We actually moved from DocuWare to Plate IQ because Plate is restaurant specific and shares many item codes, SKU #'s, etc from major vendors. However, we continue to use DocuWare for other data management because it was so useful to us while we used it for AP.
We have used Salesforce App Cloud because other departments were using this app. It was okay but was not beneficial for our department because Salesforce is more suited for sales. It was not always customization to track the things that we needed within our department but it …
I tried a couple of other options like Proforms and one other that I don't recall. Because I have moderate computer knowledge and we had the need for customization and flexibility, GoCanvas couldn't be beat. They also worked with us on flat pricing for a bulk rate of licenses …
GoCanvas is much easier to use and customize than Google Forms. We have used Google Forms in the past, but seem to find that GoCanvas works better for our company and what we do. The reports are cleaner, more professional, and easier to use than Google Forms. I feel that it …
We can use Docuware Cloud as a checks and balances program for our application processing in our data department. This is a time saver and allows us to access information at our multiple locations, as well as we have clients in various states. We can assign documents to others throughout the processing of applications, and this has allowed us to keep better track of our documentation with clients.
I believe that GoCanvas is well suited for a company when they have one or two documents that need to be in the system. Also maybe a smaller company with 1-11 employees. For us, it has been somewhat of a challenge with 10-15 employees using it with sometimes 5 different documents and managing that. The customization of the documents is fabulous and we could sign contracts electronically which gave us an edge with our competition.
Some of their customization of the PDF Report builder is limited, but this is more than likely for simplicity sake. There have been some limitations based on their programming limitations, but we've been able to get around some of them.
Tech support is not instantly available and can take up to a day to get back to you.
We use a third-party company to assist in the support process, and they have been great to work with. Quick turn around on issues and almost immediate communication concerning support tickets. They are more than willing to consult with our IT partners as well, which is a must for our business.
