Chose Leanplum
  • We evaluated Firebase for A/B experimentation but the kind of options provided by Leanplum were immense.
  • Too many options for customization, defining user segments, variables, etc.
  • Funnels and segment analysis on the tool
Chose Leanplum
I felt that Leanplum had the best value & KPI/revenue reporting out of the competitors we tested. They also had very strong segmentation capabilities, which the client has utilized and found very useful. Overall, it was a big improvement operationally over Urban Airship, the …
Chose Leanplum
We saw other companies in our vertical having success with Leanplum for mobile delivery - since our app is mobile first it made sense. We do have campaigns running in other platforms like Intercom, and we keep both softwares operating in tandem. Intercom addresses our needs for …
Chose Leanplum
We used other solutions like DeltaDNA, Flurry, etc., but Leanplum has been our preference overall, as it combines an all in one suite of marketing tools for in-game promotions.

MyCase previously didn't have texting (it does now). When we chose Zipwhip, there was nothing out there at the time that compared to it. We selected Zipwhip because it was a low-cost and easy-to-use add-on to our tech stack that allowed us to communicate quickly with people, …

We used DYL prior to getting Zipwhip but DYL is more expensive and is not integrated with our CRM.

While we still use Dialpad for calls since Zipwhip does not support calls, Dialpad gave us far less visibility into employee communications. We were always spending a lot of time discussing something that an employee said to another user without having the full context of the …

Zipwhip is just a little bit more user-friendly than AliveChat because it allows you to text people on more scale. AliveChat has a great website chat function, but its texting platform is a little more clunky than Zipwhip. Zipwhip is a little more expensive but definitely the …

We mainly use EZ Texting to bulk text when needed and we use Dialpad for our 1 on 1 communications via text now. Our voice is through Dialpad so it is a lot more efficient for agents to be in one place for all manners of communication. EZ Texting allows us to bulk text where …

None. I wasn't involved in the decision making, however, I like all the options Zipwhip has to offer.

Enabling the business number is a key feature for us. Also, their pricing is all inclusive which is super helpful and a lot easier when it is not per text pricing model for our kind of business and reselling.

Leanplum has been exciting for us to use. It's given us visibility into how our campaigns work, and most importantly, it's built with mobile apps and mobile delivery in mind. If you have a lot of content (blogs/emails) that needs to get delivered, and discrete customer segments, it's a good choice

Zipwhip is well suited for brief communication at scale. Our Fan services reps after close to 1,000 accounts, and this allows them to get out quick messages at scale. It is less appropriate for longer messages where email or a phone call is the better route to reach out.

Pros
  • The ability to send out a message to all of the users of our application at one time without an update to the store version, is one of the best features of Leanplum.
  • Targeting specific users and being able to tailor a message just for them. No need to send out a message to all users if the message does not apply to all users.
  • The meta data tracking of Leanplum is also very powerful for determining how and where to target the correct users for your upcoming applications or features.

  • I would like the quick-use app that pulls from the taskbar to be able to hold more characters- It can only do 250 while the main screen can do 600.
  • The ability to send video through this program would significantly enhance its functionality for us.

Usability

It was very easy for users to use, straight forward, and user friendly. The desktop app is very basic but easy to reply to an incoming text, but the user had to know to allow Chrome notifications to see new incoming text via the web browser, which is how they mainly used it.

We hadn't really looked at other services before choosing Zipwhip as there were not a lot of test-to-landline companies when we began looking. The price was right and the customer service was amazing. It was easy to learn the software and to onboard our entire team. When we began letting our customers know about the new texting capability we had, they were curious about it and grew to love it. Because we're able to link it with their trip, they not only can receive status updates but also a link to our GPS, so they can see where their chauffeur and vehicle are in real-time, along with a photo of the chauffeur and the vehicle. This function is perhaps our corporate clients' most favorite feature as they don't have to call to see where the vehicle for their VIP is; they can watch it in real-time. For group work, Zipwhip lets us send the program manager customized updates for all of their booked trips. This is such a time saver in so many ways. Time is money and for a small business, there are many ways that this helps. Our employees spend less time on the phone and productivity is increased. Texting is great too as it serves as documentation should any issues arise.

  • They out of the blue raised the price 300% on us that negatively impacted the budget we had planned out for the year.
  • Initially it did help increase contact rates.
  • Time consuming and hard to manage.
