Prefer Druva for the simplicity of setup and cost.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
This is easier, more stable, and waaaaaaay more manageable
Chose Druva Security Cloud
Some competitors Excel at either endpoint protection or SaaS apps, but not both. Druva gave us a single platform to protect laptops, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and more—streamlining management and reporting.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
We also reviewed Veeam and Rubrik and while all three were good options, Druva Security Cloud won out as our completely cloud hosted solution of choice. Druva Security Cloud seemed to have a better user interface during the POCs. The sales team was proactive and pricing in our …
Chose Druva Security Cloud
We liked Druva better for our company and environment. At the time of purchase, Druva outperformed the competition and was able to backup everything in our environment.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
Druva is more cost effective for our environment then crash plan. We are also able to get more of our Junior technicians in the space to help support our staff with backups. crash plan was also difficult to implement and required almost around the clock maintenances and changes …
Chose Druva Security Cloud
We did a like for like comparison and our tests indicated it was cheaper and easier to run Druva v/s the other products in the market.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
The major component was the cost. I just took a trial for the backup solution but when I asked Druva Security Cloud for the same it was very cost affective and easy to use for me then barracuda.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
Druva blows veeam out of the water, nuff said.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
We use both Druva and OneDrive together to provide a bulletproof backup solution. Both of these are running constantly backing up our data. I wouldn't neccessarily compare both these solutions, but more say how they compliment each other on what they do. All solutions have …
Chose Druva Security Cloud
Given that the company is very small with less users and scalability is possible with Druva in case needed.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
The below are some the reasons Druva Security cloud stacks up against all the others:
cost saving- it removed the need for hardware, or software maintenance
centralized management - there is centralized management and improved visibility across native apps.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
Druva Security Cloud's integration was seamless and the portal much more user friendly and easily understood. Ease of use and reporting makes it far superior to our Dell integration in the past.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
we haven't used any others
Chose Druva Security Cloud
At this point, being a smaller organization, we do not have the need to explore any of Druva's current offerings. When the time comes, we know right where to look. We have been more than impressed with everything we have gotten from Druva Security Cloud and their team.
Chose Druva Security Cloud
Before Druva Data Resiliency Cloud we used Veeam with the cloud provider 11:11. Veeam was great and did what it needed to do BUT it left a large footprint on our production environment with setting up gateways and proxy VMs for the data. 11:11 was iLand and they were always …

The Druva Data Resiliency Cloud platform stands out from the competition by employing a multipronged strategy. Rubrik Security Cloud also offers scalability and data recovery while Cohesity DataProtect best performs by reducing the need for data silos. I believe that Druva …

Chose OneDrive
I think ShareFile is a more complete product that lets me set up folders where people can send me files along with me being able to send secure links to my files. The sharing of files is fairly similar but I feel ShareFile does it better.
Chose OneDrive
I think OneDrive just edges out the other two because of the connection it has to the microsoft suite. All the excel and word documents just work. You dont have to worry what formatting might do to the document.
Chose OneDrive
OneDrive offers more storage than google drive, but dropbox gives unlimited storage for my institution.

OneDrive is best for large file sharing.
Chose OneDrive
OneDrive feels native is you are a Microsoft 365 user. The integration aspect of being a Microsoft customer and using all platform tools together helps with driving adoption, ease of learning, and overall efficiency. While Google Drive is widely used as well, there is a ramp …
Chose OneDrive
The most similar in functions would be Google Drive, however I chose One Drive because first, it allows to use all of office 365 software, which is universally used and preferred because of its trajectory. One Drive syncs directly with windows, which allows to use the desktop …
Chose OneDrive
"Describe how OneDrive stacks up against (alternatives) and why you selected OneDrive." It doesn't, except it's more secure than Gdrive. Definitely wouldn't select OneDrive for anything important.
Chose OneDrive
Dropbox does not have convenient business solutions such as cloud reporting. But One Drive ,It's a platform that virtually everyone already uses to some extent: it's more user-friendly and provides a better browser-based experience.
Chose OneDrive
Though dropbox has been in existence and popular, I found OneDrive to be much more effective in terms of pricing. And app support is better with OneDrive. Also as mentioned the new feature of not downloading all files but showing the names gets my vote for OneDrive. One more …
Chose OneDrive
OneDrive's autosave feature with Microsoft is key, which puts it ahead of Google Drive. I do like Google Drive's ubiquitousness and it seems to be the preferred method of collaboration.

Box is another file-sharing application that is very similar to OneDrive. Box falls short of OneDrive in its syncing capabilities. OneDrive is very quick with syncing so you never have to be concerned that you are not using the most up-to-date materials. Box was always a bit …
Chose OneDrive
OneDrive is my go to solution because included in the price of OneDrive is full access to the Microsoft Office suite of programs. It also includes all the same features as Google Drive and Dropbox, but includes those programs and even an email account if you want, so its the …
Chose OneDrive
OneDrive is ideal for document management and security of remote access to data and other important company data. I consider it secure and reliable as compared to Google Drive even though Google Drive offers more storage space for free.
Chose OneDrive
OneDrive has a specific file syncing technology which is otherwise known as the block level copying and [t]here the files would be broken [into] smaller packages whereas Google Drive would mine the user data from that of the files being uploaded to Google Drive.
OneDrive gives a …
Chose OneDrive
Compared to Dropbox, I like it a lot more. The user interface looks cleaner, your files are secure, and collaboration is encouraged with the tools that they offer.
Chose OneDrive
OneDrive gives powerful security and gives sufficient protection to our valuable data over Google Drive. It saves much of our precious time by synchronizing various files automatically. This auspicious tool lets us make privacy changes in each and every folder where there is a …
Chose OneDrive
I really find them equals in performance. I have used Dropbox for over a decade and it has always been reliable. However, Dropbox is not integrated with Microsoft Teams and it is much more expensive.
Chose OneDrive
I would not recommend OneDrive to anyone. Buggy and unreliable. Frequently corrupts files.
Chose OneDrive
OneDrive is included in our Microsoft suite of products so there was no additional cost for us to use it. We use OneDrive for that reason mainly. For the most part, it does what you expect a cloud storage system to do, and it does it fairly well. For a larger group (10 or more …
Chose OneDrive
In past organizations, I have utilized DropBox as a tool for file sharing and document collaboration. In my opinion, OneDrive is a much more comprehensive solution, because OneDrive takes DropBox one step further by integrating and automatically saving files in the device in a …

All of these products require a document storage system or are a document storage system. All of them get you to replicate what you are currently doing and paying for with Office 365 and OneDrive as a packaged feature. It’s just as robust and is native to your operating system …
Chose OneDrive
Tight integration with Office 365 is the main reason. Besides, Microsoft has a good reputation for supporting enterprise customers. SmartSheet does not have that reputation. We also have a long, stable relationship with Microsoft. Microsoft provides 1 TB of storage for each …
Chose OneDrive
After our analysis, we found OneDrive superior to Dropbox and Backblaze, considering our specific scenario of use. We also found OneDrive very similar to Google Drive when comparing features, ease-of-use, etc.(both are in the same level). Google offered more storage space, but …
Chose OneDrive
We are a Microsoft ecosystem, so iDrive isn't appropriate. Dropbox was more expensive and less integrated to Windows. OneDrive is part of our Office 365 subscription, so the decision-making process was easy.

We are a cloud-only shop, so Druva Data Resiliency Cloud is a natural fit. We do not have a large Azure VM presence, so I do not know how well they play in that space. If you are not cloud-focused, I am not sure that Druva Data Resiliency Cloud's strengths will be easily seen. However, in the cloud they are tough to beat.

  • For collaborative work both in education and professional areas.
  • For personal work in multiple devices, and "on the go" work.
  • It's great for work that takes a lot of memory space, because it is saved in the cloud, not the device itself.
  • It's a great tool for anyone working with a lot of creative files that can't be stored in small devices like USBs.

Pros
  • We like the option of downloading backed up files both individually and as a group.
  • The ransomware protection is a security feature that puts our minds at ease when it comes to the safety of our data.
  • The Customer Success team does frequent reach outs and technical health checks.

  • OneDrive does a great job of keeping file version history. I have had to use this feature many times and it is very simple to use. This one feature has saved my butt many times.
  • OneDrive synchronizes across devices very quickly. There have been many instances when I have added files online and, within seconds, saw the file show up on my local computer. This happens the other direction also. I am very impressed and satisfied with the speed of syncing in all directions.
  • The OneDrive app on my phone has been particularly helpful since it automatically syncs my photos (usually within seconds) and allows me access to all my files.

Cons
  • Advanced Ransomware Recovery doesn't work for all Druva offerings, that would be a great feature to have.
  • The archiving feature could also offer more price flexibility.
  • Seating up the initial configurations can be a little tedious due to the length of the documentation involved.

  • Sending Links - Though you can easily share links to files from the web experience, it isn't the same on the native experience. It would be nice if you could right click on a file to share its location with someone vs. opening the office application to share with others.
  • File Character Restrictions - This isn't just with OneDrive, but sometimes files will not upload due to an unsupported character in the file name.

This is the second company I've brought to Druva. Just today, I was tasked with recovering a file from a user that last saw it 6 months ago. I was able to restore it in under 5 minutes of getting the request. It's really that easy.

I like Box better. If you sign into Microsoft using a personal account, be EXTREMELY careful. All of your downloads could suddenly be available to your entire company, and that is incredibly embarrassing. Did that happen to me? Not going to say, but just always check which MS account you sign into.

Usability
Usability is really high on my list when it comes to software/applications. As with all new technologies, there is a bit of a learning curve, but things are relatively easy to find. Occasionally you have to do a few extra clicks, but for the most part, it's quite user friendly and intuitive. You don't have to go a dozen levels deep to find what you're looking for - or at least the surface level issue.

I have given it this rating because it accomplishes the basic task that we use it for, storing and protecting our sensitive data. That being said, I hesitate to give it a completely positive rating, because I feel that the software performs at a bare minimum level, skimping out on some of the bells and whistles that would be nice.

Reliability and Availability
Like any service, there are scheduled maintenance periods and unscheduled outages, however outages have been very limited and fortunately have not had any impact on our environment.

Performance
Page response in the admin center is acceptable- rarely are we waiting for data to load. Backup speeds seem fine, and restore speeds are OK considering it's likely pulling data from cold storage. It often takes 30-60 seconds for the restore to begin transferring files, but speeds are acceptable thereafter

It has a good performance, the pages load normally, access to the files, management, reports, everything is working well. With regard to integration with other systems, we have not done so yet.

Support Rating
I can't downvote this facet on account of my never having to call upon Druva's Tech Support. Self-help is always my first port of call and the documentation provided by Druva has allowed me to proceed to a point where I can confidently use the system. Even without support, I trust the system implicitly. That said, I'm pretty sure if and when I need it, it'll be awesome.

It's a Microsoft product so there is a wealth of information online both from Microsoft directly and from millions of users but as a corporate user we also have access to direct Microsoft support through a variety of avenues (phone, email, etc.). This makes finding answers to issues more accessible, however, it does also mean that any new feature requests will get buried.

Scalability
As the product is cloud based within AWS, scaleability is unlimited. The on-premise units of scale are predictable and allow administrators to scale up / down as needed. In my experience, the flexibility around these appliances, allow organisations to vertically or horizontally scale the environment with confidence and ease. Conversely, it is possible to set thresholds to ensure that organisations do not over commit and manage budgets effectively.

Return on Investment
  • More importantly it reduced 60% of our operational overhead and time savings in maintaining the backups.
  • This also tremendously reduced the manual failures like deduplicating the backups and there were many cases it saved us 40% of our entire bill by taking point in time backups.
  • It saved 1000's of dollars when we used the DR plan and rolled a new infra in less than few minuted with less manpower and less time.
