There are pros and cons to each and every one of them. To be honest, I use them all for different scenarios. SnagIt is a desktop app and is a bit more heavy-duty. I don't necessarily need that all the time. CloudApp is the most comparable - it is also good in its own way.
Dropbox as a screen capture function, but is much more limited compared to Droplr. The process also tends to be slower than using Droplr. Evernote allows to take and share screen captures. It provides a nice array of tools, perhaps even better than Droplr, but it is slower and …
Lightshot Screenshot provides the same screenshot functionality as Droplr, but with no cost. Lightshot Screenshot also allows you to edit a photo and can upload your photo either to the cloud or just paste it in an email/Slack/anything else to your client. There are very little …
Before Droplr, I have used TechSmith's Jing, Monosnap, Clipular, and Quickcast. I found Droplr to be the easiest to use and the most stable. If ever I do have an issue with it, their Support Team is very responsive and it's usually resolved within a day.
I used Dropbox before. I searched for alternatives, and switched to Droplr, after I had to receive over 160 submissions for a project from all over the world. The majority of the submissions were not click & download, but required additional logins, sometimes individual …
Droplr seemed to have a better mobile component for managing and sharing Drops. I don't need many mobile screen grabs but when I do sharing them through Droplr was very easy.
Droplr has a much better storing mechanism than cloud. It's also much more reliable (in our experience) and the ability to use a custom URL for link sharing is very helpful for our business. I also prefer how the Mac app works with Droplr as it feels just a bit easier to use …
While these services are great in their own right, they are general cloud services. Droplr has the expressed focus of file sharing, especially with images and videos. This makes it far more ideal for people who want to quickly and easily collaborate and express ideas in a …
Over the years, I have used many screenshot software. The list includes Skitch, Screencast-O-Matic, and native Apple screenshot functionality. None of these have been as easy to use and as dependable as Droplr. Some of the other services require manual uploading, lack specific …
I really like how Droplr auto-uploads and copies the shortened link in a snap. CloudApp does that as well, but, Droplr seems snappier. Something Droplr is lacking is something that Snagit does very well. It lets you choose where to upload or send the file when you're done. For …

Vyond is WAY better than VideoScribe (although, to be fair, it's also about six times more expensive)! It's much easier to work with and more versatile in terms of styles and what you can do with it. We used VideoScribe for a few years and then ditched it and went looking for a …

Chose Vyond
Vyond was far better than Animoto for creating animated graphics and characters. Vyond was also far more flexible than "doodle" software such as Doodly, which is very limited to "whiteboard" videos.
When compared to Vidyard and Lumen5, all these tools do a great job of making it easy to create customized sales/marketing videos and demos. That being said, Vidyard and Lumen5 do not have the extensive animation capabilities that Vyond has. Vyond also has many more …
Biteable is great for real-world footage. It is also easy to use and they have templates. However, Biteable is not as easy to use as Vyond and doesn't have customization options. It takes me a lot longer to use biteable and the program is a little bit "clunkier".
I started using Vyond back when it was Go Animate. It has been so long since I vetted other products, I can't remember who they were. I am so happy with Vyond that I don't bother to look elsewhere.
Vyond is the best tool our company has used for creating animated explainer videos and social content. We have tried many other software solutions but Vyond offers the most options for animating characters, text, and scenes. Despite the lack of options for overall styles, it …
I’ve used software like Powtoon before, and Vyond is so much easier to control. It’s great that you can control the motion paths and the timing of each action, other software doesn’t really have this, but this allows me to really time out the movements in my scenes more …
Before signing up with Go Animate (now Vyond) I also tested Pow Toons and My Simple Slide Show. My Simple Slide Show simply wasn't dynamic enough for my audience and I felt that it didn't provide anything I couldn't achieve through other tools I already possessed such as …
While most of the other platforms are there to help you publish your video, Vyond is more useful in creating the video. In this way, these tools can actually work together and our business uses all of them for different website and email marketing needs. Vyond remains a great …
We looked at a lot of agencies and used agencies for this type of content in the past. The cost to make one video was as much as a yearly subscription to Vyond and sometimes even more. With Vyond, we can create as many videos as we like and all it takes is the time needed to …
I can't say exactly which one I would recommend more, but the pros of BranchTrack are that they offer the ability to upload voicefiles which will automatically attach to each scene, saving A LOT of time. They're program is also very easy to move scenes around in and having the …
Droplr is most appropriate when taking quick screenshots and sharing them internally. It's outrageously easy to take a Droplr link, paste it in Slack, and have the screenshot unfurl.
Droplr is least suited to sharing assets between you and a client. If you're sharing a screenshot, you have to paste the link, then copy the image that's featured within the link to share the asset. You can't guarantee that a client would actually click on a deliverable link, so it takes up time and storage space.
Vyond is great for creating professional looking animations even if you have no experience in animation or video. Vyond is user friendly and has a relatively simple learning curve. The templates and graphics provided makes it easy to create custom animations and storytelling.
Making screenshots and recordings couldn't be simpler. I use these features constantly and it helps me to improve the user experience prior to user testing and delivery. The users can actually see how these functions will work and can replay/review them easily.
The process of sharing files is simple and the desktop app, as well as browser extensions, make it a real pleasure to use.
The tagging and categorization of boards, as well as the ability to share these collections with others, is invaluable. This allows me to easily share, for example, a large number of concepts at once so I do not have to send multiple links to customers and collaborators.
The windows app is not very reliable, it has some bugs still that are being worked out.
The screen selection for video would be better if you didn't have to share the entire screen or window. It would be nice if you could record only a selected area like with a screenshot.
When taking a screenshot with the chrome extension it would be nice if it were more clear what area your mouse was in right after clicking. For instance, highlight the cross-hair and dim the rest of the screen. The screen would lighten only in the area you select.
The fact that it's on a cloud server means that sometimes the software can get clunky/slow.
There may be extra work involved if you have multiple characters talking in one audio file and you want them to sync their mouths with their appropriate lines.
Characters having multiple actions/expressions means multiple scenes, which can be very cumbersome to manage.
I was recently at a conference where I learned that many of my peers also use Vyond, solidifying my opinion that it is the right tool for out needs. Further more, one of our content vendors also uses it, ensuring that I will continue to use it as I believe this will facilitate our collaborations in the future
This program is great when you have no video experience! There's only a little of a learning curve to the program. In general, the user interface is great and easier than using a program like Adobe premier. It's a great resource to use as a marketer.
Vyond is just an animated video creation tool. You have to use your video content and track its performance through other means. Because it is an online tool it doesn't hog your resources or slow down any other tools that I use. It is a stand-alone product and it doesn't need to integrate with any of our other tools. It does what it does and that is all we need.
I haven’t had any issues that required me to contact their support team. However, I believe support in any product starts before you have to call for help. Vyond provides an option for priority queue when you have their professional option. This is great for folks who need things done faster, especially when businesses can’t afford any downtime. Their Live chat feature is also reassuring, because I don’t always want to spend time on the phone or on hold if their call volume is high and I need to solve an issue.
There are pros and cons to each and every one of them. To be honest, I use them all for different scenarios. Snagit is a desktop app and is a bit more heavy-duty. I don't necessarily need that all the time. CloudApp is the most comparable - it is also good in its own way
Vyond is WAY better than VideoScribe (although, to be fair, it's also about six times more expensive)! It's much easier to work with and more versatile in terms of styles and what you can do with it. We used VideoScribe for a few years and then ditched it and went looking for a replacement tool. Another application was being used by another learning developer, but that was nixed by IT as not being secure enough. Vyond has given us both the functionality/assets we need and the security that makes IT happy.
I use Droplr every day and it's been a huge boost for productivity since I never need to think about how a screenshot will be shared. It's just built in and so easy.
