Justworks offers a platform for payroll, benefits, compliance support, with HR tools. As a Professional Employer Organization (PEO), Justworks offers PEO solutions that can bundle payroll, compliance, HR, and benefits under the Justworks umbrella, and help to administer employment-related responsibilities on the user's behalf. With Justworks' group buying power, customers can get access to PEO health insurance and other perks at more affordable rates. The vendor states that as a…
I have always been very pro-Intuit. Intuit links all their products together, and that is super convenient when I need information from another source.
It's a payroll software with decent customer support readily available and direct integration with my accounting tools. This made it a prime fit for me, and made payment and tax reporting relatively simple, and errors readily correctable. It does not have time tracking, and I …
Data transfer is seamless and allows for data analysis and business management. Reduction of errors in basic data entry allows more time for analysis and managing business finances. Knowing the data flows from one to the other keeps me from checking multiple places for …
It is unfortunate to be stuck with only one solution and to be paying for each client. The two-day (and in some cases, one day) turn around time really sealed the deal for me. And that is without pre-funding an account. It reduces complexity, so I'm not paying for a bunch of …
Paychex is more automated and user-friendly in the day-to-day operations of the payroll. We also have a great sales rep who has helped us with the whole process.
I like maintaining one very strong accounting/ERP ecosystem that I trust and that is why I selected Intuit Payroll. The system is trustworthy/reliable, runs on the cloud and integrates with existing QuickBooks products. The pricing becomes more competitive when it is bundled …
This is a different product in my eyes. Most of the "outsourcers" really take over the entire payroll function, which divorces it from your accounting records --- and then later they try to stuff the results back into accounting through a GJE entry. If the circumstances are …
ADP was our previous PEO and, in my experience, they were old, clunky and never got back to us. In my opinion, the customer service was non-existent. Insperity was out of our budget but I think it is a good product. Paychex flex was similar and I like their product for …
Justworks is a much simpler platform with better pricing. I remember ADP's cost was tied to a certain percentage of the total payroll, which is not ideal if you have highly compensated employees. Though ADP offered more ancillary benefit options and group employee discounts, …
We like Justworks over Gusto for the simple reason that Justworks has better benefits offering for a company as small as us. It has turned out that Justworks also has been rolling out new features that we didn't know we wanted (like timecard integrations), and that has also …
We used paycor only for payroll, but even in this regard I felt it was inferior to Justworks. The key differentiator in my mind was customer support and user interface. Paycor support was difficult and rarely made exceptions. Their interface felt like a web 1.0 legacy software.
Justworks serves all the basic needs with less of the frills and bells and whistles that Insperity has. Insperity from my recollection, had a lot more of the non-essential frills that benefited employees, such as promotions and discounts for consumer products and services …
Selecting Boomr wasn't my decision, but as a user, it's much more convenient then having to boot up a computer, log in, and then clock in. This, again, is especially true due to half of our team no longer working directly in our main office. Also, if for some reason the …
They are similar tools in what they do. Justworks is a little easier to navigate; Trinet does have the Time-off estimator. Justworks is a much better cost for a very comparable product.
Justworks offers a more robust functionality than Gusto. The ability to track time off, manage pay stubs, distribute and manage benefits administration, and house a company-wide directory with key dates and information about each individual are all extremely helpful. Having a …
Harvest allows employees to track their time but does not provide the same variety of features needed to manage a large number of users as Justworks. This includes managing benefits, payroll, and employee-required courses (such as Harassment Prevention). Furthermore, some …
Paychex's interface is outdated and challenging to navigate. Their customer support is challenging as they are such a big company, you often have to be transferred to another department before speaking with the appropriate person.
Justworks is cheaper, more intuitive, and easier to use than other tools. It has a clean interface, unlike Trinet which I have used at a previous company (3+ years ago). Trinet does provide better HR services through your account manager who is an HR specialist, unlike …
JustWorks is MUCH easier to use. The user interface is light years ahead of TriNet. Though JustWorks has a smaller number of health insurance plans available, I found it easier to navigate their selections because of the 1-pagers they provide and because there weren't SO many …
We switched from TriNet to JustWorks for a number of reasons. TriNet's platform was outdated and consistently used third-party sites. None of their reporting was correct, nothing was integrated and my employees had an extremely difficult time finding and accessing anything they …
First the cost is very competitive and reasonable, for what we use it for. Each coffee shop has about 5-6 employees, and the costs only incur as a per-check that is run basis instead of a large flat fee for services we won't use. Direct deposit feature is our must-have, the pay dates are super reliable and we have never had any issues with transmission, or taxes not being sent, etc.
Overall, Justworks is a great platform to use to manage organization wide payroll, benefits (medical/dental/vision), and other misc. HR related services (401(k), life insurance, AD&D). The value Justworks brings to our organization greatly exceeds its cost, which I find very reasonable. I particularly love its customer service, which is fast, reliable, and helpful (By calling a number, you get connected directly to a customer service rep., no answer machines or need to press multiple buttons/selections to get to where you need). By implementing Justworks for our HR needs in the U.S., it greatly reduces the time I spent on HR administration duties while offering great benefits and HR services to our employees.
The JustWorks platform is extremely user-friendly. Everything is built in with a seamless user experience. 9 times out of 10, if my employees are looking for something, it is right in front of them.
JustWorks has amazing customer service. Every member of their team is equipped to answer any questions you may have. This is super helpful when you have an immediate need and can't get a hold of your Account Manager. They can look up your account, answer questions and relay the information to your Account Manager providing seamless communication.
JustWorks did an outstanding job walking my employees through their initial set up process. While hesitant about switching insurance carries, our Account Manager was able to answer every question we had with transparency. They even made suggestions about rolling over deductibles that had already been met and gave important information about current healthcare providers being in network.
More HR info in regards to compliance and resources for employees to stay in compliance (they have just started to do this with sexual harassment but more things like this would be great!)
Better integrations with company holidays and timesheets. They have recently updated PTO to integrate so I'm hoping that company holidays would also be a feature added.
I would rate it a 0. It gets worse and worse all the time. It seems like every time I go into IOP to run a payroll for one of my clients, I have one more problem.
Justworks is a really good platform for payroll and even vendor payments. There are some areas of improvement that Justworks could make in the area of bulk processing, to decrease administrative time as well as reporting. There are no reports we currently use from the Justworks platform as we have not found them useful.
The customer support personnel have always walked me through the steps they need to take to assist me. Never rushed through anything. Always exceptionally thorough, answering all my questions and even sharing my screen visually (I have control, not them). It actually helps me to resolve future issues and questions, if they should arise.
Justworks offers many different options for customer service. You can contact them via email, phone or Slack. They are quick to resolve issues and if your Account Manager is out of office, they have other Managers covering your account who are knowledgable and ready to support. They also have an office in New York, which makes their support even more localized.
I like maintaining one very strong accounting/ERP ecosystem that I trust and that is why I selected Intuit Payroll. The system is trustworthy/reliable, runs on the cloud and integrates with existing QuickBooks products. The pricing becomes more competitive when it is bundled with other Intuit products. Also, Intuit tends to be a company that listens to its customers and accountant implementation partners, and if a feature or area of functionality is suggested or recommended to Intuit, they take it very seriously. They are continually improving and rolling out new features on all their products.
ADP was our previous PEO and, in my experience, they were old, clunky and never got back to us. In my opinion, the customer service was non-existent. Insperity was out of our budget but I think it is a good product. Paychex Flex was similar and I like their product for payroll; however, we wanted to offer healthcare, commuter benefits and a 401k to employees and although Paychex is starting to offer those items through 3rd party providers, it wasn't as integrated of a solution as Justworks presented.
Having all of my clients on one platform has been a huge benefit to quickly and easily processing payrolls and tax payments.
Intuit Payroll has saved me a ton of time also since, after the setup, processing payroll, taxes, and forms takes only a few clicks. That equates to hours of work time I can spend on something else.
The reminders ensure I never miss a deadline. The dashboard shows me a list of all outstanding tax payments and forms that need filed and by when.
