SolarWinds professional support is included to help customers on active maintenance 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
A few years ago, GoDaddy started charging us to be their DNS provider, and Cloudflare didn't charge, so we moved to Cloudflare. Also, Cloudflare was known for security protection, for example DDOS protection, and we haven't had any issues since moving to Cloudflare.
Cloudflare is on another level compared to any other CDN provider out there. One of the reasons is that encompasses all the tools into one big products instead of relying on many different products from many companies - DNS, CDN, WAF are all managed in one place and connected …
Cloudflare was better, because we do not have to host or purchase any additional hardware. This means reduced costs for us to have to buy the hardware. Then, hire people to run the hardwar, and support the hardware. And, it also means you need SME's for the tool that have used …
Cloudflare's product offering is more mature and has demonstrated success in preventing some of the largest DDoS attacks observed. Cloudflare also continues to reinvest in their core product offering to ensure they maintain a position as leader in the cybersecurity space.
Cloudflare knows what they're doing when Load Balancing and Redundancy meet the cloud. AWS is a partner, and we're exploring other solutions which are performing at the highest level.
Peak season is upon us, and we cannot suffer downtime. DDoS Protection is another interesting …
Amazon CloudFront is a highly scalable CDN service integrated with AWS. Couldflare provides us more other functions and services than Amazon CloudFront. Google Cloud CDN offers fast and reliable content delivery with integration into Google Cloud services. But we didn't deploy …
Cloudflare addresses Pipefy a well-defined cache system with several features to improve the performance of the applications. This is the main focus + excellent reliability and stability.
Overall we are using Cloudflare as well as AWS cloud across various domains in our organization. To some extent such as DNS management on Route53, CloudFront takes advantage of Cloudflare as it provides a straightforward UI for DNS management. But when it comes to traffic …
Better than other software in the same field as per price time to implement easy to learn and use, good simple easy to understand user interface and very few false positives plus our compliance with cyber insurance is right on the money we no longer have to jump extra hopes to …
ZScaler Private Access and Cloudflare Access are very similar product sets that trade blows when it comes to features and capabilities. In my experience Cloudflare unified dashboard and distributed infrastructure has the upper hand when compared to ZScaler.
Cloudflare has lower starting cost for backend Workers and good pricing model with steps. Auto-scaling by default better than microservice/docker or EC2. Security makes simpler.
The interface to manage and review IP addresses is easy to use and has low complexity. Any user can navigate the tool without issues. I highly recommend this product for a simple interface.
BT Diamond IP required the company remote to make changes we constantly had to message
support which in my opinion was not worth it. All research said SolarWinds IP Address Manager was the best by a wide margin. We had no issues with SolarWinds IP Address Manager, and we got a …
Solarwinds is an extension of those tools which allows us to benefit from a single management tool. It compliments other tools in the Solarwinds suite of tools. We are quite happy with the integration Solarwinds provides with these tools.
SolarWinds IP Address Manager was cheaper than both alternatives and far easier to manage. Device42 interface is years behind what Solarwinds offers. It is very outdated; BT Diamond required remote management and we constantly had to message support, it reached a point where …
My company used SolarWinds and WhatsUp. SolarWinds was always considered our defacto leader for monitoring and alerting. I have yet to come across another product that is as robust, consistent, or competent as Solarwinds. As they say, you get what you pay for. If you're willing …
We are much comfortable in using SolarWinds over other IP Management tools such as Evolve IP or Efficient IP, since SolarWinds IPAM is not just good in IP Management, Dashboard, DNS and DHCP management as Automation, but the fact is we use other SolarWinds modules such as NPM, …
We actually tested the other one after the fact near the end of support license for SolarWinds. SolarWinds won because the other product could not match the things SolarWinds IP address Manager could do.
Bringing in IPAM rather than WhatsUp let[s] us keep all of our monitoring in one tool, rather than have 2 or 3 additional tools that we need to switch between.
We checked Windows IPAM which seems well suited for smaller networks. Other products didn't cut it based on cost - this also integrates with the rest of our SolarWinds estate.
The integration with the other SolarWinds products makes for a single pane of glass for management of your systems, which reduces administrative overhead compared with other solutions.
I hate to admit this, but I honestly did not even consider another solution after we evaluated IPAM. We had already been using DameWare for many years, so I knew that SolarWinds support was outstanding. Pulling the trigger on this purchase was not difficult.
SolarWinds is easier to configure than every other tool I have used including Infoblox. If you already use SolarWinds for monitoring IPAM, it can be bolted on and set up in minutes. Alerts are pre-configured and there are existing "canned" reports. I have yet to meet an IT user …
We particularly utilize Solarwinds Network Performance Manager (NPM) and Solarwinds Network Configuration Manager (NCM), so adding the IPAM module was pretty easy and a fast process to have all of the monitoring modules in a single server and single management plane. The …
BlueCat has a better and more accurate discovery process where Solarwinds IPAM is more suitable for a larger network environment. Both are great tools.
Cloudflare works well as security measure that gives peace of mind without needing to work too hard to get it functioning well. It provides great tools to customize the security experience as well. This is all the same for the caching tools as well. They have a lot of built in tools that make using the caching easy right out of the box, but they provide the customization options to get things just right for your site.
If you already have SolarWinds Products, there's no other product that I have seen on the market that incorporates all network management and IPAM tools so seamlessly. No longer having to have several consoles open to manage DHCP, DNS, and Subnets saves so much time and makes the whole process much more manageable.
Registrar and DNS services are impeccable, with registrations done at cost and without ADs. DNS services setting standards for speed of resolution.
DDOS protection. With their content distribution network to back them they have the bandwidth and tools to be both proactive and reactive to bad actors.
WAF - Their Web Application Firewall helps mitigate common site vulnerabilities and has active zero-day protection running for breaking exploits
With IPAM automated address scanning, we can be confident that we are looking at an up-to-date, accurate snapshot of our network.
The built-in alerts are a great safety net. We know that even if we aren't paying close attention to our IP address space, IPAM is. If a range is nearly full, IPAM lets us know before it becomes a real problem.
IPAM's event logging gives us insight into any and all changes made by our network engineers.
In some cases, using Cloudflare can actually lead to slower website speeds if the network is congested or if the website's traffic is particularly heavy.
Some website owners may find that the level of customization offered by Cloudflare is limited, especially in comparison to other solutions.
While Cloudflare is easy to set up and manage, it may be too complex for users who are not familiar with web technologies.
The user experience is not as intuitive as other products. We have to be more restrictive around level 1 help desk access compared to NCM or NPM in SolarWinds.
Making and enforcing changes, not just monitoring, has been hit or miss in some instances.
We are heavily invested in SolarWinds. We currently own Network Performance Monitor, Netflow Traffic Analyzer, User Device Tracker, Server Application Monitor and Network Configuration Manager. We have NOC mode setup for deskside support for monitoring any down devices that may effect our network across the globe. This application gives us the information we need when we need it.
Everything is extremely concise and all settings apply immediately and take effect globally. There is no reason to explicitly plan/think in terms of individual regions as one would have to traditional cloud offerings (AWS, OCI, Azure). All Cloudflare products integrate seamless as part of a single pipeline that executes from request to response.
Bring the interface into a more user friendly space.
Allow the user the ability to move root folders into other root folders. There are times when sites need to be combined into a new group and having to delete then re-add them is a huge pain. Make the popup screen for putting in information double the size so that you get everything in one window view rather than having to scroll.
We do not integrate IPAM into other systems other than the standard Orion integration. The performance is reasonable, however, we are running all the SolarWinds applications on a very large server.
I have only used their support a few times, and most times, they are responsive and able to resolve my issue with a minimal amount of time and effort. However, there was one instance where I simply asked about how to purchase some more resources (redirect rules), and I received some type of automated/AI response that was very unhelpful and gave me no opportunity to escalate to a person.
I have not contacted customer support and therefore have no experience in this area. I know we have some issues with our VAR support at this time for Orion, but I don't know if the IPAM falls into the same support structure. Perhaps others in the organization may know more regarding the support area.
Nothing like it. Organizations can utilize these Cloudflare products to enhance their online presence by improving security, performance, reliability, and developer efficiency. Cloudflare is an American company that delivers services such as DNS, a content delivery network (CDN), and various other additional services to make websites faster and more secure. Cloudflare is used by over 26 million sites, resulting in the processing of more than 1 billion IP addresses each day.
BT Diamond IP required the company remote to make changes we constantly had to message support which in my opinion was not worth it. All research said SolarWinds IP Address Manager was the best by a wide margin. We had no issues with SolarWinds IP Address Manager, and we got a great price so after evaluating SolarWinds IP Address Manager we did not look at any more alternatives
We have not experienced any scalability issues with this product. However, SolarWinds needs to allow users to scale horizontally without any license restrictions. For example, we would like to separate Netflow and Orion onto different platforms but are unable to due to license restrictions.
We have seen reduced usage and downtimes after using Cloudflare for Caching. This has already yielded ROI as minimal downtime ensures consistent user traffic and increases revenue.
It can handle significant traffic spikes and shields the website from DDOS attacks. We have prevented a number of DDOS attacks after using Cloudflare and hence we are already seeing an ROI by using it.
Some of the integrations with Cloudflare are really painful and we have faced a lot of issues because of not having native integrations to certain 3rd party apps.
