Not quite as close but a lot of the data one uses goes to Klipfolio. It would be great if they were to connected more seamlessly. Sometimes using the data in Google Sheets and Google Slides is the easiest option, despite corporate wanting us to use the program more.
Chose Klipfolio Klips
Klipfolio had by the far most user-friendly interface with the best visualization I found. The price was below average on the software I compared to when I first purchased Klipfolio back in 2018. Today I primarily use Microsoft Power BI, because it is part of the Microsoft …

Chose Klipfolio Klips

They are all based on a similar methodology (Excel) but I felt Klipfolio had better integrations and their support team has been the difference maker. For a company that needs some hand-holding and guidance, Klipfolio is the right choice.

It's
a piece of software that's capable of almost anything. Dynamic variables can be
changed in real-time via the interface's UI/UX and UI/UX customizations. As a
result, it can always keep its database up-to-date and obtain the most current
information from a variety of sources. The Klip customer service team is
extremely friendly and helpful. Every time a problem with the Klip setup
arises, they're there to help. As a result of their activities, they try to
work with the group's experience.

When you need to create a centralised dashboard for multiple stakeholders that blends cross-channel reporting. As an SEO agency reporting for clients - Looker is a great solution. It's less appropriate depending on the intended users. For instance, in my experience Looker reports have been under-utilised because they're not accessed regularly, provide too much noise or often simple PDF reports are preferred

Pros
  • Dashboard design. Super simple and easy to set up, move and size components, and display.
  • Klip creation. This is report/chart creation. Klipfolio straddles the line well between ease-of-use and robust capability for data crunching and visualization.
  • Data sync. I have had very few data sync issues. The sync just works and it is very light-weight on API calls.
  • Multiple data source formats. You can make data sources in JSON, Summarized View, and Detailed View.
  • Modeled data sources. You can create modeled versions of any data source, which allows you to lock in data formats, add columns (including formula columns), and more.
  • Team permissions. I have been able to set team permission sets and use that to display the given dashboards around the office. With this, I can control who has access to which data.
  • Chart options. There is a great selection of chart types to choose from.
  • Great support. Their support staff has always been very responsive—almost always immediate. I have always been able to resolve my issues with them.

  • It is very easy to start a new dashboard and configure what you want to display by just selecting/dragging from the list of available columns.
  • It is intuitive, mainly if you use other Google services like Google Sheets.
  • The look and feel is modern and nice.
  • It it very useful to have an immediate visual overview of the data in a spreadsheet.

Cons
  • Onboarding. The process of setting up a new client for a dashboard can be a little tedious.
  • File size upload and third-party integrations. I have been limited to the size of the .csv file we were uploading but we were able to find a workaround.

  • I wish I could get more granular in the Google ad data, such as down to the campaign type, instead of having to see only all campaigns.
  • The setup can be time-consuming if you're not using the product regularly.
  • Editing the dashboard requires a few logins; I wish it was more seamless.

Usability
My initial impressions of the software have been extremely positive. There are YouTube tutorials that explain how to make klips. The intuitive design of the UI It appears that everything in this software has been thoroughly tested to create all the visualizations that can be imagined as well as the user input controls that allow users to have exactly the data they want to be displayed in seconds, considering the various functions and formulas available in the Excel integrations and the extensive list of other services that can be integrated.

Looker is relatively easy to use, even as it is set up. The customers for the front-end only have issues with the initial setup for looker ml creations. Other "looks" are relatively easy to set up, depending on the ETL and the data which is coming into Looker on a regular basis.

Never had to work with support for issues. Any questions we had, they would respond promptly and clearly. The one-time setup was easy, by reading documentation. If the feature is not supported, they will add a feature request. In this case, LDAP support was requested over OKTA. They are looking into it.

In my opinion, Looker is no Power BI. It is good, but I think Power BI is amazing. That said, in my experience, Power BI is nowhere near as easy to setup and report on Google services as Looker is. We plan to continue using Power BI for c-suite and corporate reporting, especially for internal databases, but will gladly use Looker for our marketing information for AdWords, Analytics, Search Console, and YouTube.

Return on Investment
  • Klipfolio not only delivers great-looking dashboards, but it makes our agency look awesome to our clients!
  • Klipfolio is one of the few platforms that we have implemented where the minimal investment has consistently provided maximum results in the return on our investment.
  • Not only had Klipfolio proven to be a fiscally smart - money-saving - move, but has also proven to be a great time saver as well.
  • Thanks to Klipfolio we spend less time having to pull data and have more time to analyze and strategize for our reporting and recommendations to our clients.

  • Other than some people not liking the numbers, I don't see any negative impacts; we haven't experienced that.
  • The reports help us unravel the story of our users and how they are sifting through our pages.
  • Our clients enjoy seeing the numbers to understand better what stands out on their sites.
  • The reports have helped us see what campaigns are working and where we need to tweak things.
  • The reports have enabled us to have better conversations with stakeholders about how their web pages should be modified, edited, etc., to reflect the data.
