I think powerschool excels at more simple enrollment tasks however moodle does a better job being flexible and catering to anything a professor could want to do.
We already use PowerSchool SIS, and before it became PowerSchool Registration, it was Infosnap, and it integrated with PowerSchool SIS seamlessly. Now that PowerSchool has bought it, the system only keeps getting better and better. Having both companies work together makes …
PowerSchool registration was Infosnap when we bought it, and at the time it made the rest look like amateurs, but one of the main reasons for us was that it worked directly with PowerSchool. It has since been rolled into PowerSchool. Had it not been, and it was still …
Jenzabar ONE is strongly suited for an all-in one solution for higher ed. The modern web-based platform make it efficient for end users. An institution that wants a full communication platform to connect with students, Jenzabar is the right product for your school. As with any product, development with Jenzabar One continues which is a good thing but also may cause some schools to want more features more quickly.
PowerSchool registration is good for yearly registration and year-round updates. I would say it is not as good as if you just have a short survey to ask-- there may be other alternatives in the district that are not as cumbersome to use to accommodate something like that. Jenzabar ONE is good at what it does. Given our discounting structure within the association of colleges and universities of which we are a member, the ROI on Jenzabar ONE beats the pants off anyone else's offerings. Switching horses mid-stream would be costly and difficult. Fortunately, Jenzabar ONE has the general capabilities we seek.
Overall support is excellent. The people are amazing. They have played with different ways of giving the best support, meaning a dedicated specialist vs. email vs. tracking sheet, etc., which was a little frustrating going through those changes. Still, I appreciate all their efforts in finding what works best for their customers. They listen to their customers and make changes.
Jenzabar ONE has 90% of the capabilities of of its competitors, and a price point significantly below those products. Both Banner and PeopleSoft provide capabilities that exceed what we need. Paying for those additional features is not cost effective. In short, Jenzabar ONE does nearly everything we need, and both Banner and PeopleSoft only offer extra capabilities we will not use.
We already use PowerSchool SIS, and before it became PowerSchool Registration, it was Infosnap, and it integrated with PowerSchool SIS seamlessly. Now that PowerSchool has bought it, the system only keeps getting better and better. Having both companies work together makes the updates less quirky. We no longer have to hope the new updates work in both systems.
Implementing the new admissions portal has led to a 12% increase in enrollment as we were able to spend time directly working with students with how it automated previously manual tasks.
The ACH and credit card payment portal with self-selection of student payment plans has allowed the business office to collect 70% of what we used to send to collections.
