But the options for getting content onto screen are usually a cheap but ineffective USB stick plugged into a TV running a loop of JPEGs OR an expensive enterprise software solution that can cost the…

Well, definitely Chrome Sign Builder has most of the features, like adding up documents filing, access on YouTube, and making accessible links for meetings. Which you can definitely customize for privacy, and can be access by many viewers or users.
I haven't used any other software that's comparable to Chrome Sign Builder. Overall I think that Chrome Sign Builder is pretty useful since it's free to use and made by a reputable company (Google). With plenty of updates and maintenance I haven't had to look for alternatives …

Adobe Advertising Cloud is far more robust than Chrome Sign Builder but it comes at a very significant cost. Yes, you can do more with some of the competitors out there, but we have found this to be the most cost-effective for companies who want to run more than one screen …

Pricing is the most significant difference between Chrome Sign Builder and these products. You can expect to pay a huge amount more for any other commercial product, but they come with more features and are targeted for bigger deployments. However, we found that with Chrome …

If you are looking for an inexpensive, set-and-forget digital signage solution and your content isn't customized often, Chome Sign Builder is a win. It is easy to set up, includes multiple identity providers, and its Kiosk mode makes displaying the content a breeze on many different supported devices. It also doesn't require much maintenance, so if your team is small, it's a perfect fit.
It is best when we have to work with multiple screens. It will provide the best features to display that entire content in a single place that will quickly access and roll up that content, making our work easier and more productive. I really loved using this tool and make some productive work.
Use Chrome Sign Builder to display menus. For example, to show menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, create 3 schedules. Each schedule has its own menu URL to display the menu content.
create a presentation using Google Slides and display it using Chrome Sign Builder.
When you publish the presentation, set it to start as soon as it loads and restart again after the last slide.
Chrome Sign Builder is pretty much a learn on your own and support yourself option. There is precious little by way of assistance offered by Google for the product, and responses to reports of bugs and even updates are painfully slow in coming if they come at all. If you are an IT guru, this may be ok. If you are not prepared to fend for yourself, then keep looking.
We selected sign builder because of its ability to work across platforms and the promise of dynamic updates so that members and guests would have access to up-to-date information. Unfortunately, Chrome Sign Builder is a low priority at Google, suffers from reliability issues, requires significant user investment in learning the system, and failed to meet our needs. We have gone back to paper calendars and synching issues while we evaluate other products. A bit of time spent on research on the front end would have saved us considerable effort and time. In a volunteer organization, our only cost was goodwill among members while we tried the system.
Any company, regardless of size, will find this app useful for signage. The app offers a lot of management and device monitoring features, and the customer service is outstanding. The map function is perfect for companies with multiple locations and app integrations are easy to use. A simple interface, the ability to deliver ads in a unique way, and the ability to work with preexisting hardware are some of the reasons why I like it.
