Chose Bloomerang CRM
Bloomerang seems to have a more in depth tracking for constituents than GiveSmart. The reports function seems far superior as well.
We use Bloomerang for every day donations/fundraising efforts. We use GiveSmart for our larger events, such as an annual auction. If we could easily host an auction using Bloomerang, we would, but that is not an option. It is frustrating to use two different systems, but I can …
Network for Good has evolved for many things but still has its feet stuck in the past not to mention that the cost outweighs the benefit. With Bloomerang, we are able to save money and get a better program.
Salesforce is infinitely customizable, but Bloomerang is pretty straightforward and works out of the box. It is simple enough that folks who are not familiar with the robust features of something like Salesforce can hit the ground running. Even as it is simple it is powerful as …
I prefer Network for Good because of features, support, and training. Bloomerang was already the SaaS platform in place when this organization contracted with my service team.
Network for Good is a lot more expensive, as far as I can tell, even for their basic package based on …
We switched from an old version of Donor perfect, anything was a major upgrade from that. But we switched to this because we knew we needed something more up to date and more flexible, but also because we found that they would do all the work of migrating our data for us, we …
DonorPerfect was the clunkiest tool I have ever used and eTapestry was a great upgrade from that, though overly complicated and not nearly agile enough or user-friendly enough for our organization's more general needs. Bloomerang offered an excellent upgrade from there that …
I used a church management software in a similar organization and while it works well for congregations, it did not work well for a small non-profit campus ministry.
It's been a few years since we made the decision to acquire Bloomerang, but I recall that it hit a sweet spot of maximum robustness and ease of use. Some competing products we reviewed either were not as robust in function, or required a higher software acumen than the average …
We left DonorPerfect for Bloomerang. I had come from an organization that used Raisers Edge and there was no way I was going to stay with DP. RE is great for larger organizations with staff dedicated to the database, but we were a much smaller organization and needed to have …
We used Constant Contact for newsletters before we got Bloomerang. I appreciate being able to use the same program to communicate and track constituents.
Bloomerang's dashboard, conceptual design based on donor retention and user-friendliness made it more appealing. The relative cost-value was hands down better than it's competitors. The sales team was highly knowledgable and customer support was and is outstanding.
Bloomerang is not as robust as Blackbaud's Raisers Edge, but it's also not as costly. I find Bloomerang much more user friendly to the novice, but again, it doesn't offer many of the things the full version of Raisers Edge does.
We were using a giant Excel spreadsheet to manage our donor and mailing lists, and constant contact as our email server. We had a third list in our accounting software, Aplos. Now, we have all our constituents in a safe place where we can manage all their information easily …
Bloomerang is not as low-cost as Little Green Light, but out-performed that option on the ease of implementation and the easy of the user interface. Bloomerang does not have as much power or as many features as Salesforce of Blackbaud. And Bloomerang does not have as many …
Bloomerang does not have all the bells as whistles. It is a very paired down system compared to Blackbaud. However, Bloomerang is significantly cheaper and easier to use. If you only have one employee, it would be a good solution.
I have used two Blackbaud products in the past and found them to be clunky and time-consuming databases. They may be fine for a large nonprofit that can devote resources to entire development departments, but we are a small and nimble organization that favors smooth simplicity.
Bloomerang offers a cost effective donor database solution for small nonprofits. If offers all the basic tools to track donations, segment databases, and become a one stop for development operational pieces. The fact that it is cloud based and can be accessed from anywhere …
We previously used Network for Good to process online donations and to sell event tickets, but Flipcause has proven much better at meeting our needs. I prefer the Flipcause interface and functionality, especially for event registrations. We have also used PayPal and PayPal Here …
I can't speak to Bloomerang's functionality for a very large organization, but for a small-to-midsize non-profit, I don't know what else you'd need! Need to register volunteers, or sell tickets, or generate e- or print communications, or pull donor data? Bloomerang does it. Bloomerang is my third CRM tool in my current organization and it is vastly superior in almost every way to the others that came before.
If you are doing this for fun, and don't actually need the money that you raise through Flipcause, they're great, but if you need the funds to, say, run payroll or pay rent, do not even THINK of using them. You will spend a lot of time tearing your hair out, and sending yet another email begging them to transfer funds
Website integration for online donations is awesome! It makes it so much easier to raise money online. We've tripled the amount of money we raise online, mainly because of this and the ability to send emails through the system.
Emails are tracked directly in a donor's record, so we can see instantly their engagement with our content.
Integration with DonorSearch is awesome and seems to be improving often.
They listen to their customers' needs. If enough customers request a feature, they'll get it for us. We feel like the development of this software is always happening and it's a partnership, rather than a transaction.
#1 - I am very happy with the product and support so far. #2 - With significant data migration costs, I wouldn't even consider another option for at least 3 years no matter how much better it might be.
Data and settings are very customizable to fit the needs of our organization. We are able to not only keep track of donations, but also other interactions we may have with a constituent. Support is extremely helpful when issues arise.
Any time i had a problem or question it has been easy to find an answer or tutorial. When I cannot find an answer, it is easy to email or live chat with support and they resolve my problems very quickly.
Flipcause has amazingly responsive customer support staff and "Success Teams." When you sign up, your Success Manager makes sure you have all the information and support needed to get up and running quickly and easily. Your Success Team will happily provide support on an on-going basis as needed, although we have not needed much support due to the easy-to-use interface
Salesforce is infinitely customizable, but Bloomerang is pretty straightforward and works out of the box. It is simple enough that folks who are not familiar with the robust features of something like Salesforce can hit the ground running. Even as it is simple it is powerful as far as showing visuals that can help fundraising staff more clearly understand where the organization is and what donors they can next target for upcoming campaigns.
We previously used Network for Good to process online donations and to sell event tickets, but Flipcause has proven much better at meeting our needs. I prefer the Flipcause interface and functionality, especially for event registrations. We have also used PayPal and PayPal Here to collect donations online and in person. While these are trusted and recognizable for our donors, they are only useful for collecting donations and do not have easily customizable donation receipts.
Because my organization has been using Bloomerang for only one year, we haven't yet studied what impact it has had on our ROI. We have, however, noted that we are able to more efficiently and more rapidly communicate with constituents now than we were able to before we had Bloomerang. We can quickly and efficiently generate acknowledgements and tax receipts - and do so - better than we ever did before.
