Gemini vs. PTC Windchill RV&S

As I described in the initial use case, Mac storage is a premium, so having a tool that helps your storage stay clean is incredibly useful. Almost always, duplicates are wasted space, so Gemini is a single purpose tool that helps you identify duplicates easily for quick clean up of your Mac's hard drive. Point of fact, it'll help clean up your cloud storage space too, if you select your cloud sync folders on your machine as well!

We enjoy doing requirement mappings. The enhancement in transferring them between models is great. It is for innovation all the time a challenge to conduct them. We have two major scenarios for that task set. One is to integrate already well-validated models into greater sets. The other is defining totally new ones. We developed new strategies and refined the existing ones. We rate the synching requirement configurations as comfortable. The processes of synching the items back to the models. The major advantage is to optionally synchronize all-important and intended traceability relationships from Modeler so that both can be given the correct right the right group of uses while others only see the structures. We too prefer the handling of deletion and creation. It is a real advantage how the mapping and relation are implemented. The implemented integration to third-party tools for requirements definition and management is a plus. We like the profiling features and the high compliance to industrial standards as well as the module variability modeling.Windchill RV&S makes us perform better and let us take over control. It enhances our return-of-investment efficiencies to the top. The only drawbacks are the high skill levels needed and the necessary relation in businesses to make the profits. Another topic is the resources that are needed.

• File De-Duplication - Gemini does a great job of finding files that are bit-for-bit identical to each other. Typically these are caused by user replication, and Gemini sniffs them out and displays them for easy user decisions.
• Similar Photo identification - Got a lot of similar photos, but not the exact same one? That's ok, this is a huge source of wasted space, and Gemini can deal with these too. If you're a "spray and pray" type of photographer, Gemini will help you clean up near-duplicate photos, helping you keep only the best.
• Fast File Triage - Once Gemini has identified all these duplicates, what do you do with them? Gemini helps you triage the list of duplicates and easily decide which copies to keep. This is handy if you want to keep all files in the X folder, but not in the Y folder.

• It allows the user the ability to link all aspects of the SDLC together so that there is only one source of documentation and information rather than having to search in multiple places.

• Sometimes when I search for an Ad Group, duplicates appear. But when I go into the Campaign and look for the Ad Group, there is only one.
• The line in which it says which Campaign and then Ad Group you are in should be frozen so that it would easier to select the Campaign to go back & then into a different Ad Group.
• You can't search for a keyword by its affiliate id. That is extremely frustrating. When I search for a keyword by its name, it brings up all keywords with that name, no matter what match type it has.

• Main trunk is not protected and has no pre-conditions before committing a fix or feature to it.

Gemini's development team continues to improve the product and provides a comprehensive roadmap of upcoming features that makes you want to upgrade as soon as a new version comes out.

I do not make decisions on what tool my company uses. I am just the user of the tool and such decisions are not handled by me. If I were to make such decisions, I would definitely renew MKS, considering the amount of data we have stored in MKS and the current number of users who are familiar with the system

PTC Integrity comparatively could be considered a nice Source code management, Version controlling tool and could be compared with tools like StarTeam. If the integration to move/migrate code could be integrated into this tool, it would become an extremely powerful tool.

I've never had any problems with the support for the Gemini application itself, but it seems every time I re-install (on a single machine), I run into a licensing issue. As a result, I need to go to the app's website and request that my activation key gets reset or resent. In either case, it's a pain, but as I have to reinstall infrequently, it's a small price to pay for an otherwise solid application.

PTC Integrity administration can be somewhat daunting. They have been able to help with every question that I have submitted. Their support website is very easy to understand and submit questions and their phone support is wonderful

Gemini is more cost-effective than Project Server. It is easy to configure and easy to use

There are some tools which are available for free like GitHub. I've used StarTeam when it was a product of Borland, and while using PTC Integrity, I feel PTC Integrity has most of the features which were available in StarTeam. Although there are some other free tools like Tortoise SVN, it's always better to stick with tools which are licensed and supported in case of any issues/problems.

• Updating the bids was quick and efficient.
• Dealing with the duplicate ad groups when searching for them was frustrating and complicated.
• It took time to go through the campaign and then search for the ad group to discover no duplicates.
• Not being able to search by the affiliate id also meant that it took me longer to update the bids for the keywords because I had to check to see which match type it was before updating.

• Better efficiency ....PTC Integrity can help keep track of a globally managed project structure. This will go far in helping keep repeat and duplicate efforts from happening multiple times.
