Chose D&B Finance Analytics
I would prefer Nexis Diligence + as it is more accurate as far as providing newer results for various points, such as company zoom calls with update financials and regulatory agency filings. Furthermore, I found the UI for Nexis Diligence + and the entire Nexis suit to be for …
We chose to stay with D&B rather than go with a competitor because the reports we get from D&B are comprehensive, customizable, and in-depth. Other companies offer similar options, but D&B is typically more accurate and up-to-date. From the administrative side, D&B is easy to …
This isn't precisely the software we used, but this is closest of the options presented. We used Experian almost exclusively for small firms not fully represented under D&B, in particular Canadian firms which Experian had a more robust reporting regimen. Customers in Canada …
Our organization uses CBC Innovis Credit Reporting to assist in underwriting loans, leases, and grants through its personal credit reports, RiskView, and ID cross checks on business principals. No other products or services have been reviewed or considered recently as a …
D&B has the most robust trade payment data of any product that we considered. For us, it was between D&B and Creditsafe. D&B not only provided most complete trade payment data, the product was easier to use and had better functionality compared to Creditsafe.
D&B Finance Analytics stacks up against them because I find this software easier to understand and to work with. It is important to sometimes have a software that is self-explanatory. It is so easy to analyze a customer and gain knowledge of their financial habits without …
I have to say that in terms of what we use D&B Finance Analytics for, I have not tried to find another company because it works perfectly for what we need. If there's research that we need to do on a company that's broader than let's say their payment records, we have other …
We do not use any other programs that I'm aware of, all other methods of verifying for us are based on public information and conversations we have with businesses, their references and banking institutions. I think this speaks for itself as we haven't seen the need to use any …
Our team in Canada uses Equifax instead. However we find that they're often asking us to pull data and reporting from D&B instead. D&B's Finance Analytics data is more detailed, easier to use, and can quickly be saved & shared. This makes is easy and FAST for our business to …
Each solution offers similar data in separate segments. The depth or breadth of the data pool differs, but based on the reliability of D&B Finance Analytics multiple solutions could be used for a lower cost.
We started with BlackLine and after a year and limited adoption across the accounting team, changed to FloQast. We had numerous reasons, including difficulty in working with the BlackLine standard reconciliation, time needed to complete the set up for automatic reconciliation …
Having FloQast automatically pulls updates from excel files saved in our shared folders is key instead of having to upload new files as we've done in the past with other comparable products
At the time we picked FloQast, they were the most cost effective and easiest tool to use. Fast forward a little bit, and Numeric has come to market. I really lie Numeric to be honest and feel that their pricing is better and for that lower pricing, they include more …
The User Interface and implementation were the key drivers for choosing FQ compared to BL. Our team was up in a matter of days or so it felt! Even if you didn't get properly trained in FQ, you could easily figure it out on your own, which was nice, especially for a large team.
We found that FloQast fit well into our existing close process and made it much more efficient. Other rooms, such as Blackline, required a longer and more costly implementation. It also required the use of their reconciliation formats. We did not see the value in that …
I used Blackline many years ago but found it to be a waste of time. I didn't like being required to use the Blackline format for reconciliations. The one size fits all mentality never quite works out when it comes to accounting - every business does things a little differently. …
Netgain has a product called NetClose which we've considered but ultimately went with FloQast because of simplicity and ease of use. The other product was more technical and hands on.
FloQast has a strong brand, offers excellent customer service, has a strong core product, and continues to improve and provide additional value to its customers.
We evaluated BlackLine along with FloQast and ultimately decided to sign up with FloQast. Our team really liked the ability to leverage their existing Excel reconciliation templates that could link to the FloQast user interface. Comparatively, the pre-made reconciliation …
We evaluated Blackline when we were considering Floqast. Although Blackline is very robust and feature rich it was not right for us at the time of our review. We chose Floqast because: 1. It was simple to set up. We were up in running in a few weeks as compared to the 6 month …
We selected FloQast because of how flexible it was and how easily it incorporated our existing excel workpapers into the system. It was also able to accommodate our ERP, despite not having a native integration for it.
I have experience using Asana and Jira in previous jobs and while they are both useful, neither are tailored to accounting. That is where I feel that FloQast truly shines - there are so many features that other project management softwares are lacking, and after using FloQast …
NetClose (from NetGain) is pretty similar and is also a great tool. For a single company that uses NetSuite, NetClose can be a great option, however FloQast has more features like ReMind and aurorecs that NetClose does not have. For a CAS firm, it is a no brainer though, …
D&B provides insight into the viability of a customer who is looking for open terms and large orders on credit. It helps us determine the risk when lending to customers with whom we don't have much history. It's also helpful to see what types of liens/lawsuits they have pending at a given time.
It's really good in ensuring all of our accounting/finance people are on the same page and knowing what work is outstanding, at what step in the process reconcs or checklists or at, if we're tracking on time, who may need some additional support, etc. It really does a great job of letting us know when accounts are out of balance and needs to be looked at again. Ensures we will be fully ready for audit and pass with flying colors.
Finding Companies through Search or Advanced Search. It's got an easy search bar. And then for example, we have companies all over the world that come to us. And so we can just choose the country, for example, and then write the name in there and it'll bring up a lot of different companies that maybe are exactly that name or close to that name. And when we see what we believe to be the actual company, we can click on it and then know whether they are credit worthy.
Great UX on the website - fast and easy to use. The speed with which it operates is really terrific and very important for us because we usually have to make that decision right away.
Using something as objective as a numerical score simplifies decisions about offering credit. We have to make a decision usually on whether to offer credit to an advertiser quickly. So what's wonderful about the process is that we don't have to be searching around on Google or any kind of review site and then try to discern whether they're credit worthy. We simply open up the D&B Finance Analytics tool.
It would be great to see drill down capabilities between account reconciliations/flux analyses that links to our transactional data in our ERP.
I would like to see a litte more customization available in the analytics tab to add custom filter drop downs.
I believe this is close to being released, but I'd like to see anticipated time commitments on the task level to be able to easily review capacity type reporting/analytics.
D&B Finance Analytics reports have just about everything. You can see a full company profile including legal forms, history records, employee count, years in business, paydex scores, delinquency scores, viability ratings, state of incorporations, naics codes, CEO or business owner names, etc. There is a lot that pulls up in this report
It has proven to enhance our procedures with closing. It is an effective tool that I would recommend to create a more efficient closing procedure and get the team more aligned. It increases the accountability among the staff and helps to keep us on task and on time. It is easy to sign into and has reminder emails for tasks that are coming up or late.
I would you rate the D&B Finance Analytics's overall usability a 9 because it is super easy to use. The only reason for a 9 is there are a lot of features that I didn't realize were there and was not sure how to actually use them or what kind of information I could get
FloQast is incredibly intuitive and easy to use. The only reason I don't give it a 10 is that the Flux Analysis feature is not great in terms of getting the information into the system. Once it's in, fantastic! But some work is needed
We have only noticed a slight slow down in accessing FloQast on a couple of occasions (near the beginning of a month when many people were likely trying to get online to close their books). The issue has always resolved itself with three to five minutes, so it's never been a hinderance.
FloQast's performance is great. The pages always load quickly, and reports are completed fast! I've never noticed any slowdown in our ERP from the interface with FloQast.
This is a great resource for us on the sales and accounting side of our company. The graphs and ratings based on Paydex, Failure Score, and Delinquency Score are so useful. This tool has endless ways to help a company be protected against things that can be damaging to their financial situation.
They are rapid in their response. If they can't immediately offer a solution, they continue to keep in contact with you to let you know where they are in resolving your issues. The staff is friendly & speaks to you in layman's terms, not so high-tech that you can't understand
The FloQast team members are just so personable. FloQast has clearly done a great job hiring people who are not just good at what they do, but are also fun to work with! They have placed people in the right roles and the customer benefits from this. I have enjoyed every opportunity I've had to work with a FloQast team member on training.
The online training was worth it. We did an online training with our team and an account rep from D&B. They walked us through the entire interface and answered all of our questions.
The online training is good. But like all online, pre-recorded training, it is never quite as good as in-person or live training where one can ask questions or get clarification. That said, FloQast has an extensive training library and most of the time, if one finds they need help on a topic, it can be answered by going to the online training and watching appropriate recording.
Implementation occured before I started with the company (but despite the instruction to skip the question if I did not participate, the site required I put in a rating in order to move on to the next page)
Our team in Canada uses Equifax instead. However we find that they're often asking us to pull data and reporting from D&B instead. D&B's Finance Analytics data is more detailed, easier to use, and can quickly be saved & shared. This makes is easy and FAST for our business to make more informed decisions. D&B blows the competition away even from an international perspective.
I used BlackLine at my previous job. Now I use FloQast at my current job. FloQast is, in my opinion, much easier to use than BlackLine and the looks and feels of the website are more user friendly and visually pleasing. BlackLine seemed like a separate system and was not really connected to Intacct (they used Intacct as well at my previous job). Everything just seemed clumsy with that system. FQ is smoother.
We started using it with one client/customer and now use it with fourteen entities and plan to add two more in the next couple of months. It has made it possible to grow our business without hiring additional personnel. We can do more work with the same number of people
Reducing risk by pointing out potential issues at the outset
Hard quantification of certain metrics, in particular the Paydex stat, as well as failure and delinquency likelihood.
Assists with lowering DSO (sorry, no hard figures available) by letting us know when there is a potential issue from the beginning, or when we update our records.
