I am searching for a new vendor.

Eventbrite is in our experience much easier to use and has more offerings for what you can do with it. In addition, many people have used Eventbrite in the past because of its popularity which makes it an overall easier experience for setting up an account and going through the …

Eventbrite is very flexible and a great option for our smaller events and definitely our free events. Cvent however is the preferred tool for our larger events, that required custom apps, onsite badge printing, and many other conference features. The price Cvent charged and …
Chose Eventbrite
Both are wonderful tools. Eventbrite has more recognition among non-professional event planners. While the features stacked up nicely, it was the familiar navigation and UX that put Eventbrite over the edge.
Chose Eventbrite
Eventbrite is excellent for free events and does a great job with virtual events. Eventbrite does not offer an alternative to merchant processing. Freshtix and Passage allow me to use our own merchant processing systems. With Eventbrite, you have to use their processor and they …

My "go to" for event registration has always been Constant Contact because they don't charge additional processing fees above the standard transaction. If it's a more basic event where I just need to capture name, email, and payment, I'll continue to use Constant Contact over …
Chose Eventbrite
Eventbrite is really the best in the business for events! We do use other software for some of our events but in comparison, Eventbrite is the best and so many people are already familiar with it because of their brand recognition.
Chose Eventbrite
We use Eventbrite for everyday activities because it is simply easier to set up an event and send the invitation to a group of people. OneCause and many other platforms like it are very useful but require much more time to build out an event infrastructure. Again, if going for …
Chose Eventbrite
We didn't evaluate any other platforms too deeply because Eventbrite had the cheapest fee per ticket and the value of an already successful and connected platform for event discovery was important to us.
Chose Eventbrite
I like Eventbrite better for a wide variety of reasons. For starters, it looks significantly more professional than Google Forms does. Additionally, there's a tremendous amount of capability to this software, and it comes at no cost to the business user (if you pass the fees on …

Before using Eventbrite, we collected event registrations through our website. We could only customize it to a certain limit and would have to manually send reminder emails, now Eventbrite takes care of all of this for us. It makes it so much easier for our marketing team.
Chose Eventbrite
We have utilized Eventbrite due to its popularity in the market. After our experience, we can see why it remains one of the top event platforms out there. Overall, the experience is extremely streamlined and helps individuals get details, sign up, and attend events with ease. …
Chose Eventbrite
We have used Meetup alongside Eventbrite. Meetup has its pros and cons but as far as driving greater traffic toward an event and having actual ticket registrations, Eventbrite takes the crown.
Chose Eventbrite
It's not an apples to apples comparison. Eventbrite is a much more robust event management platform, designed specifically for ticket sales. Formstack, however, is perfectly fine for event registrations when all that's required is a simple RSVP form and it isn't crucial to …
Chose Eventbrite
Eventbrite is more polished and easy to set up out of the box, whereas FormAssembly gives you more flexibility and customization.
Chose Eventbrite
Eventbrite is not as customizable as some of the other event marketing platforms. Eventbrite is very broad whereas some of the other event marketing platforms enable you to tailor your message, collect more data and insights on your attendees and guests.
Chose Eventbrite
It's way cheaper and gets the job done. I have mentioned this to Cvent multiple times. Therefore I now only talk to Cvent about solutions Eventbrite does not have (like their event in a box).
Chose Eventbrite
I had previously used Eventbrite but did investigate alternatives to see how their platforms compared. I stuck with Eventbrite since I was familiar with its functionality.
Chose Eventbrite
We looked at Ticketspice as well, and they're much more affordable and their pages are more customizable than Eventbrite's. They aren't as state of the art of Eventbrite's pages and don't have the blog/current event pages like Eventbrite has, but Ticketspice is very competitive …

I used to use Cvent at another company, and it was really clunky and hard to customize. Everything felt like a chore, and Eventbrite made things a lot easier and more intuitive. I can create an event in minutes instead of hours, and the attendees have a way better experience …

This software is very well suited for a variety of larger events, like lectures and performances. I have appreciated setting it up and allowing it to run around the clock for our participants, which ultimately provides a smoother experience. However, I probably wouldn't recommend it for events where you're expecting a smaller audience. It can take a while to set up exactly as you'd like, and it may not be worth the time if you're expecting 30 people or less (depending on how much info you're trying to gather, of course).

Pros
  • Eventbrite is a well-known and trusted place for purchasing tickets. That trust helps us sell tickets. It also eliminates the need for integrating some other payment system into a webpage, which would be the alternative.
  • Eventbrite makes sending invitations easy. Upload contacts and using contacts from a previous event is very straight-forward. Building emails is simple, since there are a couple of prebuilt templates.
  • Discount codes and strategic pricing structures are a significant part of our marketing for events. Eventbrite makes it easy to offer discount codes. We also create several ticket types that include multi-ticket discounts, early-bird type specials and more. Each of which help us reach our audience at the right time with the right price.

Cons
  • While integration with Facebook is fairly seamless, once you have uploaded the event description to Facebook, any additional revisions must be made on both Eventbrite and Facebook individually. It's not a live integration.
  • My initial on boarding was extended by needing to seek information through various blogs, outside users and exploration through the site. More comprehensive training for first timers to the site would be welcome.
  • Integration with the manager calendar would help the marketing timeline. It's helpful to get email reminders, but would be fabulous if milestones could be dropped in my calendar.

Excellent platform and easy to use to create events. Eventbrite sets the standard for simple, effective and safe ticketing platforms. Our customers trust Eventbrite and we've always done well when we use this platform for ticketing. They have recently updated some of the virtual connectivity tools which make it even easier to set up and promote virtual events.

Usability
Great platform with so many incredible features. It streamlines workflow, communication, messaging, and analyzing data. I know of no other platform that can do what Eventbrite can do for the price or user-friendliness. They also offer great support for new users and integrate well with other platforms (i.e., social media and Sched).

Just jump in, don't over thinking it, doing it will net the very few basic questions you'll have. There's not much complexity so one doesn't need to plan as if moving a canal. It's as simple as can be.

My "go to" for event registration has always been Constant Contact because they don't charge additional processing fees above the standard transaction. If it's a more basic event where I just need to capture name, email, and payment, I'll continue to use Constant Contact over Eventbrite. However, if it's more complex and requires marketing, I would choose Eventbrite.

Return on Investment
  • We have greater flexibility using Eventbrite than with our previous system. Previously, we could not schedule events or invites to occur at a specific time. If we wanted to promote our event 1-week in advance, our invite would go out based on the date/time of the event.
  • Generally, about half the number of people who register for our events actually attend. But there are occasions when we need to limit registrations, something we couldn't do with our previous system.
  • Eventbrite allows us to email our registered attendees ahead of an event with further details, or to follow-up with things discussed during our event. It provides yet another way of promoting our next event.
