Forcepoint Email Security vs. Tessian Cloud Email Security Platform

I have been working for years with Forcepoint--they have the ultimate package in terms of integration of DLP and mail security

While we saw some benefit from Tessian early on, it quickly became apparent that it was unnecessary. This was exacerbated by issues the program caused our Outlook clients, who felt we did not get the attention and assistance required to continue using Tessian in our environment.

• The Outlook Add-In broke several systems during use.
• There are many changes to the account reps and engineers assigned to us. As a result, we lost touch with Tessian.
• Lack of knowledge and help from Support during times when the Add-In was disrupting users.

Pretty straight forward for the users and admins. Some terminology takes a little time to learn for the admin, functionally seems rock solid.

While the Cisco Email was a close second, the customization of the Forcepoint Email Security policies and reports is what won us over.

Egress is a very capable product, likely on-par with Tessian as a fraction of the cost. I will be giving them a deep review this year

• Even though Forcepoint solution is targeted high in terms of price, the added value it provides to an organization by securing their system in web and mail is tremendous
