Chose Fortra's Globalscape Enhanced File Transfer (EFT)
Globalscape and Automate are similar. However, with Automate, you do not have PGP or SSH keyring functionality within the application. You would need to purchase and install them separately. So as far as organization I like Globalscape for key retainment. Globalscape's …

Globalscape EFT is more intuitive and easier to create file transmission rules and troubleshoot than the other software applications we have used in the past or evaluated. Globalscape EFT has the ability to easily locate the status of file transmissions along with the ability …
MOVEit Transfer handles our customers' uploads with the exception of customers who upload large files. We have found Signiant to be a much better solution for large files whereas MOVEit Transfer continue to manage the overwhelming majority of our customer data.
MOVEit automation is configured easily and safely along with a great UI compared to others. We rely on MOVEit to provide the transmission of daily, weekly, and monthly files fast. Not only can this configuration be done locally, but also through a browser.
We previously used Attunity MFT (Formerly Repliweb MFT); We were looking to move away from the platform becuase, while flexible, it was too flexible. The flexibility was gained by running scripts with each job to do what you want. So, not only did you have to define the job …
I haven't used many other file transfer automation software unless it was code I wrote in a bash, batch, vb, C# or powershell script. I can confidently say that if presented with another product I wouldn't move away from MOVEit. The system if very solid and feature rich.
We've been using MOVEIt for years and after several assessments, we felt that it was an unnecessary cost and lift to try and move away from the platform, given that it was meeting all of our current business needs. As the company grows, we will continue to assess whether MOVEIt …
We started using Box a while ago and we are thinking of exchanging MOVEit with Box when it comes to customer and suppliers file transfers. However, there is some reticence in doing that right now, our IT feels more comfortable form the security point of view with MOVEit. …
I feel the product is best suited for companies that have more that 15 file transmissions. Globalscape has active replication (node) for offloading heavy transmission to another node. If you are not using encryption and your transmissions are less than 15, although the product is capable it may not be worth the investment on return. Globalscape is a very powerful file transmission application it better to leverage all the great facets of security and reliability.
Its exceptional at moving files from their source to various destinations and integrates well with the MoveIt Transfer piece. I have over 250 tasks defined in MoveIt to automate file movements from all different areas of business. I wouldn't recommend MoveIt if you need to do some advanced file parsing / maniuplation. While it does do basic manipulations, there are easier ways to do it.
Ipswitch MOVEit is very easy to use. Once a user logs into the website they can send a package or email to an other user or someone outside the organization. This has a similar look and feel to a web based email service.
For users that are not part of our organization Ipswitch MOVEit effortlessly can create a new account and provide that users with an email and activation instructions. IT does not need to be involved with setting up users.
Temporary users are controlled by a policy that will disable and remove accounts based on setting set by administrators. This is a great way to make sure old accounts are removed when not used.
Would like to see the ability for a rule in EFT to link the the Advanced Workflow that it is called (rather than having to manually locate the Advanced Workflow)
Would like the ability to disable just a part of an Event Rule
Would like to see more template creation functionality
Globalscape EFT is more intuitive and easier to create file transmission rules and troubleshoot than the other software applications we have used in the past or evaluated. Globalscape EFT has the ability to easily locate the status of file transmissions along with the ability to locate what any file transmission issue may be and easily resolve.

Everything has been positive. It has limited the need to code for file transfers or manually move files which has in turn granted users more time to focus on other tasks.
