    • robust enough ETL for our data warehouse team
    • data would remain within our data warehouse and not within the tool's proprietary store, in case the company went out of business.

    Birst allows direct access to an internal data store, which none of the products we evaluated provided. We also found the birst ETL layer far more powerful than the other platforms we considered.

    • Tableau: no cloud strategy. Does not scale horizontally
