Chose GoCardless
GoCardless sends an email when a customer signs up in the portal which is crucial. We have many issues with not knowing when a customer has signed up to make a payment. GoCardless is seamless with a checkbox that makes this function possible. Our other software does not do …
GoCardless better fit Kanopy's needs for the following reasons: (1) desire to decrease credit card payments which carry higher costs, (2) single payment solution for 12+ countries via direct debit at no fees for customers, and (3) better customer integration potential for …
It stacks up well against Stripe but I think they serve different purposes. Stripe is better when it comes to integrations, GoCardless is great for recurring payments, particularly for service-based businesses.
GoCardless provides a simple way to take one-off card payments or set up direct debits for customers. Payment links can be included on electronic invoices, and certainly, from a UK perspective, it provides a more professional appearance than using, say, PayPal for …
These are linked to each other. There are multiple systems you have to use. One takes the credit card info and runs it and one puts the money into your account. It would be better to have one that does it all, if it exists. WePay seems to be one of the most commonly used …
WePay directly integrates with Classy and that was our sole reason for switching from iATS. iATS has several features but is also fairly complex. iATS has a great customer support team to help though. If we were not required to switch payment processors by Classy, I don't know …
There are many other services that provide similar things, such as Stripe. However, when I evaluate these marketplace payment providers, I look at who their current users are and in this case, WePay has provided services to many other high-volume payment customers.
PayPal has it's own niche, and have more stand alone options, but they are confusing to navigate unless you are in their system a lot. Integration can take a lot more time to do and test out. Plus WePay charges less than PayPal does which in this case is an advantage.
WePay is friendlier to the customer than Stripe or PayPal - so much easier to sign up for and use. Standard gateways are more flexible - they provide many more options on pricing, and the ability to choose the underlying processor - which is great, but also significantly more …
Wepay is easier to use, and fees are less, however, authorize.net processed payments quickly and deducted fees before payments were made to our account.
I think it's a great payment gateway for small businesses which are new to the business and looking for something low budget & an easy-to-use platform to begin accepting the payments. It does streamline the cash flow & gives good visibility to payment status but sometimes it takes 3-4 days in the reconciliation of balances which might not be suitable for businesses looking to have a quick turn-around-time of balances.
If you need a basic payment processor for credit card transactions with low fees/rates, WePay will work just fine. We wish it had the ability to process multiple transactions through the use of a credit card swiper or at least an easier/faster solution than having to re-fill out the transaction page on the website over and over. This could be a limitation due to our integration with Classy
It has a good web dashboard, you can see who has paid, who hasn’t, when payments will be taken from client and when they will arrive in the bank account
There is no phone support, email only, and the support is slow coming. The support staff often don't read your support query properly, so you waste time having to re-explain yourself. That is the only downside of this product.
GoCardless better fit Kanopy's needs for the following reasons: (1) desire to decrease credit card payments which carry higher costs, (2) single payment solution for 12+ countries via direct debit at no fees for customers, and (3) better customer integration potential for company website portal and A/R 3rd party tool.
