TCO was the one of the major factors in our decision, Commvault did have it over the other products in there dashboard and the feature set, we have used Commvault Cloud in the past for other backup products and never had any issues. Both Veeam and Acronis have pros and cons …

Many other backup and recovery platforms have their strengths and weaknesses. They might specialize in backing up VMs but fail to adequately backup Oracle databases, or do well in the cloud, but not so well on-premise. In my opinion, Commvault handles the variety of clients and …

Not all the backup tools have the ability to backup directly to Cloud (Blobs, S3, etc.).
It can be a little controversial, but when dealing with 900TB of user data to be backed up you don't have much options.

Commvault has a single console to manage all platforms such as backup and replication. It's a good backup window for servers and different platforms.

Veeam is not suited for large environment and has lot of issues when setup in large environment. It also has difficulty processing large-size data as it takes long time to merge the data with blocks required when it needs to expire the data. This is not a problem in Commvault.

Hands down, CommVault exceeds the functionality of all products that we've evaluated. Few products bring together the comprehensive feature set that CommVault brings to our environment.

We selected Veeam as we did not need the large enterprise features that many of the other products provided. These features all came with a price tag to match and they were in excess of our requirements for a backup product. Veeam allowed us to gain the benefits of backup and …
