We have a large vendor who provide supplies as per the requirement. In order to maintain the supplier quality it was a need to supplier quality management tool where organisation people can raise the issue related to any goods or the supplier which can logged in the tool in form of non conformity. The QMS is well suited for standardizing the steps that go along with a process. The workflows and activity ownership makes it very easy to make sure that processes are completed according to the way the workflow is displayed. It becomes very simple to track down the stage at which a process is at. Processes are done in a linear orderly manner.

  • The applications are linked to each other so that activities can be shared, collaborated and escalated in one platform.
  • Applications are sufficient "out of the box" but can be configured easily with its intuitive Design tools.

Cons
  • When an employee is archived their information can no longer be pulled into a document via metatags. This is a flaw in the system and it would be valuable for this functionality to exist.
  • Better communication between Intelex and System Admins when upgrades are performed. They occasionally adversely affect the system and this lessens user confidence in the system.
  • Initial consultant was fantastic and response times were quick. The support ticket system is not as timely.

  • Although the configuration is a "no code" approach, there is a learning curve to effecting design changes.
  • The user guide documentation provided is OK for administrators but needs to be more user-friendly for general users.
  • Importing "legacy" data from existing processes can be cumbersome.

Usability
No answers on this topic
There is always resistance to change, but users are finding Intellect QMS to exceed their expectations as we migrate from our legacy "island" Sharepoint-based processes. Training is actually easiest to do hands-on, and users can learn quickly and then help train others. Users appreciate the personal navigation dashboard and the familiarity of the interface from one application to another. The workflow-driven applications are intuitive and make the system easy to navigate for all levels of users, although the learning curves will vary. The "Design-Test-Live" approach facilitates the implementation of configuration changes suggested by users.

We just upgrade the document control application from V5 to V6. There are still quite a bit of issues left unresolved.

We considered other "out of the box" platforms and decided to partner with Intellect QMS because of the ease of implementation and scalability. We went through a lot of demos and preferred the Intellect QMS user interface and responsiveness of the customer support team. The cost was competitive to launch and will allow us to add users and applications as we continue to grow. Many of the customer testimonials we reviewed pointed to Intellect QMS as the best fit for our organization.

Return on Investment
  • I'm not sure if Intelex was the right product for us. Due to parent company requirements, we moved forward with it.

  • Users appreciate the time and effort saved by having all of the QMS functions connected and in one place, without having to rely on emails, Sharepoint links multiple modes of communication to keep track of their activities and responsibilities.
  • The no-code platform means we don't need IT support to maintain and configure the applications. One administrator was able to get the system launched and effective in just several weeks, with ongoing training and customization as users and applications are added.
  • Our organization was recently certified to ISO 9001:2015. Intellect QMS helped us to navigate internal and audits confidently and effectively.
