Chose InMotion Hosting
I selected them 10 years ago so decided it must be easier to stick with them. Boy was I wrong. I think Cloudways blows them out of the water. Don't use InMotion Hosting or be warned. You get what you pay for. In my opinion, their support is lacking and they just want to bill …
Chose InMotion Hosting
inMotion shared hosting has not been as reliable as HostGator due to the aforementioned I/O limitations. inMotion VPS hosting is much more affordable than HostGator. I've found inMotion customer support to be much more reliable and responsive than HostGator at every level. …
Chose InMotion Hosting
The two companies I've used before InMotion are no longer in business.
Chose InMotion Hosting
InMotion is great if you're looking for a quick dedicated hosting solution for your needs. It's great in terms of having fixed costs for your hosting needs. However it hits a ceiling once you grow past a certain point. That's where solutions like AWS and Azure are much better …
Chose InMotion Hosting
As part of my search for a solid re-seller friendly hosting company, I also seriously considered Siteground. Inmotion Hosting provided a better pricing model, so I went with Inmotion. In the following years, I came across Cloud Access through Joomla's launch program. Their …
Chose InMotion Hosting
InMotion Hosting is ultimately more affordable and their customer support is superior to SiteGround
Chose InMotion Hosting
I had terrible tech support and frequent service outages with GoDaddy. Bluehost didn't have very good tech support and their pricing was higher.
IONOS Hosting
Chose IONOS Hosting
iPage is terrible. They don't even really have a proper cPanel and GoDaddy is kind of hard to navigate once you log in. The DNS settings are not obvious and the interface is clunky and old looking. By comparison, 1&1 provides all the features you'd need to manage your domains …
Chose IONOS Hosting
Godaddy users seem to have more challenges with connecting their websites to their domain and customer service.
Chose IONOS Hosting
Rackspace I find to be too pricey for the service they offer. Pagely is very much WordPress oriented. I've had downtime with both that I haven't experienced with 1&1.

For VPS hosting, they're the only host I use or would recommend. They have a budget friendly approach and the resources advertised are accurate. I was disappointed (and unfortunately surprised) to see the I/O limitations of 1MB/s imposed on their shared reseller hosting. It's not advertised but really does cripple shared reseller hosting as nearly any activity on the site immediately starts affecting performance.

Reasonable pricing (SSL certificate for only $30! vs the usual $99), ease of use on the backend and/or dashboard, and reliable customer service, all make this a win in my book. And, of course, you can't beat the free private registration that comes with each domain purchase. I've been recommending 1&1 to all my clients for domain purchases for years.

Their team was always responsive, helpful and eager to support us whenever we needed their help. Additionally, they followed up each time they supported us to see if the applied fixes to our problems satisfactorily resolved our issues. In all, their support was top notch.

As part of my search for a solid re-seller friendly hosting company, I also seriously considered Siteground. Inmotion Hosting provided a better pricing model, so I went with Inmotion. In the following years, I came across Cloud Access through Joomla's launch program. Their website management tool was awesome, and I recommend individual Joomla users check them out if they want to launch with this awesome CMS. I've yet to experience their customer service, so I'm not sure how it fares.

The scalability of the email solution far exceeds our needs and would be suitable for organizations not looking for an enterprise sized multipurpose solution (O365, Google Workspace, etc).
