I am still relatively new to my organization, and we were already set up with Classy before I got here. However, I know that they explored many other options, and Classy was chosen unanimously. We find it so helpful to have regular calls with a Classy representative, as it's …

We decided to move from iATS Payments to Classy for a couple of reasons. The 3 biggest reasons were the variety of payment options for donors, the self-service donation portal, and the breadth of donation page/campaign templates.

I have not used any other platforms like Classy. Given I came into this organization after Classy was already chosen, I was pleased with how easy it was to learn the platform and how user-friendly the entire thing is. Although I haven't used any other platforms like it, I would …

In the past, we used Click and Pledge which was super customizable (if you knew how to code) and pretty simple. It was lacking in the peer-to-peer/crowdfunding areas and was TERRIBLE on the support side, which we realized we needed fairly often. Classy was more expensive but …
Chose GoFundMe Pro
We feel that Classy is superior to other options, but I also must admit that we're a small non-profit, so we haven't used a lot of other services at this time. Nevertheless, we highly recommend Classy for a wide range of purposes in the non-profit realm. It surely stacks well …

We left TeamRaiser to go to Classy. With everything, there are tradeoffs. TeamRaiser is more feature rich, but harder to use.

Classy is light-years ahead of DonorPerfect when it comes to creating customized pages for fundraising. DP's system was archaic and always looked like a 1990's MySpace page. Classy looks relevant and conveys more trust for our donors.

CrowdRise has been better overall for us. They are both very similar, but CrowdRise was cheaper for our needs and integrated with more of the other software that we used. You can't go wrong with either, but we prefer CrowdRise over Classy. However, Classy has more expertise and …

Classy is much better than Eventbrite but is far behind Cvent in terms of an event platform. Classy is mainly for peer to peer, but they rolled out an event function that works okay but is missing some key features, like the ability to send an invitation out through the …

I have not used or evaluated any other products like Classy. This was the system our nonprofit was using when I was hired. We have found no reason to look to other platforms as Classy has been invaluable to us. We really value Classy, and we are not looking to switch any time …

NOTE: The platform we used prior to Classy was actually FrontStream-Firstgiving (not Panorama), but that was not listed. Classy is a much more dynamic platform, allowing us to take advantage of all that online registration and fundraising has to offer.
Chose GoFundMe Pro
Classy is the first and only fundraising platform we have integrated since inception.
Chose GoFundMe Pro
It was a huge mistake to switch away from Classy to FrontStream Panorama. Classy is much easier to use and much simpler to design. While FrontStream can be a bit more customized in its design it requires extensive knowledge of HTML or CSS coding, which is not ideal for a small …

I prefer Splash to Eventbrite because the UI is so much more beautiful. With Splash it's as if you hired a website designer to create a custom landing page for every event. It also has the ability to run virtual events with its integration with Zoom. Event brite's UI is just a …

My current company leverages Marketo, but I do not use it personally.
Chose Splash
I like Splash better than Marketo for registration pages because Marketo doesn't have all the same functionality. They do link to each other which helps but in Marketo we couldn't cap registrations and that for us is a must.

Chose Splash
We are using Splash Event Marketing because of the design, user flow and insights we can gain that were not as intuitive on other platforms.
Chose Splash
The only other option we have internally is an internal CMS page creation that doesn't allow for any kind of creative freedom. SplashThat lets us use our imagination to create landing pages that fit our branding and event themes.

Splash was selected due to its user-friendly ease.
Chose Splash
We initially tried out and Cevent and Eventbrite, but these did not come close to the solution we were looking for and found in Splash.
Chose Splash
Eventbrite has a clumsy platform and it doesn't allow the user to create branded event pages or custom designs.

The only other event platform that I used was Eventbrite. The huge advantage of Splash was its design capabilities. Eventbrite gives a very generic invitation, whereas Splash is much more versatile design-wise.

Better looking invites than Marketo. We still prefer Eventbrite for our larger summits and conferences. Less heavy uplift and administrative tasks on Eventbrite. The UI is easier to use and the analytics and reports are better.

Well suited for organizations with large fundraising programs or many recurring donors, especially those who have the staffing to devote to reporting and fundraising data analysis. Variety of payment options is good for mobile-first or younger audiences who may be taking more frequent advantage of payment methods like Venmo and Apple Pay. Most useful if it is used in tandem as an event registration/event hosting platform (Classy Event Registration or Classy Live) as attendee data and fundraising is kept in a single place. Less appropriate for smaller organizations, or folks that will not be doing crowdfunding/peer-to-peer/events. There are other platforms that do standard donation pages well that have fewer bells and whistles but are accordingly cheaper.

When we first started using Splash Event Marketing Platform, the platform showed great promise and worked well for our team’s needs. However, over the past year, we’ve encountered issue after issue—many of which are described by support as problems “no one else has ever experienced.” Unfortunately, this has happened frequently, making it difficult to trust the platform for consistent execution.

Pros
  • The Classy platform is easy to use, both for the staff and our volunteer fundraisers
  • It's easy to build a great looking fundraising page
  • Classy support (particularly chat and phone) are attentive and responsive. Every one there is smart and nice!

  • Their support team is very friendly and helpful. They get back to me within a couple of hours and have lots of resources to help remotely.
  • I like being able to check people in on mobile.
  • Their templates make it easy to design something cool. I'm not a trained designer, but using Splash templates lets me create cool invitations that look very well designed.

Cons
  • Campaigns lack customization options which can be limiting- while you can add code to make some changes, there is a basic framework that you can't always override.
  • Slow to roll out some donor payment options like Venmo.
  • Not inexpensive price point and on an annual contract, so the software is definitely an investment.

  • When designing a landing page for an event, the functionality of the layout page is quite finicky. I would love to see the ability to add features to certain text boxes become more fluid.
  • The formatting across the layout page is not always consistent, specifically text sizing.
  • I had an issue with an account, and the support team took an extremely long time (2+ months) to produce a remedy for the issue I was experiencing.

Because easy to interface and easy to manage Splash platform and individual event platform and easy to integrate with third party software such as Adobe Marketo and others softwares. Easy to maintain status and easy to relate with Salesforce campaign through Marketo . Useful in lead capturing and generation and so on we can enable business through splash.

Usability
VERY easy to use, but lacks flexibility. But very easy to learn and master, even for someone with technical skills. They offer live chat which is a great help for on-demand support. At higher call volumes, you may wait 10 minutes, but I’ve never waited for more than that and the support if 90% of the time very helpful.

The platform works, and it is a good system. I think there is always room for improvement. and I would like to see them up their client resolutions when it comes to problems with using the system. and see them take a more aggressive approach to addressing the clients changing needs

Classy's team was very helpful as we transitioned over, and helped us get everything set up quite easily. The few times we've had issues or questions, their online chat feature has been a quick way to get answers. On Giving Tuesday last year, the site went down, but Classy was quick with communication to its clients and had the problem resolved in about an hour. I know that if we have any problems or questions, the company and its team will be responsive and helpful. That makes a difference to me and our small team. We don't have time to troubleshoot or stay on hold for a long time waiting for support.

We love working with our account manager and priority support to answer questions efficiently and speedily. Our account manager works with us on larger and bigger picture initiatives for our instance, where the priority support is always there when you're stuck with a feature or setup, it's been great to share this resource with our global network of hosts internal and external to the company.

We used to use Eventbrite to manage our events before we were switched into using Splash. It was much easier to use, had a consistent usability structure for creating events and getting users to sign up. While it wasn't as customizable in terms of the landing page or email design, it did the job without any issues. We didn't necessarily select to use Splash, but our event coordinators at Hubspot chose the platform for us! If we could go back, we would.

Return on Investment
  • This has been nothing but positive. We use the basic version so there is no fee associated with it other than a percentage of each transaction. So everything that comes in is added revenue where the only investment is staff time, but there is no monetary investment.

  • Positive: We've now been able to track whether people who attend our events eventually become donors to our organization, which is HUGE for measuring event ROI and the time horizons for a donation.
  • Negative: Can't think of any negative impacts on our business objectives. It solves the problem it is designed for, and continues to improve.
