platforms to remind of upcoming deadlines and tasks.
Sometimes the data that is pulled into the visuals is not accurate and is a bit glitchy.
Adding a real time commenting capability, like Slack, would help the team to stay in contact. This is especially important for remote grantwriters, like me.
I have an assigned rep who is very responsive and is able to answer any questions. Other than that, the technical support has been terrible. I often don't waste time documenting bugs because I know they likely won't get fixed or even followed-up on. Instead, I search for workarounds.

Cayuse (SmartGrant) is also used for our office of research and is separate from our development software to keep everyone organized.
