InMotion Hosting vs. WordPress VIP

For VPS hosting, they're the only host I use or would recommend. They have a budget friendly approach and the resources advertised are accurate. I was disappointed (and unfortunately surprised) to see the I/O limitations of 1MB/s imposed on their shared reseller hosting. It's not advertised but really does cripple shared reseller hosting as nearly any activity on the site immediately starts affecting performance.

WordPress VIP really changed the game when it comes to WordPress CMS and Content Management. A one-stop shop for all our client's business needs. We are focusing on Content Management instead of technicalities. The big advantage is the security features covering all recent vulnerabilities that any WordPress developer/user wastes lots of precious time fixing/updating. Performance-wise, WordPress VIP is definitely up there. We’ve been doing lots of optimization work over the last few years. Every client wants to score 100. With WordPress VIP we decreased the time spent on optimization significantly and now feel confident with taking more performance optimisation work than we did before. Lastly, maybe the most important for every business is the support quality. WordPress VIP runs a superb support team with phenomenal knowledge and expertise. Quick to respond and solves issues here and now. It is definitely recommended.

Their team was always responsive, helpful and eager to support us whenever we needed their help. Additionally, they followed up each time they supported us to see if the applied fixes to our problems satisfactorily resolved our issues. In all, their support was top notch.

There wasn't a single problem that wouldn't be solved by the WordPress VIP support team, and I had quite a few questions during the process. They were always available and provided in-depth expertise on topics I was interested in. As part of my search for a solid re-seller friendly hosting company, I also seriously considered Siteground. Inmotion Hosting provided a better pricing model, so I went with Inmotion. In the following years, I came across Cloud Access through Joomla's launch program. Their website management tool was awesome, and I recommend individual Joomla users check them out if they want to launch with this awesome CMS. I've yet to experience their customer service, so I'm not sure how it fares.

It would be fair to say that both are superb products that follow through on promises and have very strong marketing and teams behind them. For truly enterprise organisations though, one would be tempted to recommend WordPress VIP at this moment in time, but one to keep an eye on, Engine, is extremely capable.
