ilos vs. InVideo AI

ilos is great for a larger group looking for an easy to learn capture system and platform all combined together. Because it lets you record, edit, and share there is no reason to learn one or two software for capture and editing, and another for sharing. ilos is not targeted at intermediate or advanced users, so the ability to manipulate your content - specifically when editing, is very limiting to more experienced users.

• Desktop capture is simple even for first-time users
• Editing capabilities and focused on only the most common features, avoiding overwhelm or confusion
• Sharing inside Canvas is simple and intuitive

• The quota of downloads never refreshes by itself for us and when its more than a month we face difficulty in downloads.
• When reached to them, everytime ask for purchase record, being a tech company we expect them to have all the records intacts
• For first they try to stall us that oh you might have consumed the refreshed data, but when you show them the count they finally refresh it.
• Its a pain point for us every month.

• Features are often rolled out before they are fully baked
• Communication of changes can be limited and frustrating
• Not all changes feel like improvements, much less necessary

It was a tough call to choose ilos over Kaltura, but the more limited features made ilos seem more approachable for novice users. Price was also far lower because of the limited focus of ilos. Kaltura did offer more tools for marketing/public purposes - such as streaming, capture integration, and video portals - but none of those are necessary for us.

I also used Powtoon for video-making service before InVideo. I am using InVideo for the last year and I found it very beneficial & effective than Powtoon because InVideo provides lots of features like Bulk Uploading, Closed captions, Engagement Tracking, Inside the Video Search, Speed Adjustment, Video Looping, and much more which are not provided by Powtoon. That is the main reason to choose InVideo against it.
