Considered Both Products
Worldpay from FIS
Chose Worldpay from FIS
We looked at using Authorize.net and we went with Worldpay because it was most similar to our US backend. If we started from scratch, we would have harmonized and done both US and international on the same gateway as it would have simplified our overall landscape from …
Chose Worldpay from FIS
I have not used any other products like World Pay before.
Chose Worldpay from FIS
As our payment gateway, Authorize.net allowed us to adjust the settings for which customer information we want to verify before the transaction is approved. None of those options are available on WorldPay and they act like we're idiots for even asking. As a result, we've seen a …
Chose Worldpay from FIS
ANYONE would be better than Worldpay. My parent company requires its use. Otherwise, I would have run away screaming a long time ago.
Chose Worldpay from FIS
Vantiv provides many more options in the way of reporting than authorize.net and Paypal. Vantiv also lets you link multiple accounts to one login, which saves a lot of time. I would say that Vantiv's website is less reliable than that of authorize.net or Paypal, which can be …
Chose Worldpay from FIS
We have been using Vantiv for years, and have added other online payment options for other applications as needed. Some payment options are geared more toward donations, others are for mobile payments, others can do a little of both. Vantiv is what we use strictly for our …

Chose PaySimple
I found PaySimple through another company. They offered integrated platforms for invoicing and follow-up questionnaires with our clients. I would never recommend PaySimple to a friend. In my experience, customer service could care less about helping you with a simple name …
Chose PaySimple
+ Clean interface
+ Customer Service easily accessible
- Cost reporting simplicity
Chose PaySimple
PayPal has no monthly but a high transaction fee. PaySimple has a low transaction but high monthly fee. So if you do a lot of transactions (like over 70K/mo) you should consider PaySimple.
Chose PaySimple
The interface is cleaner and more user-friendly.
Chose PaySimple
PaySimple feels a bit more comprehensive of a solution. The timing of invoice processing feels quicker and the bank level encryption feels more secure.
Chose PaySimple
SetMore has a superior booking service, but PaySimple has the best recurring billing platform.
Chose PaySimple
PaySimple has recurring payments and lower monthly fees. You can setup recurring payments which allows you to charge a customer automatically. That saves a lot of time every day. If a charge does not go through after being processed then I get an email right away showing that …
Chose PaySimple
Way better processing, customer service and invoicing with PaySimple.
Chose PaySimple
Authorize.net and a handful of other merchant processors and gateways. Most payment gateways (online portals to process payments) are rudimentary and not extremely intuitive. PaySimple is not and they are constantly coming up with new ways to improve upon an already very …

Worldpay from FISPaySimple
Likelihood to Recommend
World pay from FIS is well suited to help our clients with storing credit cards on file in the software, memberships, offers a variety of payment options, etc. Typically it can be less suited for smaller businesses who are getting better rates from their local banks in town, compared to what World Pay can offer them.

We're a marketing agency and it's worked perfectly for our recurring payment retainers (same amount each month).
It would also work well for a company with a set product line up or a company that wants a more traditional "store" setup.

Pros
  • Vantiv's credit card processing terminal is very straightforward, easy to use, and fast.
  • Vantiv's credit card dispute portal provides beneficial information regarding disputes and chargebacks. Even the customer number associated with the charge is provided, which cuts down on time needed to research conflicts.
  • The Vantiv homepage/dashboard is structured in a very easy to navigate fashion.

  • Their Support is very responsive and helpful. Any time that I have had trouble understanding an email I received from Pay Simple or how to update something on an invoice, I have used the chat feature. The agents are quick and provide great step by step instructions to assist. If they did not have a solution, they assured me it would be submitted as a request to development or let me know when it would be coming.
  • I love the ease of initially beginning/charging a payment (either one time or recurring). It is not time-consuming and is very straightforward which is helpful when entering multiple new payments a day. Everything I need to enter a new payment is directly on the home screen and easy to find.
  • I appreciate the clean layout of the homepage.

Cons
  • The account teams that are assigned are not technical.
  • It can be very hard to get answers if you talk to the wrong person.
  • There is long lead times in account set up.

  • More proactive and empowering role in merchant fee's and alternative processors. Transparency is challenging in understanding Paysimple's role and relationship to the processors.
  • Identifying areas for further value to clients.
  • More targeted small to mid-size business perspective to anticipate growth challenges and prevent blocks on funds for legitimate sales and growth.

As long as Vantiv continues to improve and we can get better responses from customer service, we will likely continue to use Vantiv. However, if customer service declines, we will likely look for something else

Many customer support employees of Vantiv do not seem to know much about the Vantiv website. I have been transferred around to as many as four different people to get an answer to what I thought was a simple question. I am not sure if it would be possible to receive adequate support for a more complex issue.

I found PaySimple through another company. They offered integrated platforms for invoicing and follow-up questionnaires with our clients. I would never recommend PaySimple to a friend. In my experience, customer service could care less about helping you with a simple name change or becoming PCI compliant. The overall cost to our company became unbearable.

Return on Investment
  • Duplicate charges have caused untold damage to our reputation
  • I've spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to fix WP problems with AND without tech support help
  • We switched POS systems from CenterEdge to Roller, but issues persist
  • The problems we experience have been so vast that we will never know the true cost of the negative impact WorldPay has had on our business.

  • Because we've got a really awesome rate with them it's definitely a positive ROI. I can't say what that figure is but it's pretty good. Also, our customers have a huge ROI over their prior way of getting payment from their customers.
