Druva Security Cloud
Chose Druva Security Cloud
Prefer Druva for the simplicity of setup and cost.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
This is easier, more stable, and waaaaaaay more manageable
Chose Druva Security Cloud
Some competitors Excel at either endpoint protection or SaaS apps, but not both. Druva gave us a single platform to protect laptops, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and more—streamlining management and reporting.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
We also reviewed Veeam and Rubrik and while all three were good options, Druva Security Cloud won out as our completely cloud hosted solution of choice. Druva Security Cloud seemed to have a better user interface during the POCs. The sales team was proactive and pricing in our …
Chose Druva Security Cloud
We liked Druva better for our company and environment. At the time of purchase, Druva outperformed the competition and was able to backup everything in our environment.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
Druva is more cost effective for our environment then crash plan. We are also able to get more of our Junior technicians in the space to help support our staff with backups. crash plan was also difficult to implement and required almost around the clock maintenances and changes …
Chose Druva Security Cloud
We did a like for like comparison and our tests indicated it was cheaper and easier to run Druva v/s the other products in the market.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
The major component was the cost. I just took a trial for the backup solution but when I asked Druva Security Cloud for the same it was very cost affective and easy to use for me then barracuda.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
Druva blows veeam out of the water, nuff said.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
We use both Druva and OneDrive together to provide a bulletproof backup solution. Both of these are running constantly backing up our data. I wouldn't neccessarily compare both these solutions, but more say how they compliment each other on what they do. All solutions have …
Chose Druva Security Cloud
Given that the company is very small with less users and scalability is possible with Druva in case needed.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
The below are some the reasons Druva Security cloud stacks up against all the others:
cost saving- it removed the need for hardware, or software maintenance
centralized management - there is centralized management and improved visibility across native apps.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
Druva Security Cloud's integration was seamless and the portal much more user friendly and easily understood. Ease of use and reporting makes it far superior to our Dell integration in the past.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
we haven't used any others
Chose Druva Security Cloud
At this point, being a smaller organization, we do not have the need to explore any of Druva's current offerings. When the time comes, we know right where to look. We have been more than impressed with everything we have gotten from Druva Security Cloud and their team.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
Before Druva Data Resiliency Cloud we used Veeam with the cloud provider 11:11. Veeam was great and did what it needed to do BUT it left a large footprint on our production environment with setting up gateways and proxy VMs for the data. 11:11 was iLand and they were always …
Chose Druva Security Cloud
The Druva Data Resiliency Cloud platform stands out from the competition by employing a multipronged strategy. Rubrik Security Cloud also offers scalability and data recovery while Cohesity DataProtect best performs by reducing the need for data silos. I believe that Druva …
Chose Druva Security Cloud
Druva Data Resiliency Cloud's, encryption, single management portal and integrations made the decision easy. The pricing and the three year term made it even easier.

Egnyte
Chose Egnyte
Egnyte was the clear winner, given how the access works and how it can scale over time. It allows folder access control at every folder level, meaning you won't have to restructure or create a new site just to isolate specific data.
Chose Egnyte
Egnyte syncs with Windows machines better than any competitor I have come across. The service focuses on just this platform and their in depth focus shows in the end result. Google is not really made with Windows in mind. Box is cumbersome and the web portal is not easy to use. …
Chose Egnyte
Egnyte is already up to Dropbox because of its features and its interface we can easily understand Egnyte but dropbox is very hard to understand security is more in Egnyte as compare with dropbox so I think Egnyte is heading in the right direction and Egnyte team is doing a …
Chose Egnyte
I have also tried Azure Backup but Egnyte has more smart features than this. As I am using their platform for some time so when I get stuck anywhere I just contact their representatives and they respond on time. Listen to queries very carefully.
Chose Egnyte
It is a better cloud storage platform than other tools. The technical staff is the most fantastic thing about Egnyte. They are always available for any kind of help at any time. They assess the problem critically and
Chose Egnyte
Egnyte provided Quarem the most robust and secure environment. Additionally, Egynte makes organizing the files very simple, saving my team time and money.
Chose Egnyte
At the time when this was implemented (over 5 years ago and still in production), there were issues with syncing and reliability that Egnyte did not have, and have continued to impress with. Other providers have improved a lot and Egnyte is fairly costly, but switching costs …
Chose Egnyte
Egnyte provided a secure and reliable platform for our specific need [for] secure file sharing. We do not rely on Egnyte for syncing files or for a corporate internal file share, which is how we use Google Drive. But, we are pleased with the customizations and tracking of …
Chose Egnyte
I have used DropBox a lot in the past which is similar but not as well suited to handling large amounts of data and is more complicated to use.
Chose Egnyte
We also looked at Dropbox and a few others, and we found that Egnyte was (at the time) the ONLY HIPPA and Part 11 compliant software on the market. We loved the security features in Egnyte and felt safe trusting our data to such an innovative and reputable company. We are …
Chose Egnyte
I think that Egnyte is a good tool especially when you need to share files within the same company or organization. I think that the layout is much better and updated than Dropbox. The downside to Egnyte is that you cannot edit files within the tool like you can do for Google, …
Chose Egnyte
Egnyte has a much easier management console and it's easier to share files and create a directory of files etc. The overview is more simplified. Onedrive, however, has the option to collaborate in documents in the application itself. But Egnyte should have this feature in the …
Chose Egnyte
Egnyte's storage capacity was well beyond the capabilities of DropBox at our budget. Plus, at the time (nearly five years ago) DropBox was a little quirky when it came to uploading files. OneDrive was a good fit but it presented challenges when working with users that did not …
Chose Egnyte
Egynte does not allow for file collaboration when compared to Google Drive. Egynte is a better option for compliant and secure file and asset management. Also for when taking version control into consideration. When organizations are collaborating with external organiations …
Chose Egnyte
Egnyte is more user-friendly than both Dropbox and Box, and has more functionality to match. The user management is simple with Egnyte, and the storage limits are enormous - we'll never be concerned about running out of room. Egnyte's device management is also an essential part …
Chose Egnyte
Egnyte is easier to use and doesn't have as many glitches. It's pretty seamless to edit something and it saves multiple copies of a draft. It's easier and cleaner to search, set up admin rights and you can set it up to store automatically. I had some major issues with Google …
Chose Egnyte
I did not select Egnyte - my company used it when I started to work here. I don't have another program to compare to but we all have been very happy with the system. We plan to use it for as long as possible. It is super easy to use and we love that it has the ability to open …
Chose Egnyte
Egnyte has significantly more structure out of the box than Google Drive or Dropbox. While Google Drive is much cheaper, and Dropbox has more potential in the right hands; Egnyte just works immediately in an enterprise situation. There are other enterprise level solutions, like …
Chose Egnyte
Dropbox is just the main competitor of Egnyte that we have used and have ample experience with, among many others. Egnyte however blows dropbox out of the water in ease of use, style, functionality, and cyber security from my experience. Egnyte has been nothing short of …
Chose Egnyte
None of these other solutions had document tracking or search features that could even hold a candle to Egnyte. Out of all of them box had the best, then we tried Egnyte and it blew then all out of the water.
The amount of time we saved on minor tasks was more than enough to …
Chose Egnyte
Egnyte allows integration with Google Drive as well as providing additional functionality such as tasking.
Chose Egnyte
The biggest competitor and leader in this space is Dropbox. Egnyte beats Dropbox when it comes to ease of use and its inviting interface. However, Dropbox has the obvious advantage in reliability, which comes with the scale of that company. Ultimately, the security of Egnyte …

We are a cloud-only shop, so Druva Data Resiliency Cloud is a natural fit. We do not have a large Azure VM presence, so I do not know how well they play in that space. If you are not cloud-focused, I am not sure that Druva Data Resiliency Cloud's strengths will be easily seen. However, in the cloud they are tough to beat.

If you're simply sharing and syncing across devices and don't care about granular security permissions, this is an easy win. If you're needing more control over the ability to restrict users from deleting folders, sharing folders, and allowing only certain groups to be able to view a folder, this can work but will ultimately give you arthritis as you'll end up having to perform a multitude of clicks for a task that should be able to be done in a fraction of the action. Have a folder template that allows for the first two levels of folders to be view only and the third level allowing file/folder creation and deletion? Have fun setting each of the third level folder's permissions-- they should give out free wrist braces. When discussed with their engineers about this function, a suggested $28,000 custom script was suggested. I don't believe them when they say that they haven't heard of other customers wishing to assign rights to multiple folders-- Something any sort of real admin would require. It simply isn't important to them, which is fine. The current ability

Pros
  • We like the option of downloading backed up files both individually and as a group.
  • The ransomware protection is a security feature that puts our minds at ease when it comes to the safety of our data.
  • The Customer Success team does frequent reach outs and technical health checks.

  • Drive map tool on Windows and flexibility on client configuration, can change drive letters fairly easily if needed.
  • New user setup is straightforward and permissions not too difficult to set up and assign.
  • Support has been fairly responsive and helpful with issues as they have come up.

Cons
  • Advanced Ransomware Recovery doesn't work for all Druva offerings, that would be a great feature to have.
  • The archiving feature could also offer more price flexibility.
  • Seating up the initial configurations can be a little tedious due to the length of the documentation involved.

  • We often have issues with WebEdit, changes not saving/overwriting
  • No functionality to drag and drop files/folders within the UI, can only move things by going through Move > Select location
  • When previewing Word files in the browser, tracked changes are not shown so there can be misunderstandings when quickly reviewing documents

This is the second company I've brought to Druva. Just today, I was tasked with recovering a file from a user that last saw it 6 months ago. I was able to restore it in under 5 minutes of getting the request. It's really that easy.

We found that usage of Egnyte in our supported clients, with sufficient bandwidth, provided all the features and stability we required. The billing setup was fair and the support provided was ample for end users and well as our in house admins. There was a concern about high usage clients but this was taken into account during the vetting process.

Usability
Usability is really high on my list when it comes to software/applications. As with all new technologies, there is a bit of a learning curve, but things are relatively easy to find. Occasionally you have to do a few extra clicks, but for the most part, it's quite user friendly and intuitive. You don't have to go a dozen levels deep to find what you're looking for - or at least the surface level issue.

Really easy to use the interface. The web browser is very intuitive and I have not had any notable issues with this. It's easy to work on documents as a team, and the only issues we have to tend to come with Apple apps and downloading large files to WebEdit. It's very similar to the filing systems that come on Apple and Windows devices so not a steep learning curve.

Reliability and Availability
Like any service, there are scheduled maintenance periods and unscheduled outages, however outages have been very limited and fortunately have not had any impact on our environment.

Performance
Page response in the admin center is acceptable- rarely are we waiting for data to load. Backup speeds seem fine, and restore speeds are OK considering it's likely pulling data from cold storage. It often takes 30-60 seconds for the restore to begin transferring files, but speeds are acceptable thereafter

Egnyte works very well across all platforms and as an add-on to other programs. Load time is close to nothing. Reports can be made in no time as well. All in all no performance issues. We can see that it depends on the local network connection. If you're running with fiber there won't be any issues.

I can't downvote this facet on account of my never having to call upon Druva's Tech Support. Self-help is always my first port of call and the documentation provided by Druva has allowed me to proceed to a point where I can confidently use the system. Even without support, I trust the system implicitly. That said, I'm pretty sure if and when I need it, it'll be awesome.

I never had to reach out to customer support for Egnyte. I don't know any coworkers who have had to reach out to Egnyte for support either. As far as I am concerned, the support team is doing a good job since I have not had to reach out to them.

We also reviewed Veeam and Rubrik and while all three were good options, Druva Security Cloud won out as our completely cloud hosted solution of choice. Scalability
As the product is cloud based within AWS, scaleability is unlimited. The on-premise units of scale are predictable and allow administrators to scale up / down as needed. In my experience, the flexibility around these appliances, allow organisations to vertically or horizontally scale the environment with confidence and ease. Conversely, it is possible to set thresholds to ensure that organisations do not over commit and manage budgets effectively.

Return on Investment
  • More importantly it reduced 60% of our operational overhead and time savings in maintaining the backups.
  • This also tremendously reduced the manual failures like deduplicating the backups and there were many cases it saved us 40% of our entire bill by taking point in time backups.
  • It saved 1000's of dollars when we used the DR plan and rolled a new infra in less than few minuted with less manpower and less time.

  • The promising advantage of Egnyte is that user can access their files from the cloud anywhere without any cumbrance like connecting to VPN or other third-party soft wares.
  • No risk of data loss.
  • The platform is lacking in changing the parent administrator of a folder as if one person is the administrator of the file or folder and when needs to change it becomes clunky and does not supports it properly.
