GoCardless
Chose GoCardless
GoCardless sends an email when a customer signs up in the portal which is crucial. We have many issues with not knowing when a customer has signed up to make a payment. GoCardless is seamless with a checkbox that makes this function possible. Our other software does not do …

Chose GoCardless
We didn't research a lot of platforms as GoCardless offered pretty much everything we were looking for, i.e low cost, easy to use & implement.
Chose GoCardless
It stacks up well against Stripe but I think they serve different purposes. Stripe is better when it comes to integrations, GoCardless is great for recurring payments, particularly for service-based businesses.
Chose GoCardless
GoCardless provides a simple way to take one-off card payments or set up direct debits for customers. Payment links can be included on electronic invoices, and certainly, from a UK perspective, it provides a more professional appearance than using, say, PayPal for …
Chose GoCardless
For direct debit it is superb. Integration is much easier, and it supports the different strands of our company's UK and European payments landscape.
Chose GoCardless
Gocardless had no integration or monthly fees. You only pay for what you use. Windcave has monthly fees (and a setup fee).
Chose GoCardless
[GoCardless has] lower fees and is easier to use.

Skrill has better support, mobile app interface and usability, the card works better and the transfer times are quicker. Moreover the functions of the app are easy to use and manage. Transfers and withdrawals are very quick. The mobile app and the card are the strong points of …
Chose Skrill
Skrill is cheaper and seems simpler, most times, but perhaps lacks some advanced features that cause us to end up using another vendor.
Chose Skrill
Skrill does an excellent job for the completion of monetary transactions abroad and it fares very well if I have to send a moderate amount of money. It offers zero transfer fees and a competitive exchange rate with ACH bank to bank transfers and fund transfers funded by debit …

Paypal doesn't work on some countries and Skrill helped me a lot about this issue
Chose Skrill
Receiving and transmitting money might be difficult for a solo owner, especially when operating in a different time zone, or even in a different nation. Unless you have everything sealed with a signature or stamp, local bank account online banking won't help much. Not to …
Chose Skrill
I use different payment systems depending on the goal. Skrill is good when my contractor prefers this way of payment. Also, Skrill is a preferred payment option in many online services, which makes it easy to use. Also, Skrill issues a real plastic Visa card you can use like …

I think it's a great payment gateway for small businesses which are new to the business and looking for something low budget & an easy-to-use platform to begin accepting the payments. It does streamline the cash flow & gives good visibility to payment status but sometimes it takes 3-4 days in the reconciliation of balances which might not be suitable for businesses looking to have a quick turn-around-time of balances.

What I like best about Skrill is that it allows me to conduct international transactions without having to go through cumbersome deposit and withdrawal processes. I can transfer money to anyone in the globe who has a Skrill account, and they may withdraw it to their bank account with ease. I can also instantly add and take funds from my Skrill account. When it comes to internet transactions, SKrill has been a huge assistance. Removing the most inconvenient process of forming banks online, transferring money that takes days to authenticate, and landing into the recipient's account with extra paperwork required to withdraw money from a bank account.

  • Skrill needs full verification for big transactions. I think they should increase the limit.
  • Users need to have a European residential address verified in order to get the MasterCard. This facility should be open worldwide.
  • The currency exchange rates aren’t good in Skrill.

Usability
It has a good web dashboard, you can see who has paid, who hasn’t, when payments will be taken from client and when they will arrive in the bank account

Because it's simple to use, works well since we have first set it up and we never had any issues with it.

Support Rating
There is no phone support, email only, and the support is slow coming. The support staff often don't read your support query properly, so you waste time having to re-explain yourself. That is the only downside of this product.
