Fetch vs. Precoro

Fetch was a great upgrade for us when we started using it since we were moving from a paper/email based manual expense system. It would probably work well for a smaller company with a few departments. We pretty quickly hit a wall with it where it essentially met our needs, but we had to live with many limitations. Again, it was an improvement from a manual expense system, but there could have been more detail to the expense reporting options to handle standard situations. A few months ago Fetch announced that they were ceasing operation. I'm not sure if they were shifting directions or if they got acquired, but the expense reporting system we used went away.

Budget tracking on expenditure by departments - Precoro assists with budget tracking on the total budget which is allocated to each department. If the budget has been exhausted an alert is made for exceptional approval to the budget.

Duplication of invoices. When a supplier bills us the same invoice twice, Precoro makes a notification that an invoice with the same number was already uploaded for payment.

• Receipt capture accuracy is awesome - I was proofing them at first and never finding errors, so stopped doing that entirely
• Simple categories - Expenses get divided into Submitted, Approved, and Paid. Extremely easy to see the status of submissions at a glance.
• Email receipt capability - You can just email receipts to receipts@fetchmoney.com and it automatically connects to your account

• Easy tracking of purchase orders with real-time status updates
• 3-way matching of POs, invoices, and receipts to avoid errors
• Built-in commenting to discuss requests and approvals right in the system
• Responsive customer support with live chat — always helpful
• Visual budgeting tools to track spending by department or project
• Product catalog to standardize items across the company
• Mobile-friendly approvals — approve requests from anywhere
• Timely email and in-app notifications to avoid delays
• Easy-to-use interface — no steep learning curve

• The UI could use a refresh.
• I'd like to see a place to save connections rather than accessing from "recent connections" every time I open Fetch.

• The "bundles" in Precoro are not actually bundles. I would like to connect 2 of our catalog items together so that when 1 is selected for purchasing, the other item is required
• Sometimes the comments wont properly tag a person that we're trying to tag
• More options to customize the approval workflow based on location
• Ability to edit where we're buying an item from without having to deny the request

At first glance it seemed to be rather difficult in use, but actually it turned out to be much easier [than] we thought. Thanks to the Precoro team we could go through the procurement workflow. Precoro is a company, which makes great products for businesses. What is more, it is a team of professionals, who are always keep[ing] in touch with you. We had a great experience with the Precoro team which helped us with installation of the software.

Fetch is just simpler and works well for all the applications we require out of it. The price point is low and we don't really have any reason to shop around or find something else unless a new version of macOS becomes incompatible with Fetch.

Precoro is unique because it can be customizable from start to finish without needing to build in API. It is extremely easy to use and understand, so we did not need to give our employees extensive training as we did with Tradogram. Precoro also allowed us to communicate about orders right within the order itself, where the other software did not.

• The biggest I would say is the hard-to-quantify benefit for employees to be able to deal with receipts easily - plus, constantly be informed about the status of their reimbursements and the speed at which they are getting money back. People finally don't hate the experience of expensing anymore!
• Accounting's time spent on expense reimbursements is, I would say, reduced by 1-2 hours / week.

• Our problem before implementing Precoro was a lot of manual tasks, from managing catalogs to creating reports. Now all related processes are in one place, and it's faster to create a purchase order, track it, and get products in time. Also, the overall visibility increased. We can see all purchases and their impacts on our budget. Reports is the most customizable module, so we can get the data we need. Thanks to our CSM for fast onboarding and help!
