Eventbrite is very flexible and a great option for our smaller events and definitely our free events. Cvent however is the preferred tool for our larger events, that required custom apps, onsite badge printing, and many other conference features. The price Cvent charged and …

Both are wonderful tools. Eventbrite has more recognition among non-professional event planners. While the features stacked up nicely, it was the familiar navigation and UX that put Eventbrite over the edge.

Eventbrite is really the best in the business for events! We do use other software for some of our events but in comparison, Eventbrite is the best and so many people are already familiar with it because of their brand recognition.

We use Eventbrite for everyday activities because it is simply easier to set up an event and send the invitation to a group of people. OneCause and many other platforms like it are very useful but require much more time to build out an event infrastructure. Again, if going for …
Chose Eventbrite
We didn't evaluate any other platforms too deeply because Eventbrite had the cheapest fee per ticket and the value of an already successful and connected platform for event discovery was important to us.

I like Eventbrite better for a wide variety of reasons. For starters, it looks significantly more professional than Google Forms does. Additionally, there's a tremendous amount of capability to this software, and it comes at no cost to the business user (if you pass the fees on …

Chose Eventbrite
We have used Meetup alongside Eventbrite. Meetup has its pros and cons but as far as driving greater traffic toward an event and having actual ticket registrations, Eventbrite takes the crown.
Chose Eventbrite
It's not an apples to apples comparison. Eventbrite is a much more robust event management platform, designed specifically for ticket sales. Formstack, however, is perfectly fine for event registrations when all that's required is a simple RSVP form and it isn't crucial to …
Chose Eventbrite
Eventbrite is more polished and easy to set up out of the box, whereas FormAssembly gives you more flexibility and customization.
Chose Eventbrite
Eventbrite is not as customizable as some of the other event marketing platforms. Eventbrite is very broad whereas some of the other event marketing platforms enable you to tailor your message, collect more data and insights on your attendees and guests.
Chose Eventbrite
It's way cheaper and gets the job done. I have mentioned this to Cvent multiple times. Therefore I now only talk to Cvent about solutions Eventbrite does not have (like their event in a box).
Chose Eventbrite
I had previously used Eventbrite but did investigate alternatives to see how their platforms compared. I stuck with Eventbrite since I was familiar with its functionality.
Chose Eventbrite
We looked at Ticketspice as well, and they're much more affordable and their pages are more customizable than Eventbrite's. They aren't as state of the art of Eventbrite's pages and don't have the blog/current event pages like Eventbrite has, but Ticketspice is very competitive …

GoTo Meeting has its own merits but does lack on the functionality side of things as it can host a basic meeting and allow video/ screen sharing. Whereas on Hopin we can host multiple sessions at once in various 'rooms', allowing for networking, exhibition, and all …
Chose RingCentral Events
less reliable and professional-looking, but getting its features better really fast and for smaller events, I would prefer them to Hopin in the case of Meetyoo it has to do with its 3d capabilities that impress a lot compared with the boring although efficient Hopin look
Chose RingCentral Events
Hopin allows the creation of much more detailed and professional events vs zoom or Google meet. It really allows you to build out each event fully with custom landing pages, info about guests, and more.
Chose RingCentral Events
More robust options than GoTo Webinar. Perceived to have better security features than Zoom.
Chose RingCentral Events
Hopin aligns more closely with the community feel we were wanting.
Chose RingCentral Events
Different use cases really - Hopin was more suited to what we wanted to do
Chose RingCentral Events
I actually have a bone to pick about this. I want Hopin to incorporate or copy Bevy's community feature. Bevy's conference feature SUCKS. And Bevy is really expensive for the value. BUT...I love the analytics, the built-in email service provider, and a few other things in …
Chose RingCentral Events
Hopin has more spaces to host concurrent sessions (vs creating multiple Zoom links)
Chose RingCentral Events
Hopin stacks up against the others with better studio and better analytics.

I checked into GoToWebinar, Webex, Webinar Jam, and others. I have used two of those in the past, with varying degrees of success. With my current products, I needed to upgrade into a more full-fledged conferencing platform, one where I wasn't on the tech support line every …
Chose RingCentral Events
We did use events like Expo-IP and MEETYOO and some other not-listed options. We opted for Hopin because of its customer support and scalability, as well as its ease of use.
Chose RingCentral Events
The needs of the clients are of utmost importance to us, so we take their "must-haves" and "nice to haves" and most times they align with Hopins features.
Chose RingCentral Events
Hopin has always topped our evaluations as the best platform providing the most complete range of desired features for the price they offer. For us, they lead the way in events platforms, and unless the group of people is small, we will use them as our first option for events …
Chose RingCentral Events
Airmeet has many worthwhile features, but ultimately I go with Hopin because of its rapid expansion. As for all the webinar platforms I've used, like EverWebinar, they're not in the same league. Not even close to the quality and functionality.
Chose RingCentral Events
We were with a company before Hopin - we explored elsewhere due to cost. Pros were design and custom look. We moved to Hopin, it was innovative at the time, although the design wasn't strong the features were. The majority now have the same features. So we did leave Hopin …
Chose RingCentral Events
Hopin's feature list and integrations were far superior to Bizzibo. Hopin's support team also blew Bizzibo out of the water - and not just during the contracting and onboarding process but also a year later, we are still seeing the same levels of excellent customer service.
Chose RingCentral Events
Hopin has the easiest user interface for both customers and internally, replicates the in-person environment for engagement as close as possible, and sets up very easily. It doesn't take a huge team or months to implement. You can get up and running quickly, and the platform …
Chose RingCentral Events
Definitely better suited than the others for conference-type events. We prefer to use zoom for others because of the breakout feature. And AnyMeeting works well for us for webinars.
Chose RingCentral Events
I've used Bizzabo for larger-scale events compared to Hopin, but they both are competitive and comparable.
Chose RingCentral Events
It has a very responsive customer service unlike many other famous and popular platforms so it is a great sigh of relief because as a user I am confident that whenever I come across any hurdles and discrepancies in the software the team will be there to sort it out. Moreover, …
Chose RingCentral Events
Airmeet was the most comparable to Hopin. It had a very similar interface. The networking feature was a little better in my opinion because it offered "round tables" where you could see the table and see how many were already seated at the table and join the table if you wish. …
Chose RingCentral Events
We selected Hopin after shopping around for similar tools (it seemed like a fairly short list at the time). Hopin seemed to have the best reviews from people who had used the platform.
Chose RingCentral Events
Hopin is an all in one platform, that requires little integration. They are building and updating the product more and more each day so that it's the platform has all the features that you need. From registration to hosting the event, to post-event reporting, Hopin has it all. …

This software is very well suited for a variety of larger events, like lectures and performances. I have appreciated setting it up and allowing it to run around the clock for our participants, which ultimately provides a smoother experience. However, I probably wouldn't recommend it for events where you're expecting a smaller audience. It can take a while to set up exactly as you'd like, and it may not be worth the time if you're expecting 30 people or less (depending on how much info you're trying to gather, of course).

Hopin is very suitable for large events involving 100+ people where there are only a couple of people speaking. You can have a bunch of features such as networking and all in all, is quite a professional experience to use. For smaller groups, It takes too much effort to set up and isn't worth using over Google Meet or Zoom.

Pros
  • Eventbrite is a well-known and trusted place for purchasing tickets. That trust helps us sell tickets. It also eliminates the need for integrating some other payment system into a webpage, which would be the alternative.
  • Eventbrite makes sending invitations easy. Upload contacts and using contacts from a previous event is very straight-forward. Building emails is simple, since there are a couple of prebuilt templates.
  • Discount codes and strategic pricing structures are a significant part of our marketing for events. Eventbrite makes it easy to offer discount codes. We also create several ticket types that include multi-ticket discounts, early-bird type specials and more. Each of which help us reach our audience at the right time with the right price.

  • Hopin constantly is iterating to create a really user-friendly back-end system. As a company, it recognizes that event managers are being faced with the challenge of becoming virtual production technicians and mak[ing] that change easier to manage.
  • Hopin's back-end studio broadcast system makes it easy to create a seamless stream between pre-recorded and live presentations, with additional branding assets to make the overall stream look more professional and put together.
  • Hopin's networking and polling functionalities create great engagement within the platform that is measurable.
  • Hopin's ability to integrate with Salesforce and Marketo makes the lead flow process automatic and saves Event Managers from having to transfer that data manually.

Cons
  • While integration with Facebook is fairly seamless, once you have uploaded the event description to Facebook, any additional revisions must be made on both Eventbrite and Facebook individually. It's not a live integration.
  • My initial on boarding was extended by needing to seek information through various blogs, outside users and exploration through the site. More comprehensive training for first timers to the site would be welcome.
  • Integration with the manager calendar would help the marketing timeline. It's helpful to get email reminders, but would be fabulous if milestones could be dropped in my calendar.

  • The customizing capability of their landing pages and event is extensive but difficult to do without a background in design. Although designed to be user-friendly, it still takes a large investment of time and learning to do well.
  • The registrant join flow for their embedded registration form is lengthy and clunky. Thankfully if you utilize one of their many automation integrations, this isn't a necessary function.

Excellent platform and easy to use to create events. Eventbrite sets the standard for simple, effective and safe ticketing platforms. Our customers trust Eventbrite and we've always done well when we use this platform for ticketing. They have recently updated some of the virtual connectivity tools which make it even easier to set up and promote virtual events.

Usability
Great platform with so many incredible features. It streamlines workflow, communication, messaging, and analyzing data. I know of no other platform that can do what Eventbrite can do for the price or user-friendliness. They also offer great support for new users and integrate well with other platforms (i.e., social media and Sched).

I'm a pretty tech-savvy person but I still feel that Hopin was pretty user-friendly even for those of you who are less tech-savvy. Great thing is, you can play around and test the platform with the free version which allows you to get familiar with it before committing to the paid. I learned most of it on the free version which then made me more confident when deciding to use the paid version. Not only did it help me on the setup side, but it also proved to me that this was what we needed to do what we needed to do.

Always willing to help out and they have a ton of information handy on their website for self-service. If you can't find what you're looking for, their support team is quick to help out and provide any assistance you may need.
For the most part you're able to get a response from a support person within a few minutes, but there was a stretch when Hopin was reshuffling its staff that it sometimes took 24-48 hours, which is too long. However, as long as the staff remains stable - which seems likely - then its Support team is usually quite responsive.

Just jump in, don't over thinking it, doing it will net the very few basic questions you'll have. There's not much complexity so one doesn't need to plan as if moving a canal. It's as simple as can be.

If it's a more basic event where I just need to capture name, email, and payment, I'll continue to use Constant Contact over Eventbrite. However, if it's more complex and requires marketing, I would choose Eventbrite.

Return on Investment
  • We have greater flexibility using Eventbrite than with our previous system. Previously, we could not schedule events or invites to occur at a specific time. If we wanted to promote our event 1-week in advance, our invite would go out based on the date/time of the event.
  • Generally, about half the number of people who register for our events actually attend. But there are occasions when we need to limit registrations, something we couldn't do with our previous system.
  • Eventbrite allows us to email our registered attendees ahead of an event with further details, or to follow-up with things discussed during our event. It provides yet another way of promoting our next event.

  • Hopin has allowed us to extend our reach and become a go-to option for event organizers in the genre fiction space.
  • We are able to host multiple events per month, some of which would require a mix of paid staff and volunteers with 10 times (or more! I've been on those teams in the past!) the number of people we need using the tools and automation in Hopin.
  • The immersive experience converts 87% of attendees--either future event registrations or other products and services from us/our event partners.
