Listrak, headquartered in Pennsylvania, offers a customer data and marketing platform for retailers that features email marketing with social network engagement, abandoned cart rescue, and in-store data / information retrieval. Listrak is retail-specific and helps create an integrated and personalized customer experience across physical stores, ecommerce stores, social networks, or email, helping retail entities of widely varying sizes, small to large, to achieve their marketing goals.

DotMailer is built for eCommerce. Drip, ActiveCampaign, and Infusionsoft are not eCommerce platforms out of the box, though they can be tailored to that use case. DotMailer is especially geared toward retail businesses.
Ultimately, we chose dotMailer over constant contact due to our opt-in process. Constant contact requires a hard opt-in process where there is a formal sign up sheet. For us, we allow customers to sign up, register or just send us their details and we'll add them to the list. …
The Bronto platform is so similar to Listrak in that it made no sense for us to move unless there were significant cost savings (there weren't). We are so intertwined with Listrak that it would be painful to move for the sake of moving. Klaviyo is very DIY which can be great. …
The service is overpriced compared to competitors, and the service is very hard to set up and integrate with our Shopify store. You think they would want to integrate more seamlessly with the largest e-commerce platform on the market. After working with them for several years, …
Klaviyo and MailChimp have better integrations with Shopify and seem to be targeted more to the small business. Listrak is definitely better suited for a mid-tier business, but they will help you get there.
The focus Listrak has on e-commerce was a huge selling point. The price-point and easy installation were another attraction. The product is simple, clean, effective, and encompasses everything we need to be successful. It was a clear winner for us.
I've been using programs like Listrak for several years. Many times the needs from clients have been on a smaller scale, so options like MailChimp and ConstantContact have provided the necessary service levels. However, if you're looking at merging effectively with an eCommerce …
This is the first subscription list service we have used so we don't have much to compare it to. We have no complaints about the software or the service they provide. They have been very easy to work with and fast to respond to questions on our account.
Listrak stands out from the listed companies for a variety of reasons, but there are 3 main areas that make Listrak my go to platform. 1. Superior control over your Database & Lists 2. Excellent deliverability rate for businesses that possess a large database.
dotMailer is a great tool whether you are a standalone shop or a global company. I am not familiar with many other programs, but my favorite thing about dotMailer is the ability to have all of our constituents on the same account to share templates and ideas, as well as gauge our performance levels. To any colleague within our Group, I would 100% recommend dotMailer
We use Listrak to send cart abandonment emails, welcome emails, and sales emails. We also use the segmentation tool to find specific customers if we are looking for feedback on new products or specific issues. This has been a great way to reach out to them in a very personalized way.
Updating contact lists can be cumbersome. It would be much easier if we could just make mass update to contact lists without having to export and re-import them. For example, if you upload a list of Joe's contacts and then want them to all be individually tagged with Jane instead, you would have to export the list, change everyone's rep to Jane, and then import the list again.
The time zone on our account is set to London which creates challenges for the other cities (New York, Chicago, Seattle, Sao Paulo) that we send emails for. We definitely have to be cautious when scheduling out emails so that we get the timing correct.
I would love to be able to view previous months' activities and expand the comparison tool to view trends over time.
Since this is used on a global scale and it is preferable to all of our brands, I cannot see us switching to a different provider. We have built years worth of contacts and templates within our current system, which saves our marketing team a lot of time when putting together future campaigns. All of them are mobile optimized which makes it even easier to work with

Ability to execute dynamic content & intricately segmented email campaigns has made a hugely positive impact on our marketing capabilities while maintaining a large database.
Listrak does cost slightly more than its competition, therefore making me (the consumer) look a little harder at our ROI since implementing Listrak as our primary digital marketing platform. All-in-all, it is safe to say that Listrak has definitely had a positive impact on our overall business goals of creating campaigns that increase customer engagement, click-thru rates, and most importantly conversions.
