On the other hand, VMware Application Catalog (Bitnami) may be less appropriate for the following scenarios: - Organizations that primarily use proprietary or closed-source applications: As the product is limited to open-source applications, it may not be suitable for organizations that primarily use proprietary or closed-source applications. - Organizations that require a high degree of customizability for their applications: The product offers limited customizability options for the applications once deployed, which may not be suitable for organizations that require a high degree of customizability. - Organizations that have strict regulatory compliance requirements: The open-source nature of the product may make it less appropriate for organizations that have strict regulatory compliance requirements, as it may not have the same level of support and security as proprietary software.

With VMware cloud, each VMware Cloud customer must have an SDDC account(VMC) as well as a general AWS account. The two accounts must be linked for the service to work which is a tiresome thing to do for some clients but with IBM Cloud Private all these issues are solved.

At first, another of the options that we considered was AMPPS, another application for AMP installations, however we quickly discarded it when we met with VMware Application Catalog (Bitnami), mainly due to the number of apps it handled, more than anything because it had all the ones we used and also the option free made it very tempting, more time in the market and more community support
