We switched from SiteGround to Cloudways because we outgrew SiteGround. They were not as flexible, lacked the scalability that we needed, and their stability was causing downtime and loss of revenue. When we switched to Cloudways, their support team not only helped us …
Whilst all the top hosting companies have good customer service. Hostinger is the winner here for me. Siteground has fast servers, but fees increase significantly in year two.
VPS and dedicated hosting are costly, Therefore cloud hosting provides a cheaper way to own a powerful server, and IP is dedicated as well. Cloudways was the decision because:
1) Easy to set up without any linux commands we can set up the server
I've used some of the major hosting providers including GoDaddy, Bluehost, and Siteground but none of them have been as easy to maintain and deploy as Cloudways. The Cloudways interface is easy on the eyes. Tools are easier to find compared to the other hosting provider's …
I liked Cloudways more than other websites due to its simplicity and how clear their website was (and still is). It is the first server hosting platform I ever used.
I selected them 10 years ago so decided it must be easier to stick with them. Boy was I wrong. I think Cloudways blows them out of the water. Don't use InMotion Hosting or be warned. You get what you pay for. In my opinion, their support is lacking and they just want to bill …
inMotion shared hosting has not been as reliable as HostGator due to the aforementioned I/O limitations. inMotion VPS hosting is much more affordable than HostGator. I've found inMotion customer support to be much more reliable and responsive than HostGator at every level. …
InMotion is great if you're looking for a quick dedicated hosting solution for your needs. It's great in terms of having fixed costs for your hosting needs. However it hits a ceiling once you grow past a certain point. That's where solutions like AWS and Azure are much better …
As part of my search for a solid re-seller friendly hosting company, I also seriously considered Siteground. Inmotion Hosting provided a better pricing model, so I went with Inmotion. In the following years, I came across Cloud Access through Joomla's launch program. Their …
Cloudways has been a great fit for our organization and has allowed us to host as many sites as we need and scale those websites. We have a paid service plan and their team of support agents is the best that I have ever worked with. They have helped us through numerous scenarios over the years and are always there 24/7/365. From simple questions to the most complex hat we could come up with they are always willing to roll up their sleeves and see issues through to completion.
For VPS hosting, they're the only host I use or would recommend. They have a budget friendly approach and the resources advertised are accurate. I was disappointed (and unfortunately surprised) to see the I/O limitations of 1MB/s imposed on their shared reseller hosting. It's not advertised but really does cripple shared reseller hosting as nearly any activity on the site immediately starts affecting performance.
They are constantly improving their dashboards and interface to make it easier to use and find the things that we use the most. It's a lot of features to pack in to one UI and they have done a great job of making it user friendly. Their layout is intuitive and easy to learn and is extremely granular. We are able to control every aspect of our websites and applications from an individual level from scaling, to cache, to DNS, security, WAF, and everything in between.
Technical support is just 2-3 clicks away and the Cloudways homepage and the operators are available almost 24/7. They also are able to answer any kind of question related to their services, whether economical or technical. I sometimes made mistakes while using their services and they have been keen to help me, and fixed my problems really fast.
Their team was always responsive, helpful and eager to support us whenever we needed their help. Additionally, they followed up each time they supported us to see if the applied fixes to our problems satisfactorily resolved our issues. In all, their support was top notch.
VPS and dedicated hosting are costly, Therefore cloud hosting provides a cheaper way to own a powerful server, and IP is dedicated as well. Cloudways was the decision because:

2) Live chat for technical help. (Excellent agents, they helped out of the scope issues too)
As part of my search for a solid re-seller friendly hosting company, I also seriously considered Siteground. Inmotion Hosting provided a better pricing model, so I went with Inmotion. In the following years, I came across Cloud Access through Joomla's launch program. Their website management tool was awesome, and I recommend individual Joomla users check them out if they want to launch with this awesome CMS. I've yet to experience their customer service, so I'm not sure how it fares.
