Conversica
Chose Conversica
One major advantage that Conversica has over the others is that we are able to send the first outreach from Conversica, instead of our own marketing email IP address.
Chose Conversica
We didn't evaluate anything else like Conversica because it seemed to be the only AI of its kind out there. We have been using other solutions like email marketing software and drip campaigns, however, nothing has the capabilities that Conversica has. Out of our efforts, …
Chose Conversica
Conversica allowed us to be more versatile and it was a lot more customizable than intercom. Intercom was limited in many ways where it did not allow us to make certain customizations or get the level of reporting that we needed. Conversica solved all this and the AI was a …
Chose Conversica
Conversica outdoes the competition when it comes to auto drip campaigns - while two of the above products are mainly used for mass emailing, both Sendinblue and Velocify have automatic feature suites that simply do not have the customization and ease of use that makes …
Chose Conversica
Conversica was the first AI/Automated messaging service we have implemented.
Chose Conversica
We looked at automating our first response to inbound leads using automated emails from a Salesloft cadence. It works for the first email but then you're relying on your sales reps to pick it up from there. Conversica has that tenacity and persistency to keep on going until the …
Chose Conversica
As a company, none of which I am aware.
Chose Conversica
Usage of tool and adaption to our needs and established company that has proven it before.
Chose Conversica
I have not used any other or evaluated any other tools - Conversica came as a recommendation from an internal team member.
Chose Conversica
We did not specifically look for alternatives with the same capability. While we have looked at other AI tools, they were in slightly different areas.
Chose Conversica
N/A - we didn't look at other similar solutions.
Chose Conversica
Conversica was more cost-effective than Drift.
Chose Conversica
I haven't looked into many other conversational ai products - we received a solid recommendation about using this and have been happy with the process and experience. Price was also pretty good, so we didn't feel a need to shop around on that front. If things change I'll do …
Chose Conversica
Have not really used anything that actually does what Conversica does. Marketo and Pardot are similar only the fact that they automate email streams. But they don't use an AI to respond in a human-like way. Drift is similar only the fact that it uses an AI to respond, but it …
Chose Conversica
We haven’t looked at much but we considered Salesforce as a possible tool to help with keeping track of our leads. Wouldn’t have done what Conversica does for us though.
Chose Conversica
We evaluated SalesboxAI at the same time we were evaluating Conversica. We had a great experience with both and also talked with other people that were using Conversica in the process. We thought that Conversica had more time in service, as an AI was a real factor in …
Chose Conversica
Conversica is really in a category of its own. There isn’t anything like it on the market. We wanted a technology that would help us automate follow up in a strategic and thoughtful way and that we could trust to engage and follow up wisely. We found this in Conversica. It’s …
Chose Conversica
Again, I wasn't involved in this process, so I can not accurately rate how Conversica stacks up. I do know that when we first had Conversica it was AVA and coming up with our own script for each email campaign took quite a while and not as effective. I do like that Conversica …
Chose Conversica
Our company is currently moving towards AI, so Conversica suited our goal.
Chose Conversica
We haven't used anything else or looked at any other tools. This works for us now, but I'm hoping improvements come in customization.

Chose Outreach
I would say it's pretty comparable. I think Outreach is probably more robust and customizable.
Chose Outreach
Outreach is vastly superior to other sales engagement platforms, because it's easy to use and effective to track engagement

Chose Outreach
Outreach is like SF is for CRM, absolutely the leading software to use. Wouldn't change it for another option even if they made me pay for it.
Chose Outreach
Outreach is a great tool, but it may not be the most effective one. It is very cost-effective, but teams can easily outgrow outreach. Outreach is more sophisticated than Salesloft. However, Apollo is far more refined and more in-depth from a functionality standpoint. I would …

Outreach is more detailed and gives you mroe abilility to drill down than Apollo. Apollo may be better for fidning outbound data source but it falls short in other areas and overall is a lesser tool in my opinion. Outreach also is more visual with showing responses and …

Chose Outreach
I like Outreach because it seems to be the most efficient and easiest to use.
Chose Outreach
I find Outreach more robust and I can do more within the platform. However, I do think Salesloft was easier to manage. When I say this, I mean that getting tasks done quickly and managing the sequences + prospects within them was more flexible (less errors and ease of use / …

Conversica and Outreach both provide businesses with marketing and lead generation tools to ensure that potential leads are captured instead of slipping through the cracks. Conversica is marketed as an AI virtual sales assistant, meaning that it provides businesses with a chatbot to capture data on website users and direct them to business users. Outreach is a sales engagement platform that helps businesses optimize their interactions with potential buyers by automating email campaigns and integrating with CRM platforms. Both tools are popular with mid-sized businesses.

Features

Conversica and Outreach both provide some sales engagement features, such as email automation, but they both have some features that set them apart from each other.

Conversica offers some marketing features, but its primary focus is on its chatbot automation. Businesses can set up Conversica chatbots to answer simple questions for users or direct them to sales material. Outside of chatbot features, Conversica can automatically reach out to potential leads that don’t meet a business’s metrics for them to be reached out to by your sales team. In this way, businesses use Conversica to reach out to leads that are unlikely to convert in large numbers to ensure no buyers are missed.

Outreach is focused on automating sales processes such as automatic phone and email campaigns. Business can connect Outreach to CRM software to send personalized emails to specific users, while also providing analytics on the email campaign while it is ongoing. Outreach allows businesses to send out mass amounts of sales content quickly and without taking time out of the sales team’s day.

Limitations

Though Conversica and Outreach both include robust sales automation features, they each have some limitations that are important to consider.

Conversica offers chatbot and email automation features, but outside of the chatbot, its sales automation features aren’t as robust as those offered by sales engagement platforms. Businesses can’t use Conversica for dialing campaigns, and though it can send automated emails, it doesn’t provide detailed analytics for mass email campaigns. Businesses looking for a software to handle email and calling campaigns may prefer other options to Conversica.

Outreach provides detailed analytics features for email and call marketing campaigns, but it doesn’t provide a chatbot out of the box. Businesses can take advantage of Outreach’s integrations with popular chatbot options, such as Drift, but it can’t manage chatbot features on its own.

Pricing

Conversica and Outreach are both priced depending on what features are needed by the buyer. Businesses interested in either one can get a quote for whatever set of features they need.

Conversica is a good platform for us when used post event. It takes the Inside sales work out of following up on cold or potentially non-responsive leads and still allows us to create touchpoints with the leads. It has also worked fairly well as a follow up for media downloads on our site to gain additional interest or segmentation variables.

Outreach is well-suited for organizations that want to send bulk sales prospecting emails and need a platform that can enhance domain and email deliverability. It is less suitable for organizations that don't use email prospecting or have fewer than 500 customers or prospects.

  • Easy interface for sales reps to find, engage and convert leads who respond to the AI.
  • Granular and customizable reporting tools built-in help us identify ROI and areas for improvement, and are easy to speak up to Executive level reporting.

Cons
  • We would love more options for conversation types. Our organization has so many different things that we offer, we sometimes don't find how what we are trying to offer would fit into a current conversation.
  • We would like to be able to customize the text on the templates a bit more so it was more relevant to our readers.
  • We would love for Conversica to remember conversations from each individual so that if they are engaged again in a future conversation it will already have a profile for that individual which will help to create a more personal touch and could assist with replying to certain requests themselves verse assigning a sales person to reply.

  • When sequencing, I need to mark multiple leads, and using the search bar, it will uncheck all the leads that were previously checked.
  • Calls drop constantly.
  • Syncing contacts and leads with SF is challenging. The buttons to synchronize with CRM are available when searching for a contact or lead, but you cannot sync it when viewing the lead or contact itself.

Tool is extremely powerful but comes with a heavy price tag. As long as we close more than 30 deals with year with Conversica's assistance it will be an easy choice to renew. If we don't we will have to figure out if these funds are best spent in other lead generation places.

Based simply on cost savings, it would make the most sense for us to utilize Salesforce Sales Engagement moving forward. We already pay for access as part of our contract and it would provide more users with access to a sales automation tool. Upon vetting its capabilities, we've determined it can effectively replicate the core functionality that we get out of Outreach.

Usability
Standalone, it's very easy to use. It becomes a little more complicated when you're working with it as an integration in Salesforce.

Being in a role that required me to do a lot of prospecting, I spent more time in Outreach than any other platform. It had everything within that I needed to be successful in my role. It was extremely customizable and easy to learn. There were occasional bugs, but nothing that kept me from doing my job.

Reliability and Availability

For the most part Outreach is always available. There are sometimes when they do a new update, and things might get glitchy for a couple of days. They usually fix it very quickly. Same thing if the dialer goes out or something. It is always handled in a timely manner.

Performance

Outreach's performance overall is very high quality. Pages load right away. Occasionally it might take a minute to generate a report, but not any slower than in other platforms I've used. Outreach is integrated into many of our other tools and seems to be a very clean integration. Everything runs very quickly.

Support Rating
Our CSM is great and always willing to help us try new ideas. She's always aware of what's happening on our account and will point out anything abnormal. She's also constantly looking at ensuring that we're making the most of everything that Conversica has to offer. Even though they're out of my time zone, they accommodate it meaning that I don't have to work out of hours to get support.

There is almost zero customer support. What they do offer is a live chat feature which is active during "normal" business hours which is nice for instant inquiries if someone is available. However, you do not have a dedicated representative to address questions or concerns and their billing process is confusing and messy without any support.

We were trained in person and it was very easy to understand. And if we missed any pointers there was more training given to us. So i always like this tool. The drafts were also prepared for us to sync outreach with our devices so it was straightforward. Highly recommend

Lots of attention from the Outreach training team, with a great willingness to customize to our needs. To be clear, you get out what you put in. If you don't work with them, you'll get cookie-cutter training. But we asked for a lot of customization, and they delivered what we asked for.

It takes a minute to get set up, but once you're good it doesn't take a ton of effort. I'd say we took 4-6 weeks to get lists built, people trained, things installed and the rest of the setup. Not the easiest thing, but far from the hardest software that I've ever installed that sits in Salesforce.

I expected more assistance in connecting Outreach with Salesforce. We have a basic connection, but many fields were left without a sync. We can apparently sync data without adding the app into Salesforce, but believe we could get more functionality with a better integration. The basics of setting up our sequences and using Outreac to run them was was fine.

They're not direct competitors, but they share many of the same functionalities. Gong has a greater focus on spoken communications, such as calls and demos, rather than emails. I think Gong also has stronger AI capabilities at the moment. However, I don't believe so, Gong would be ideal for prospecting and mass outreach, as Outreach is. Outreach is more suitable for exploration and outbound communications management, whereas Gong is better suited for deal and pipeline management and analysis.

It has flexible permissions which allows to designate certain non-admins to build out sequences or add or remove people, which allows one main admin to handle the more technical end, while allowing team leads to build out sequences for other team members, allowing everyone to play to their relative strengths, while not allowing for chaos if everyone had full permissions

Return on Investment
  • Increases the productivity of sales because they are spending their time working other leads.
  • Increase productivitiy of marketing because instead of running leads/customers through various marketing nurture campaigns etc, you can allow Conversica to do some of that work.
  • Increases the chances of surfacing opportunities in various low-level leads, lost opportunities and converting them to potential sales.

  • Increase in meetings booked
  • Increase in call metrics as it is easy to make more calls using Outreach features. Basically cutting down admin work time before the call.
  • Prospect journey and experience has been a positive flowing through a set amount of emails and calls rather than just being blasted with random emails. Helps BDRS stay focused on more important parts of the job.
