Considered Both Products
GoodData
Chose GoodData
GoodData is much more customisable in our case so we choose this. Also when it comes to pricing part GoodData is the best economically as well and in terms of features and functionalities. As compared to others similar products I believe that GoodData is much more reliable with …
Chose GoodData
GoodData is much more focused on our use case of embedding into an existing web product, and their licensing was far more suitable for this.
Chose GoodData
GoodData has been proven best for us as it has given the most accurate analytical insights on our data. I've used other tools too but no one has been this good in terms of reporting, handling data, decision making.
Using GoodData for almost every organisational decision and …
Chose GoodData
GoodData comparing to other platform is very easy to use, customer support and on-boarding support. Set of features, speed of integration in our platform. Also great benefit for us was very competetive pricing.
Chose GoodData
All of the tools have their plusses and minuses. The one thing that stands out with Qlik is that it allows for two-way API integrations with Salesforce. This means that analytics reporting results can interact with the Salesforce application.
Chose GoodData
The primary reasons GoodData was selected was data modeling capability, ability to standardize complex metrics, quality of viaualization and multi-tenancy
Chose GoodData
GoodData has been cost effective and flexible.
Chose GoodData
The hosted GoodData platform is simple to set up and provides a clean dashboarding experience that can be shared with users easily. Other products can often try to fill the self-service and dashboard roles in one interface which can be a bit full on.
Chose GoodData
GoodData provides the largest amount of OOB features that meet our end-user needs. It means a lot that we don't need to perform development on our own. At some point, it may make sense to take items in house, but its hte best current fit.
Chose GoodData
N\A, I wasn't the one comparing the possibilities between the different products.

Microsoft Power BI, Tableau Cloud and Looker
Chose GoodData
I have used all softwares in my past 10 years of experience. GoodData stands out with its seamless data integration, advanced predictive analytics, and collaborative features. Unlike Tableau and Power BI, GoodData offers scalable solutions with a user-friendly interface for …
Chose GoodData
Choosing between GoodData and other platforms was clear for me as the superiority of GoodData over others due to our needs. GoodData stands out for its awesome dashboards, robust predictive analytics, reports, and analysis. Data integration helps us for business intelligence …
Chose GoodData
Tableau is fantastic for visuals, and Zoho Analytics is user-friendly, but GoodData takes the cake with its seamless integration and powerful analytics. It stacks up well because it's not just about pretty graphs but it's about making data work for you. It's the perfect fit for …
Chose GoodData
GoodData is best among every other platform I used because it's a cloud based platform and way to easy to use. Its robust predictive analytics and unified data view set it way apart. While Power BI and Tableau excel in visualization, GoodData's focus on comprehensive business …
Chose GoodData
GoodData was more cost effective and did not necessitate additional spend on internal resources. The end user interface was easy to use and did not require additional set up or customization. The clients required little support from the Prometric staff to use the product.
Chose GoodData
I was involved in the decision making but not final decision maker. Ease of implementation for GoodData vs Cognos (used for 15 years in multiple companies). I think Tableau's visualizations are better, but there is much that just can't be done in Tableau that GoodData handles …
Chose GoodData
Klipfolio is excellent for non-embedded, non-distributed use cases, where GoodData covers those use cases.
Chose GoodData
GoodData's advantage in real-time data processing compared to Power BI can be attributed to several factors:
  • Immediate Data Insights
  • Better Handling of High-Velocity Data:
Chose GoodData
I was only involved with the final selection and did not actually go into detail on other platforms, I did confirm the findings of my colleague, but I did have a hand in the final decision.
Chose GoodData
The developer who chose GoodData really liked the visualizations that were included and the metrics that we could edit and change.
Chose GoodData
Looker and GoodData are both powerful BI platforms, but they have distinct strengths. Looker offers seamless integration with Google Sheets, enabling easy data import and analysis. On the other hand, GoodData excels in data modeling, providing a user-friendly interface for …
SAS Visual Analytics
Chose SAS Visual Analytics
I have chosen SAS Visual Analytics because one of my colleagues suggests using the software for the same for our work. As earlier, we use to take a lot of time in analyzing the data but after using the SAS Visual Analytics software our work has improved and time has decreased. …
Chose SAS Visual Analytics
I have used Crystal Reports, Jaspersoft and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). I would recommended Business Intelligence over SSRS and Crystal Reports. SSRS is very SQL-centric and Crystal Reports is more of an end-user tool. I would recommend Jaspersoft over Business …
Chose SAS Visual Analytics
We already have lot of SAS products in our organisation like Base SAS, SAS Grid, SAS EG, SAS Studio and Office Add-in. SAS VA works best for our situation.
Chose SAS Visual Analytics
I have used SAP Lumira as well. The reason for me to use both software is to see the user experience. With Lumira, it was easy for me to visualize data and data storytelling and with SAS it was easy for me to create an algorithm as I wanted them to be. SAS software allows me to …
Chose SAS Visual Analytics
Price and features we looked at seemed consistent. We chose this product because our staff already knew the product, plus users at the state had recommended it as it is what they use.
Chose SAS Visual Analytics
I have used Tableau desktop for which free access is provided for a limited time with limited features. Tableau is visually more appealing than SAS VA but SAS VA can handle data better. My use of Tableau with limited features may have effected my viewpoint.
Chose SAS Visual Analytics
SAS visual analytics has high sped LASR servers mounted on Hadoop filesystems which makes it more powrful for analytics.
Chose SAS Visual Analytics
We use both. But SAS is always the starting point to all analytics projects. It is a wider array of products and features. Gives robust results and reporting is easier. There is always this one or two things for which you turn to some other products to fill the holes.
Chose SAS Visual Analytics
There is no contest. SAS is easier maintain and has much more in the way of analytics than MicroStrategy has. It can pull from more than one data source and when the underlying architecture changes, it is much easier to maintain. More savvy analysts can perform more with SAS …

If you have consistently formatted data, that you want regular reports on, plus flexibility to let end users build their own reports, GoodData is perfect. Especially if your end users are less technical. If you want to be able to embed your reporting into your app, GoodData excels, though the start up process can be involved. If your data structure varies, it could be more challenging to integrate. It may also not be worth the integration if you have people who can already run their own SQL queries.

SAS Business Intelligence is more suited to organizations which are already using SAS as the primary software for their analytics needs. Learning curve is relatively shorter for teams already skilled in BASE SAS. For organizations already working with open source software like Julia and Python, it doesn't make much sense to use SAS BI.

Pros
  • GoodData helps in simplifying complex data into easy-to-understand visuals. We can create personalized dashboards & tailor them as per requirements. This data can be used from an executive level employee to a team lead employee in the business
  • GoodData is a very user friendly platform. The collaborative features simplify sharing and discussing reports among team members which promotes a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • GoodData connects with various data sources and consolidate information from multiple platforms. This flexibility proves invaluable for businesses dealing with data spread across different systems as they can access large amount of data on a single platform.

  • SAS BI makes it very easy to create interactive dashboards even for someone who is not from an IT background. For some specific requirements, basic knowledge of SQL is good enough.
  • A lot of functions have been predefined which makes it very convenient to create dashboards and reports. One doesn't need to be from an IT or a programming background to understand and create dashboards.
  • It supports other programming languages like R and also has a seamless API integration with various data management platforms.

Cons
  • would be nice to be able to add the same filter to a multi-tab dashboard once instead of having to do it for each tab; tedious and time consuming
  • Variable use is kind of clunky and would like to be able to hide/show easier
  • The newer insight based dashboard method does not have the flexibility classic does

  • Business Objects should provide a more consistent mobile/desktop interface so operation between the two is seamless
  • Business Objects needs to make it easier to query across disparate data sets such as Oracle to SQL to Mongo DB
  • Our installation of Business Objects does not natively allow the export of XLSX documents, only XLS

Likelihood to Renew
Each client I have worked with and spoken too has renewed their GoodData subscription. I know of not one to date that has cancelled. The GoodData platform has a very high rate of renewal from the discussions I have had with their internal teams as well

There is no other product that can match SAS. There are some products that can compare to ETL but lack the analytics that SAS has. Others can perform a limited set of analytical procedures but lack the data processing that comes with SAS. Using thin client allows users to access data whenever they have an internet connection.

Usability
GoodData provided us with strong overall usability and provided us a platform for various business analytics. Its user-friendly and insightful reports and also the dashboards. Me and my team really appreciate the platform's ability to streamline decision-making processes. However, there is a learning curve during initial setup as I mentioned before. Continuous improvements in the onboarding could further enhance GoodData's usability as well.

SAS BI is good for creating reports and dashboards and then sharing it with the users. It also has ability to manage access to the reports and dashboards but somehow with most of the world moving to open source languages R, Python and Julia, SAS BI feels to be archaic in terms of feature set and integrations it allow[s]. Also, comparing it with other Business Intelligence tools like Tableau and Microsoft BI, the functionality of SAS BI is very limited and doesn't justify the pricing.

The fast and comprehensive responses we got from GoodData regarding the doubts we had experienced while starting to use the products and metrics were of great help in ensuring the metrics we were obtaining were accurate to what we wanted to know about our customers' experience and our product areas of opportunity.

When you call tech support, you are immediately routed to a person who can answer your question. Often they can answer on the spot. However, if they cannot, you are given a track number and then followed up with. There have been times when I have had multiple track numbers open and they will actually TRACK YOU DOWN to ensure that your problem has been resolved. Issues do not fall into black holes with SAS. They are also willing to do a WebEx with you to diagnose the problem by seeing your environment, which is always helpful.

  • Last month we made a decision using the platform and withing a short span of time our ROI gets 7X.

  • SAS Visual Analytics licensing cost should be reduced to enable users to use it in mass scale.
  • More statistical and mathematical equations and theories should be converted into SAS functions for reusing.
  • Because of enriched ETL and reporting capabilities SAS Visual Analytics is most preferred by business users.
