I am using above mentioned software on different clients. As for manufacturing client Genius Solutions ERP is good easy to maintain inventory, For BOM Creation its help. As per our need this software provides us valuable information and helps the business growing smoothly. …
Genius had a far better implementation team and had everything we were looking for without having to super customize a product. The implementation was also far easier than expected due to their ability to manipulate spreadsheets and import them in. We are glad we went with …
A lot of reports or filters to suit all needs and the possibility to customize them.
You can export a whole, make changes and import the whole. For example, making changes in some BOMs, etc.
Have automatic reports every morning with the necessary information.
Quickbooks is more user friendly and intuitive but can be clunky when dealing hard chunks of data. Morever, I did not operate a cloud based solution like Intacct and this is key in my report.
Sage is by far the worst program I have ever used in the construction industry. It has the capability to be a wonderful program for an entire organization but it severely lacks user interface. For instance, Their field reports section has a character limit. That's …
500 seems much smoother at handling some of the basic accounting tasks, for example both issuing and later reconciling checks in Dynamics AX seems a little tedious.
Genius is well suited to our fabrication business as it covers all sections that need to be addressed in one program e.g. shipping, receiving, Sales orders, Purchase orders, invoicing, Employee clocking times from the scanning machine. easy to navigate between modules where needed once you know how.
Sage is wonderful for payroll and employee management. Although it has the capabilities to be a one-stop-shop program, it seriously lacks the interface necessary for wide use. I've had to consult Sage professionals on numerous occasions to explain and walk me through the program as there are so many redundancies. This program has wonderful potential, but they need to update the software and user interface before I can recommend it to any colleague.
The application is very functional, but the interface is a little "stale" compared to more modern applications.
The underlying client software is written in an old version of Microsoft Visual Basic. I suppose SOME DAY, Microsoft will be discontinuing, although Microsoft has its own ERP software written in that same code.
Genius is easy to use but you have to male sure it's set up properly. You also have to make sure you understand what an ERP should do to know the right questions to ask when you contact customer support.
I have been using Intacct for almost 10 years in 2 different companies and I just simply love it. I tried SAP (GUI) and Netsuite and they dont come close to what Ive seen.
Keep your database and application in different servers. Install Microsoft Office on your application server so you can use some of the data analysis tools in Sage.
Genius had a far better implementation team and had everything we were looking for without having to super customize a product. The implementation was also far easier than expected due to their ability to manipulate spreadsheets and import them in. We are glad we went with Genius due to the flow of the software and the syncable database. The main thing missed about Quickbooks is the ability to easily fix mistakes by deleting transactions or edit them even after they posted. This however made financials less reliable
